Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good Morning everyone .. sitting here enjoying some pumpkin spice coffee before I get busy. I will be making and canning cherry berry jam. Some of them will be used for Christmas Gifts. I am hoping to be able to watch a Christmas Movie later today.

Happy Sunday MMC...I hope everyone is having a good long weekend. I am sorry I have not been around, my Dad was admitted to the hospital yesterday. For the past few weeks he has been telling me he is having shortness of breath. He went to his Dr and they gave him some antibiotics and he felt a bit better. He called me yesterday morning @6am and said he didn't feel right and was going to the hospital around 7. And they did some bloodwork and found out he is serverely anemic. He needed a few blood transfusions and he is feeling so much better. They did an upper gi scope to see if they can find the cause of bleeding but the GI dr did not see anything so tomorrow morning @8am they are going to do a colonoscopy. I am praying whatever they find is a quick fix and nothing more serious. Sorry this is so long but I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! I will check in with you all later.

Good Monday morning everyone and Happy 4th of July to everyone in the USA! Very quick check-in for me, I have to get ready for work. Worked all weekend and was exhausted, I barely had time to catch up on this thread. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

I couldn't agree more! Before we know it, school will be opening (we start August 15) and things the Ber's...along with 100 days to Christmas...will be here. I'm not going to rush it, but I sure do love this time for the planning that I can get done.

Well, Bambina has a newfound fear....

Fireworks.

It was a long night. Our city allows people to shoot them on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th. It was a long night. About 8:00, we had to leave because she was so terrified. Came home about 11:30. Woke up this morning to the news that my in-laws dog died during the night. I hate it for them. They were so close to their dog....they will surely have a sad 4th.

Got to get going. Have a few more chores to do before we go cookout.
