Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good Thursday morning everyone! Wishing all of you a great Summer day!

I'm currently working on a template for an album I am putting together for our store's 10th anniversary in September. I want the 7 associates who have been there since day 1 to have a special booklet full of messages from their current and past colleagues and photos taken throughout the years. So I'm going through Facebook, trying to find old employees. Does anyone know if I send a message to someone whom I am not friends with on Facebook, do they receive it? I barely use Facebook, no clue how that goes. So that's my big project this morning, before going to work for an afternoon/evening shift. That and watching the Olympics.

That sounds amazing! Yes, you can send a message to someone you are not friends with. I have done that several times if I didn't have any other way of contact & they have replied! Good luck with your project!

Yes, it's true. Just SIX days from today, we will arrive at the 2/3 point to Christmas Day 2016 and enter the final third of that count.
Wow. This year has just raced by.
(And the 'Bers and Blossoms are just ahead!)


Like an annoying computer graphic loop, our hot and humid weather just keeps cycling around day after day with little to no let up.
More rain fell yesterday afternoon which didn't help much with the temperature and added to the humidity.
Today has commenced at 79 degrees here and we are hoping for perhaps a slight lessening of the oppressive conditions this afternoon.

Not too much going on here today. I already straightened up the house and started laundry. I have a couple of other chores to do around the house. My parents are coming home from their place in Pennsylvania this morning, I'm going to take a ride over this afternoon to visit them. That's about it for me.

Good Thursday Morning MMC! I'm a little off today. I came in to work 2 hours late and took care of Rollins this morning. He sneaks up on you quietly. Of course he wants to play and go outside and get attention. He doesn't seem to be that into food though. He eats if you give it to him but he often will eat a little then want to go get into some other trouble. Nitro was much more of an eater than Rollins so far. I didn't get to bed till 1 AM because he didn't want to go to sleep. I hope he starts realizing sleep is a necessary thing!

I love the stories already!!!! :):) I do hope he will start sleeping for you though. It always takes a few nights for them to get acclimated. Or at least it did with Buster & Gracie. He may start eating better/on a schedule in a few days too. So cute!

It's going to be an adaptation for both of you for sure. I hope he lets you get more sleep tonight. Now think when you get home after work, he'll be all excited to see you! That's the best part of having a dog I think, no matter how hard a day you may have, they always welcome you home with such unbridled joy. Have a good day Edge!

Yes I do miss him. He actually whined when I was leaving because he wanted to play more so I went in and played a few more minutes then slipped out quietly and I saw him go rest from the door. I just have to teach him that his leash is not to play tug of war with when I put it on him. When I walk him he lets me put it on and then wants to attack the leash.

Absolutely Martine. I know the day Nitro passed I actually posted that on May 19th basically what you just said. I thanked him for always being there every day I got home from work whether I had a great day or a bad one, whether I got a big raise or got fired, he was always gonna be there for me and love seeing me. Dogs are the best.

Awe ~ they make it so hard to leave!! He will be so excited to see you after work!!
I can just picture him attacking his leash! :D
