Awe - (((Hugs))) to Leo!! I don't think I've ever mentioned that my Grandpa's name was Leo (my Moms Dad) - seeing that name always makes me smile! :)

Just as we were leaving Bellville to go to Jacob's recital yesterday, a storm came up. The power went out and trees went down. Wow, it was crazy for minute there! But it passed in less than a half hour. I don't have much damage here, but some other folks weren't that lucky.

Jacob's performance was great! Afterwards, he was given a plaque. It was the "Victor Wooten Award for Bass Guitar Excellence." Victor Wooten is an award-winning bass guitarist, but he also runs a camp for kids with emphasis on music. He's an awesome guy. Jacob was so proud!

Hello all. The wife and I are in Indianapolis for the PopCon(ComicCon). Yesterday was our 10th Anniversary, so we are staying in a beautiful hotel downtown, which connects via skywalk to the Convention Center for the PopCon.
Yesterday we were Rorschach and NightOwl from the Watchmen. Today my wife is Batwoman (specifically from the Bombshells comic) and I am dressed in DieselPunk.

It's a nice Saturday once you step outside in the sunlight for a little while. I've been assigned to a project at work where I must work 12-16 hours a day, 7 days a week for the next three weeks. So, I just took a little break, headed to the garage to get 4 new tires put on the van. I'm sitting outside catching a few rays, while they are putting the tires on.

That is how I will spend Father's Day as well also. Oh well, my company needs me and, well, when I needed them, they were there for me. So, it's not a big deal, I'll just celebrate it with my kids another weekend.

I worked all day. Hubby helped his brother's friend move and is spending the evening at their place. So it's just Loki and me and the DVR tonight. Temperature is still 29°C (84°F) at 7pm. It's just a perfect Summer week. Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend.

My latest stretch of 6 in a row is done, I am hoping my schedule gets a little more predictable again. Between the crazy schedule, and all the training I have been doing at work, the baseball games, and regular family time I am beat. All I have to say is 9 more working days until vacay!

I did a last second run to Goodwill on my way home from work, since it had been a few weeks, I had another unexpected find, another book I have had my eye on, on Amazon turned up there. I have had an amazing string of luck there lately. Maybe I should play the lottery...

We are taking my grandfather across the state tomorrow for a Father's day celebration, it was a last second switch up due to unforeseen circumstances. My family will be taking me out for my Father's day celebration on Wednesday instead. My boys and I are lucky to be celebrating with him.

Thanks for the thoughts & prayers for Mom. She seemed much better by Saturday morning. My sis stayed with her Saturday & she was fine. I talked to her yesterday & she was going to my nieces for a cook out! She may have just had an "off" day on Friday. xx She can use the prayers today though - my brother is breaking the news to her that my aunt (her youngest sister) didn't get good news from any of the 3 doctors in Cleveland about her pancreatic cancer. And we also found out this morning, one of Moms good friends was diagnosed with bone cancer & it has spread to her organs. She will be very sad today! :(

Well, Mr.'s cold finally caught up with me. It's fairly mild, and I'm going to try to keep it that way. A little congestion, some sneezing, and a scratchy throat so far. I'm throwing lots of tea, lemon, and honey at it. Mr.'s still trying to get rid of his, too.
