Day off for me today and I was able to negotiate a day off tomorrow as well (a day owed to me). It's actually my birthday today and hubby is spoiling me already. He's at work now, so I'm just relaxing with Loki.

Hey everybody! Sorry I have not been around the last several days. Life has just been busy, plus a few computer issues. Gotta love Windows 10!

Anyway, I thought I would stop by for minute and say hi.

I hope everyone is doing well. Here in Ohio we are still experiencing 90 degree days. YUCK! It looks like after today we will start to cool down. Next week should be mostly 70s finally.

Nice to see you ITP! It has been a warm week again! Whew! This morning included - starting off at a muggy, foggy 71º! By Sunday a high of 74 is predicted...but then back up to 80! I guess we'll get what we get!

It's almost quitting time. I have plans to go home make a quick dinner and go for a walk with my kids (including my fury one). Found a recipe for the church picnic thanks to Pinterst. Looks soooo yummy, it's called Anastasia's Best-Ever Baked Beans. So looking forward to this weekend!

I looked those up & saved the recipe. They do look good! You'll have to let us know how they turn out! I have a recipe saved on pinterest for smoked baked beans I would like to try sometime!

Not much to report here, just a relaxing day at home with the kittens. They are the most docile and loving kittens we have had, they just want to be around us.
Back to work tomorrow.

It's going to be another warm and humid day with temperatures in the upper 80's. I'm just having a cup of coffee, watching the news and working on a menu plan & grocery list. Not too much going on here today, typical day of errands and chores. I also need to take a ride to the animal hospital to pick up another round of antibiotics for Maggie. Thats about it. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

So excited for a few days off! I will FINALLY be decorating for fall tonight-I wanted to wait to do it with my husband and he'll have some time off as well. I look forward to that! So glad it's FRIDAY!!!

Doing okay, thanks. Hoping I can relax this evening. I'm likely to run into some more construction on the way home, but hopefully not as extensive as what I fought through this morning. Three commutes and one sleep before the weekend! (I'm counting Friday evening as part of the weekend!)

Totally agree Merry. I have always considered quitting time on Friday as the start of the weekend. Make our weekends last as long as possible!
I hope your commute home yesterday & your commute to work this morning were better than yesterday morning!

Thank you ... Mr. hasn't let on, but I know it's really affecting him, because he's attending the wake for the full four hours. I think he wants to connect with other of his former co-workers who knew John. Mr. had a hand in selecting John when he was hired, and they saw eye-to-eye on things and worked together well. John is the one they kept when they dumped Mr. a couple years ago. We don't know the cause of death, but the obit said it occurred at home, and he was in good health, so we assume it was some sort of accident.

Hoping the day went as well as it could possibly go for your hubby yesterday! xx Sending hugs & prayers!

Good afternoon folks. Hope you are having a good day. I am wiiiiiped out, so after running 3 miles tonight for half marathon training I am going to bed ASAP! Phew! The real pumpkins appeared overnight in the store by the way-lovely to see them this morning!!

Hope your run went well & you got a good nights sleep!
I noticed pumpkins & mums at our grocery yesterday too. The mums look healthy but none are blooming yet, so you can't see what color you're getting. I thought about picking up a couple & letting it be a SURPRISE....but decided to wait!

I was wondering what to have for a "solo supper," and you reminded me that I have some leftover spaghetti sauce in the fridge ... hm!

I made the turkey tenderloin per recommendation of @made582 for supper last night - I had the rotisserie style & it was delicious. While at the store I also picked up another one, cracked black pepper flavor!

Our local news station just said, everybody is looking for cooler weather but IT'S STILL SUMMER! LOL!!! It has been a warm September!

Good Morning, Weekend Eve'ers!

What a glorious time of the week. Standing on the threshhold of yet another weekend oasis.

This is glorious, too:
Days to the Season: 65
Days to Christmas Day: 107

And glories of glories, we now find ourselves precisely (and I do mean precisely) ONE WEEK AWAY from the 100-day Christmas Day Window and the beginning of a double double-digit count.
(Glorious, indeed!)


The heat returned yesterday and will be with us for another day before more moderate conditions begin to prevail starting tomorrow and continue to trend cooler into the middle of next week.
(Perhaps even a taste of Fall!)
We are right now settled in at 75 sunny degrees here in the capital city.

I can believe he's a loud barker. Hubby often remarks how loud and low Loki's bark is for his small size. Puppies are always so full of energy, they never stop, so you're in for months of Rollins tiring you out...

I guess it depends on the type of dog too. To be honest I think Nitro was pretty energetic till he turned 10 lol. Then he started to slow down a little but still wanted to play sometimes.
