Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day once again! It has that September feel out this morning. It's just beautiful. But we are heading towards a heat wave later this week and through the weekend. Gonna enjoy the weather today for what it's worth. I have a lot of things to do at work today like usual so it should be a busy day. Hope you all are well and facing this mid-week positively.
Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Good evening,

Kind of sad tonight, my sister and her kids are heading back down to North Carolina in the morning, it was a great 12 days of her being around, but now we don't know when we will see her again. All the kids got along so great, they were already saying how much they will miss them. They are the only 1st cousins they have.
Day off tomorrow, but we will have major plans to announce in the next few days, just have to finalize things before I get greedy and make an announcement. I am so excited. (It is not a baby, just in case anyone thinks that.:D)
Goodnight, everyone

Until we get more info, that what I'm thinking! :D:p

Good Morning, Christmas Backers and Promoters.

Well, we have your back here and are not afraid to promote our always exciting count:
Days to the Season: 116
Days to Christmas Day: 158

And to further stimulate your senses, we present the also exciting fact that as of the DAY AFTER TOMORROW, we will be down to just TWO weeks to the 100-day Season Window, after which we will experience the beginning of our double-digit count sequence.
(So much to look forward to!)

The relentless heat and humidity goes on. Triple digit heat index figures are predicted to continue well into next week.
(Whoever invented air conditioning should get a medal!)
We have started off this morning at 75 degrees here in central North Carolina, as we await the daily H&H onslaught.

Well, let's forget our heat troubles by way of a dip in the Shispering Pines pool, followed with a tall glass of ice-cold sweet southern iced tea to wash down our complementary fired twinkie, supplied by the ever-friendly Carl and his crew of course.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, and we will see you at the 'Pines this evening!

If you are having even a brief respite from the heat, take full advantage of it!!

Good Pinesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It clouded up and rained for a bit yesterday afternoon, so it wasn't quite as hot at camp meeting. I've been going every day for lunch and supper. Last night we had pizza from Bernie's store, and boiled peanuts. Mmm, mmm!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Thanks Crown! See you at the Pines!

I know it is only Tuesday, but I just read they are saying 96 on Monday, of course the forecast will change four times by tomorrow afternoon. :D
Yesterday evening, weather-wise, was fabulous---70s (F) and lower humidity, with a breeze. I kept a few windows open overnight, and the temp in the house went down 7 degrees by this morning! But we're expecting 90s (F) later in the week, so I'm sure we'll gain all that heat back soon.

I'm on tenterhooks for the announcement of major plans! Sounds like they will be good news.

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day! Happy Hump Day!! It's going to be a hot one!! I hope Carl has some icy cold drinks waiting for us tonight!!
Have a great day everyone!

Good afternoon all. Today my oldest son, Nathan, has his new girlfriend over. She has been here a couple of times before today too. This is not his first girlfriend, but she is one of my students which is entertaining. She is a great young lady so I highly approve of them dating, but it is a little weird.
I think it is more awkward for her than for me. She is a little more quiet than normal when she is here. I am sure it is strange for her to see her history teacher just sitting around the house. :D
That's funny!! I can only imagine... :D :p

Enjoy a bit cooler day!! We are *only* supposed to hit 90º today but we only hit 87 yesterday & it felt much hotter! But it was comfortable outside last night. I guess we'll see what today brings. Have a good day!
