Well gang, it's quitting time! :D I'm heading to pick up Gracie's meds, & a quick stop at the store. I'll go home & mix up Jims favorite cake since I didn't get that made last weekend for his birthday. I'll bake & icing it at Moms tonight. Also going to throw ingredients in the crock pot for queso dip for tomorrow night. We are having appetizer night at the lake (and cake) to celebrate Jims birthday! I'm not sure what time I'll head over to Moms, but I'll be spending the night with her!
Have a wonderful evening!

When Gracie was a puppy we socialized her right away. Maybe a little too much! :p We brought her different places, like to moms, my sisters, friends houses. We also asked friends to stop over (bribed them with food & drinks...HA) so she would be use to people coming & going. My sister would pick her up when I was at work & take her home with her. She had a lot of company her first month or so with us! We got her on a Saturday & that Sunday we took her to a friends Daytona party. She was with 40'ish people & very very spoiled! She fell asleep on their heat register. HA! We also socialized her with other dogs as well. Good luck!
Thanks! Sounds like yeah getting them used to being around people early is key.

Considering that Menards in mainly in the Midwest, not really. Although I do find things at one Menards that doesn't make it to others. It's always interesting to see what new things they come up with and to see the familiar favorites.
It depends on how the stores are zoned and sometimes by their selling power. 1 Menards might sell a ton of PS4's and another 30 miles away doesnt sell many at all. So the bigger seller will be rated for more games and consoles. (Best example I know) Then other stores will just get dumped on because they are not in favor with the District managers..lol and its always non selling junk. Have 1 or 2 stores take the loss rather than every store in the district. (Old numbers game)

It was warm! Didn't bother her though! Lol! She can either get a new thermostat or just adjust accordingly!

Awe, I'm sure that's a sweet pic of Har! I want to get the pic of Gracie on our pontoon printed off to hang! I keep forgetting to do that!

Isn't that amazing how the nights just go...POOF...gone!
That's good!!

It is!! It's this one ❤️

The one with Gracie on the pontoon is priceless! <3

Truth!!

I just came in from having a late lunch under a tree in the courtyard of our campus. Felt so good to feel the effects of the sun without being scorched by it. Now I have roughly about two hours before my day ends. I can do this!!!

Hope everyone is having a great day.
Sounds like a lovely break~
Enjoy your evening!!

Hi gang. Sorry I've been away so long. Count downs are a little depressing to me when our son is home from college and I'm wanting time to slow down. We moved him back to college yesterday so I'm ready to start counting the days to Christmas again.
We've had a little excitement in our small town today. A gas station has a leak in one of its tanks and gas has gotten into a nearby stream. All of our restaurants, hotels, and our only daycare are closed until city water can be tested. Its a blow to a town that depends on tourism.
Hope everyone has a blessed day.
Great to see you, friend~
Thinking of you guys, I know how much you miss him.
Glad you're back to count down with us, though!
Prayers for your town and community.
Hope you have a blessed day, too.
Hope this makes you smile!

LOL! She will bark at the mail lady from the window if she's inside, but outside she just stares at her! Ours is delivered to a mailbox so she never gets out of her vehicle. Now the UPS man (no, not Jim)....Gracie waits for him & her tail goes 10000 MPH!! He will come up to pet her sometimes even if we don't have a package. And she jumps on him & tries to lick him to death.
So cute!!

Interesting. I wonder how I can make Rollins a little more open to people than Nitro was. Nitro was more like me I guess...he had very few people that were "his people" and everyone else well...he felt they were a danger to us. I want Rollins to be somewhat protective certainly but maybe at least a little more open to being friendly with strangers.

Thanks! Sounds like yeah getting them used to being around people early is key.
Yep, they taught us in school that the most critical weeks of a puppy's life for socialization are 7 weeks-16 weeks old. Of course it continues throughout their adolescence, and even some dogs in their adult life if they weren't shown the ropes when they were pups. Good luck!

Good morning HMG! Glad you had a GREAT time at the concert last night!
Hope your girls have a good time at Montauk Manor!
Enjoy the visit with your parents - have a great day!

Have a great day HMG! Let us know if it is haunted!

Enjoy the beautiful weather!
How fun for your daughter!! Hope she has a great time there, and a few innocent spooky moments too =]

xx

Thank you so much!
My daughter said nothing spooky has happened. I think it would be so much fun if something did :D

Ack! I am pages and pages behind, with no chance to catch up properly.

I pray everyone is doing well. It's been a little crazy here at work, and in the middle of this busy, busy day, I was called on the random drug screen. I had to ride with a few other guys from the plant to a doctor's office about 30 miles away. It took nearly 3 hours to do the three of us. Grrr.

Anyway, I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Morning everyone and a happy Friday eve. It's our wedding anniversary today so we've got a sitter so we can go to a restaurant tonight to celebrate. It'll seem strange being out on our own again. have a great day folks.
Happy Anniversary!!

Hey, happy to have you back!

I hope they get the testing and clean-up done quickly.

Take care!!

That is frustrating, Brad.
Hope you can make up some of the time you missed tomorrow.
Hope you have a great night!

Hope all is going well with Rollins! We adopted Leo when he was a year old and he was very under socialized. He spent most of his time in a crate. We did a puppy school and he also did a few sessions of doggie daycare. He loved it and it tired him out..lol We also brought him to the park to walk a lot so he would get used to all sorts of people/noises etc...even just taking him for rides to get out and about helped him so much.

He still had some quirks but 100x better than he was before! Hope you get some rest tonight!
