Almost down to ONE WEEK to go until our next Milestone Marker, the two-thirds point to this year's Christmas Season.

Days to the Season: 130
Days to Christmas Day: 172

In fact we will reach that next marker one week from tomorrow.
(Well, now!)


Heavy rain fell late yesterday afternoon, accompanied by some lightning and thunder. We were under a severe thunderstorm warning for a while but nothing developed.
Today has a lesser chance of weather problems and we are at 77 degrees here currently, with sun for the moment.


OK. Carl day. The Shispering Pines. Free fired twinkies (leftover red, white and blue frosted ones from Monday's Independence Day bash, no doubt) and sweet southern iced tea.
Be there -- or be square.

Good morning everyone!
I had a great 4th, a long 5th, and an early 6th. I hope you all are doing well also.

We started our Christmas shopping last week, which is easy to do when one of your children are buying their first house. Today I will work till 5:30, go to church, go look for a new black suit, go to the Pines, then try to get some things done around the house before bedtime. I'm already tired just thinking about all that.

Wow sounds like a non-stop day you have planned there. I love shopping for Christmas but first I have to finish shopping for my husband's birthday coming up in a couple of weeks. Try and find some time to relax today Rich and have a great one.

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day! Yup today definitely feels like a Tuesday but I'm glad it's Wednesday instead. Gotta love short weeks. The heat is finally coming. Not that it hasn't been warm but now we're going for hot weather with 90 degrees. Thank goodness for a/c. Just a fairly busy day at work is planned and I didn't bring lunch so I will have to figure out what I want to buy today.

Yesterday Mom's Amish lady Emma & her boyfriend painted our steps & a table out at the lake for us. Last night we took Mom, Emma & Levi out on the pontoon for a tour of the lake & out to eat. They loved it! It was too cute! I was so tired when we got home...early to bed! But then I didn't sleep good. Hate that! Ah well, maybe tonight I'll sleep better! More coffee for this morning!

Woke up early and took Loki out for a long walk in the park before it gets much too hot here. He's currently passed out on the floor next to me, poor thing. I'm looking online for frozen treat ideas for him. I'm already on my second load of laundry. Then I have a doctor's appointment and have a couple of errands to run. Hopefully by 2pm I'll be done and will be able to relax some. Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Good morning everyone.
Got up a little later than I wanted to this morning, but oh well. It is time to start painting and getting yard work done. My wife and I moved furniture around last night so she could paint today. I am about to head outside to deal with the yard. Unfortunately, it is going to be hot and humid today. And then it is going to rain this afternoon. It looks like I have until about 3:00 today.
Well, here I go... no seriously, I am going outside.... no really, I am... on my way....I mean it this time.... moving now.....
