I worked all weekend, yesterday was not that busy but sometimes that's even worse because the day seemed to drag on and on. A tiny 6-week old baby fell out of her carriage yesterday, we called the ambulance. She seemed fine, she was not even crying, except when the medics were taking care of her, she did not like that. Gave us quite a scare, poor little thing.

I have a day off today, taking care of loads of laundry, running errands, shopping, chores...in other words not a restful day. Such is life sometimes.

Yes, it's hard to believe we are already several days into the second half of July.

But speaking of contemplation, be sure to take time to contemplate this:
Days to the Season: 118
Days to Christmas Day: 160

Now, ponder the enormity of the fact that we are only EIGHTEEN days away from the 100-day Season Milestone and the commencement of a double-digit count to our long-awaited and much-coveted Christmas Season.
(That's barely over 2 1/2 weeks off!)


Well, Saturday evening's downpour is but a memory. No further rain fell yesterday and a quick drive past Crabtree did not show any appreciable damage, just lots of mud in the parking lot on the Crabree Creek side.
Today should be sunny with a relatively low chance of precipitiation.
Currently, we stand at 76.6 degrees here in central North Carolina.

It was a busy, HOT weekend here in south Georgia. Jacob's band played an acoustic gig in a coffee shop Friday night, so I was in my element. ;)

Saturday, my plan was to cut the grass. It was already pushing 90° at 10am, and I had to repair the mower before I could run it. Then I had to pick up broken limbs from the storm earlier. Whew! By the time I finished the yard, the sun and almost beaten me LOL.

That night, Jacob's band played a local craft brewery. They put on another awesome show, this time with electric guitars. I feel odd going there to see them. We don't drink, and they don't charge a cover, so we're just taking up space. They don't even sell Cokes!

And Camp Meeting started last night, so I was out there till late. It'll be all week long, so I'm trying to prepare myself for a week of poor sleep. But, Nancy & Elizabeth love it, so I'll deal with it.

Happy Monday!
Not too much going on here. My oldest texted me last night, she's having a nice time on vacation so far. My youngest is going to the Bronx zoo today with a group of friends. My middle one has off, she's going to keep me company. We're going to Chili's for lunch then we're going to run a few errands. Back home afterward to catch up with my daily chores. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Harlowe is doing pretty well. Hope Lokis is, too <3
She hasn't played with them much, yet. She probably will more when it cools down, and one of our yards is fenced in. But we've had some nice walks with them =)

I love Chili's! I miss their soup, salad, and chips 'n salsa lunch special. My girlfriend & I used to go their a few times a month for that.
Please have some chicken enchilada soup for me :p
