We have kicked off our Halloween season pretty much so continuing that today The weather and chill in the air over the weekend has put us all in the Halloween spirit. Watching Hotel Transylvania at the moment

Forgot to tell you guys. Selfridges in London have opened their Christmas Department!


I LOVE LOVE those candy canes!
Candy canes are one of my favourite decorations!

As I was lacing up my shoes to take Loki out for a walk, this is how he was looking at me, patiently waiting, already sitting waiting for his leash.

I have one like that a white one. The Shelty just looks at me from the corner of his eyes.

WOW! and in case you missed it... WOW! I know most people get a little upset when "Christmas" come to early, but I still love it.

Anyone ever notice how fast the mailman gets to your house so early before they have a long weekend?

I think for those of us who get a full holiday off, we probably all tend to watch the clock and sing that old tune... "Ain't nothing gonna break my stride".

Good morning early riser. I was kind of hoping to get a little yard work done and do some BBQ later. But, that will depend on the weather. Started raining around 1:25AM and still going on and off. Oh well, if it keeps up I suppose there is always shake and bake... lol

Happy Labor Day to all the MMC family. I had some trouble signing on yesterday, the old blue circle just kept spinning. It was the only site I had trouble accessing.
Today is starting out wet, but then we can use the moisture. If it continues through the day, I may get started on my coffee table display.
I was in a hurry to get the trash out early and then after the last bit was separated and placed in the proper bin it hit me...
They don't pick up on holidays! At least it is done
Here is my Labor Day salute to you all...

Good morning Festive and thank you for that picture. Selfridge looks like they have amazing decorations. We'll have to wait 'til late October/November for most stores to have set up their Christmas displays here.

One of those places on my "Christmas" bucket list is Bronners Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth, Wisconsin. It is said to be as large as three football fields. With rooms for the various decorating themes. Here are a couple of photos I obtained...

Merry Monday! Happy Labour Day to my American buddies.

I will be enjoying the day off with the kids before they resume school on Wednesday. My youngest will be starting school. This time last year I was so nervous about him starting nursery school and now here we are!!! Life is about to change as I know it.

Happy Labor Day, MMC!!!!! Here we go, the first of four holidays in 4 months. While some people fret that it's the unofficial end of summer, that pools will be closing, kids are back in school, and that all of our white clothes have to be packed away. We know the truth. The fun rolls on. It's time for Apple picking, campfires on chilly nights, tailgating, football games, leaf peeping, and of course pumpkin patches!! The most important thing about Labor day though? It's a sure sign that the season is close!! How close you ask? Well let's check out the count-

Days to the Season: 69
Days to Christmas Day: 111

Just 69 more days!!! How can you not love it? I mean it's a number that looks just as good inverted. And look at how many days are left to Christmas! We are so close to our next milestone, you can almost smell it!! Or maybe that's the blueberry muffins in the oven. I hope everybody has a GREAT Holiday!!! Watch the bbq sauce if you decide to get one more day in with those white shirts!! If you need me, I'll be over here emailing mother nature about that whole last day of summer thing.

Good Monday Morning MMC! Happy Labor Day! This day really marks the end of summer to me (even though it may get to 90 later in the week). But this is sort of a transition day. Most kids go back to school in the next day or 2. Most people go back to work and have only a few weekdays off all the way until Thanksgiving. The weather will start to turn soon from warm/hot days to more cooler/comfortable days. I'm going to give Rollins a bath today and have a bbq. Have some errands to do also but hopefully enough time to relax on this holiday.
