Happy Pines my friends!!
I have a busy day ahead. Working and my oldest daughter has her first high school soccer game at 3:45 so I am picking up my younger daughter and going to the game. Then my youngest is starting dance tonight from 6-7...she is taking a lyrical class. I am not really sure what that entails but it appears to be a "flowy" type and not too structured like ballet so I am sure she will enjoy it. lol
I did not sleep well last night so I am sure caffeine will be my friend today.

It really was (almost 85º) That is what was predicted but the highest I saw was 83º. Today we are supposed to have a high of 77 but it's cloudy/spitting rain.
High of 64º sounds so chilly!

It was chilly and damp, but I loved it! Fingers crossed these temps stick around for a bit before turning more winter-like. Love winter, but 6+ months is plenty.
Love the 70's, too. Enjoy yours! Stay dry & cozy!

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day! Going to warm up into the mid 80s today with humidity. Is summer back? At least for 1 day it is. But once again the sun is out and it's another gorgeous September morning. Rollins was extra peppy this morning. I'm going to get some pizza for lunch. Other than that just hoping everyone has a good day today. Enjoy these September days before the holiday months start to hit (starting in October for us Halloween fanatics).

Just ended my first of five at Wally World. The one thing about working nights is that it never changes, no matter the season. Put out the new freight. At least it is more consistent than many of those working days. Ah well... 3 years, 6 months and 14 days to go.

Merry Morning!

The thunderstorm cleared overnight. Wow what a spectacle it was. We are still holding on to warm temps in the upper 60s with a couple thunderstorms expected later.

I think I am coming down with a cold or it might be hayfever. Not feeling 100% but I'm okay.

Good morning .. I am a member of a few Facebook yard sale sites in my area and over the weekend a local person posted a whole tote full of Christmas decor for sale. Well of course I just had to buy these as I had a couple similar as a a child. I can not wait for Christmas now

never tried this brand before but it is not to bad. Still like Higgens&Burke and Celestial seasoning the best.

Don't start work till 10:30 so get to twiddle my thumbs till then as I have learned that I only have so much energy in a day and if I want to make it through the work day I need to relax till I leave. A very difficult thing for me to do as I am a morning person and like to do most of my work by 10 am.

Good Morning, MMC!!! It's going to be a humid day here with some rain around this afternoon. I still have the rental car until tomorrow evening so I plan on doing some more running around today. Yesterday we ran back over to the Ohio border to a Amish grocery store. There were a few things we didn't get in PA that they carry. Today I'm going to stay closer to home and just head to the south side of Indy. There's a few discount stores that I keep seeing ads for that I want to check out. I also need to go to the grocery. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!

Rack up the miles made582. I drive so little any more. Just no place I want to go I suppose and since I work at Wal-Mart, I do my shopping before I leave or stop at the local Hy-Vee on the way home. I think I had less than 3500 miles for all of 2015.

Good Wednesday morning everyone! I drove my husband to work this morning, it was dark still, a preview of Winter to come. I'm working the afternoon/evening shift and training new hires, so I'll likely go into work early to get some of my own work done beforehand. I have a quiche in the oven for supper and am preparing a document for work, but I'm taking a small break at the moment. Have a great day everyone!

I am really disliking the darkness in the morning, makes it tough to get out of bed! But I really dislike the early darkness in the evening the most. Ah well...it's coming - might as well cozy up!

Well the stress that has consumed me for the last 2 months is over, if you remember I had said a while back I had a major announcement to make. The time is now.
We have finally booked our family trip to Disney World!
I have spent hours upon hours going over every little detail of this trip for nearly 3 months now. I wasn't doing it only for the 4 of us, but my in laws too. Making sure I had everything lined up for 8 people. There are a few more loose ends to tie up, tickets to Universal and rental car, but basically it is just a matter of a few clicks on the computer now. It is such a huge relief to finally have this done. I honestly never thought it was going to be as stressful as it was.

My how a forecast can change in a day. Yesterday there was 1 day in the 15 day forecast we were supposed to hit 80º or above. Today there are SEVEN days of 80's! LOL! Ah well, soon I'll be shivering, so I'll take um!

No shivering here until after the temp dips below 32. I still am in a T-shirt in the 40's. Nothing like a few years where the military stations you in the "freezer zone" to build up a resistance.

It's going to be a nice day, sunny with a high of 82. I'm heading out in a few minutes, I have to pick up a couple of things at Target. Back home afterward to work on my daily chores. I think I'm going to attempt to take down my Autumn decorations myself, hopefully I won't drop anything! If any of the girls are around I'll get them to help me. That's about it.

We are at 70 degrees here right now in the capital city.


Alrighty! Carl is ready and waiting at the Shispering Pines with fresh-brewed iced tea, fresh piping hot fired twinkies.......and fresh beverage blends for any visitor willing to take a chance.

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

I worked on my evening business until dark, and I was never more ready to be out of the humidity and dry. What a yucky couple of days we've had so far. Blech.

Nancy worked late, too. She's an accountant in her sister's CPA firm, and September 15 is some kind of deadline. It seems like the 15th of every month is some kind of tax deadline. I say the government needs to get a job, and stop stealing all our hard-earned money!!

Happy Pines Day!

I just got out of one of the most boring meetings I've been to in forever! Most of it had nothing to do with me and my position and I swear there were more of my coworkers either zoned out or on their phones snatching up Groupon deals then were actively paying attention. I had no other choice but to pay attention due to no signal on my phone.

In other news...London's first day with her new job went great. She was one of 4 new girls starting yesterday and the only one dressed professionally. She was already working the register and helping people on the floor. Since she works in a huge outlet mall this particular Victoria's is very big and has lots of opportunities for theft. She has to watch folks who not only work alone but as couples and in large groups. She has to watch for ppl who try things on while not being fully dressed and such which now gives me the hebegebee's for when I shop there. She told me there were a lot of non English speaking people in the mall and even though that is the mall we do a lot of shopping at that up until now she's never noticed how many there were. But overall she said the day went well. She has to work again today after her classes. I told her 'welcome to the world of a young person working their way thru college'. However she's lucky in the sense that her entire freshman year is paid for with no student loans so all of her money will just go to her personal living expenses.

Tonight is Lizzybeth's first Master's Club at church and she's very excited as well as the other kids at church for a new season of MC to begin. I was up last night sewing on the badges she earned at the Master Club end of the year banquet this past May. Yep, I'm the definition of a procrastinating parent. LOL

Hello MMC...hope everyone is doing well! I am sorry I am not here as often as I'd like. Next week I'll be starting my full time job after over a year of parental leave and I can't imagine how more busy I will be.

Here the weather is still nice and sunny although not as warm as it used to be at night. Hope to go to the beach and swim a bit for the last time this Summer tomorrow.
