Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good Morning, friends~
Merry Pines Day!!

Two more days of work this week, and then the fun begins

Adi, Harlowe, and I went to the house last night so we could see the progress he made yesterday. Wow! He really accomplished a lot by himself, bless his heart.

The utility room is all Halloween, Autumn, Christmas, and Winter decorations right now, on shelving units. Some of it has been on shelving units in the past, but for the most part it's only been the village pieces. It's nice to see things out. Adi pointed out that he doesn't remember some of them, and some haven't been put out in awhile! You miss a box, or whatnot, and there it sits. So we had to stop at Menards for more shelving units again last night. The last thing he asked me is how much more do we have boxed up? And it's quite a bit, lol- I think we'll be putting certain things back in boxes.
He is such a sweetheart, though. He was so excited to show me what he did, I didn't expect any of it. I figured he was just unloading boxes in the garage.

The landscaping is looking really nice so far! The sprinkler system is on schedule for today, and then finish up with the plumbing portion inside on Thursday.
If all stays on track, hopefully the appraisal will be Friday.

Harlowe got to meet her new Cavalier King Charles neighbor friends last night, Bella & Cooper. It went great! So cute to see the three of them together!

We had a nice dinner at Olive Garden last night for KK's birthday. Thanks for all the well wishes. I can't believe my youngest child is 20. I must be old. Busy day ahead at work. Have a blessed day and I'll see you all at The Pines tonight.

Happy Pines, Rich! Happy to hear your daughter had a good birthday. Have a great day and see you at the Pines!

We have 90° days coming starting tomorrow on our end of the state. Got some much needed rain this morning,my lawn is turning brown and getting crunchy.

But regardless, we must now turn our attention to the count and its important message:
Days to the Season: 144
Days to Christmas Day: 186

And referencing our chart, we note that we have now passed under the HALF-A-WEEK mark to our next Milestone, the HALF WAY marker to Christmas Day 2016!


Warmer and more humid yesterday, as promised by the weather service.
More of the same today. At least it is not supposed to rain.
We have started off in our little sector of MMC at 75 degrees under calm, sunny skies.

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day again! Looks like it's a little cooler today or less humid. Opening my windows after running the a/c some the last couple of days. At least we have not had any real hot/humid long stretches (yet) this late spring/early summer. I had a good nights sleep so I'm hoping that gives me energy through the middle of the week.

Good Morning MMC!! Happy Wednesday..I cannot believe we are already mid-week. Just work for me today and hopefully a workout at the gym. My husband's back is a tab bit better. The spasms stopped at least. My kids are going to my MIL's house to swim. Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning all! Relaxing morning so far, with coffee and breakfast. We are expecting storms today and they are saying some may be severe, we will see.
Henry likes when it storms, because he makes a "fort" in case the weather gets too bad.
Luckily, we got the grass mowed yesterday, so...let it rain.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

The Grand Ole Opry was AWESOME! There were several acts, including The Whites, "Whispering" Bill Anderson, Tracey Lawrence, The Charlie Daniels Band, an awesome bluegrass group, and a couple other acts that I didn't recognize. We all thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

We rode down Broadway, and you could hear bands playing in the various saloons as we passed. (I keep saying it, but we have to get the band back together!) We also toured a recording studio, and visited some old record stores for Jacob. The only meal we ate yesterday was at Hard Rock. Not bad, but $20 for a burger & fries? Of course, I'm sitting here posting while holding a $4 cup of house coffee from Starbucks. Highway robbery! Ha!

We're heading home today. I'm not looking forward to the 7+ hour drive, but it'll be good to see Bellville, and great to see Lulu! She's been staying with my mom, so I know she's been pampered. I hope she wants to come home! LOL

Wow is that what they call a dry heat?

Dry heat is just as miserable in it's own right
Growing up in Wisconsin, I was used to humidity. Living in the desert for 10+ years, I got used to "dry heat" too. When it's 117 degrees, hot is hot! It's stifling, actually.
