It's going to be warm and humid today, chance of showers & storms. Not too much planned, typical day of errands and chores. I'm going to take a ride to Target today, I have a list of things that we need. I'll be passing a HomeGoods on my way so I'm going to stop in and browse. Hoping I see some signs of Autumn in HomeGoods

Good Thursday Morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve! My body must be in vacation mode since I slept 9 hours straight (that almost never happens). I went to bed early and feared I'd wake up my usual time for work but instead woke up an hour and a half later. It felt good though. Now I'm making some pancakes and sausage for breakfast. Decided to take a break from the cereal routine now that I'm off. Anyway, I'm going to do some food shopping today and go visit Rollins. We should be getting some kind of update in the next day or 2.

Good morning and happy Friday Eve!

Is everyone having a good week or are you just hanging on till the weekend? Nothing to exciting to report in my neck of the woods. My daughter London is looking forward to the start of her 3rd Otakon convention that starts tomorrow and goes thru Sunday. This will be it's last year being held in Maryland and she wasn't going to attend this year but her friends begged her to go and so she's going to see it through. Next year it will be held in DC and I just don't really see her following it all the way there for three days. But I'm excited that she has something to mark the end of her summer with before she steps into college.

I hope everyone has a great day. I'll check in later for a mid day pick me up.

Happy Thursday all! Not to rub it in,,,,,,but today is my last day of work before a weeks vacation!! It's hot and humid as hades out there, but we're supposed to get some rain to relieve the situation today. I'm getting my annual Halloween playlist ready and preparing for the 'bers. If I'm unable to get a good wifi signal while away I hope you all are well and have a wonderful week ahead of you!

And in our pursuit of that Holiday Holy Grail, we pass many Milestones, the next one being a scant THREE days away.
That's less than half a week off!

Days to the Season: 94
Days to Christmas Day: 136

The marker in question? Well, it's the THREE-QUARTER point to Christmas Season 2016.
(Is time starting to slip away from us? I'm beginning to think so!)


Another warm but rain-free day here yesterday.
The grass needs mowing, but there is a trade off. Do I want cooler morning temps to mow in or do I want dry grass to avoid mower clogs? The morning grass is soaked and chokes the mower but the afternoon becomes hot as a furnace by the time the grass dries. Always a dilemma!
Today has started out already at 78 degrees here and I'll probably choose the clogged mover!

No signs of Halloween at the grocery store yet. On the plus side, I can pay this time!!! Now I'm off to stand in front of the freezer cases for awhile before I brave the walk to my car.

Lol!!! I do that same exact thing!!! I keep looking outside and expect to see the trees ignite today. It is absolutely nasty outside..(so over summer)

What a great harvest from the garden! What's planned? Tomato sauce? Jalapeno jelly?

Ooh, I haven't made pepper jelly for a long time. That's a great idea! I'll be making pizza sauce 1st. I love to make fresh salsa, as well as canned! (I need to check our supply of canned salsa from last year!) I'll also be making spaghetti sauce, & some plain ol canned tomato juice. I also like to quarter tomatoes & freeze them to throw in soups. Everything is pending how many tomatoes we get this year, but the plants are loaded with them right now! Hopefully they can withstand the drought!

Thanks Frosty! I feel like we met him months ago yet it's only been 11 days. The "wait" has felt long. If he gets a good update he can probably come home in the next couple of days. If not...well I will have to see what they say if it's not serious and they want to send him home with some simple medicine or if they want to reevaluate him again next week. And we sort of named him after this wrestler Seth Rollins. He's a trouble-maker, but entertaining.

The waiting is the worst! xx

Merry Friday Eve! Another dreary day here and we having pouring rain and a t-storm right now. It is so humid outside...it is like glue! Just work for me today and my oldest daughter is supposed to have a pick up soccer game but not sure on the weather....we'll see. Hope you all have a great day. I think I am going to make another cup of coffee and turn on some Christmas music..

I agree - I love fresh maters from the garden. We had BLT's for supper last night & corn on the cob from the garden. Yumm-o!

Good morning all you Santa lovers out there. Working on my second cup of coffee and have a table top fountain going for a little ambiance (that and a small pine tree lit up). Had a small T-Storm last night while I was at work, but hey the grass really needed the rain. Of course that will leave the upper mid-west hot and humid for today. Good thing I'll be sleeping though most of it. I truly hope you are all doing well.

Thank you, she seems to have had a good day yesterday! She ate well, and even played last night. She was restless overnight, but mostly because of the loud thunder and rains.
