I am really disliking the darkness in the morning, makes it tough to get out of bed! ;) But I really dislike the early darkness in the evening the most. Ah well...it's coming - might as well cozy up!
What kind of quiche did you make? I love quiche! Have a great day!
I already miss the sunlight in the evenings. I'm a morning person so waking up to darkness is not a problem for me. The quiche I made has a crust made of bread cubes and butter, and the filling has eggs, cream, ricotta, caramelized onions, cherry tomatoes and fresh herbs. Have a great day as well Holiday!

To any of you I may have missed... A Very Good Morning! Things here are rolling along as usual. Nothing really exciting, but then no complaints either and I can live with that.
I put some battery operated light on a couple of pine trees my wife got from Hobby Lobby. They have a timer, so that helps save the battery life. Then add a few miniature ornaments plus some snowbirds and... Christmas is comig to life in the dining room area.
Getting closer to those double digits. Have a wonderful and safe day!

Sounds beautiful! Enjoy the lights & the trees!

That first real "chill" always hits me...yet in January if we reach the 40s we'll feel like it's not bad at all!
Funny how it works that way!

Oh yikes. That's chilly for a t-shirt! You must be resistant! My brother/niece/nephews are like that. They walk back & forth to Moms house with bare feet, shorts & t-shirt in the snow all the time. Crazy! :p
What can I say Holiday. It actually surprised me at first, growing up in the Los Angeles area. But when I was walking around B-52s in the minus 40 and colder time periods, we were told that you won't be warm, just try to stay "comfortably cool". ;)
Have a fun morning Holiday.

Wow - that sounds amazing!! I always get the spinach, tomato, onion, feta quiche when we go to the coffee shop. Yum!
Enjoy your day...and the quiche!

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!!! I hope everyone's day is off to a good start!!!

My how a forecast can change in a day. Yesterday there was 1 day in the 15 day forecast we were supposed to hit 80º or above. Today there are SEVEN days of 80's! LOL! Ah well, soon I'll be shivering, so I'll take um!

Everyone, have a fabulous day!!!

Yeah, it's going to warm up here, too. I can take low 90's, but not those upper 90's!

Just a question that passed through my mind. Do any of you ever get a little emotional when certain Christmas Carols are played and you listen to them quietly and very intently?

Good morning ~
Happy Pines Day!
It's going to be a nice day, sunny with a high of 82. I'm heading out in a few minutes, I have to pick up a couple of things at Target. Back home afterward to work on my daily chores. I think I'm going to attempt to take down my Autumn decorations myself, hopefully I won't drop anything! If any of the girls are around I'll get them to help me. That's about it.
Hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day ♥
Be careful moving those boxes around, and enjoy decorating!

Hello MMC...hope everyone is doing well! I am sorry I am not here as often as I'd like. Next week I'll be starting my full time job after over a year of parental leave and I can't imagine how more busy I will be.

Here the weather is still nice and sunny although not as warm as it used to be at night. Hope to go to the beach and swim a bit for the last time this Summer tomorrow.
Hi KG
Best of luck returning to work. (((hugs))) Hope you guys settle into a new routine and things with work goes smoothly.

Happy Pines Day!

I just got out of one of the most boring meetings I've been to in forever! Most of it had nothing to do with me and my position and I swear there were more of my coworkers either zoned out or on their phones snatching up Groupon deals then were actively paying attention. I had no other choice but to pay attention due to no signal on my phone.

In other news...London's first day with her new job went great. She was one of 4 new girls starting yesterday and the only one dressed professionally. She was already working the register and helping people on the floor. Since she works in a huge outlet mall this particular Victoria's is very big and has lots of opportunities for theft. She has to watch folks who not only work alone but as couples and in large groups. She has to watch for ppl who try things on while not being fully dressed and such which now gives me the hebegebee's for when I shop there. She told me there were a lot of non English speaking people in the mall and even though that is the mall we do a lot of shopping at that up until now she's never noticed how many there were. But overall she said the day went well. She has to work again today after her classes. I told her 'welcome to the world of a young person working their way thru college'. However she's lucky in the sense that her entire freshman year is paid for with no student loans so all of her money will just go to her personal living expenses.

Tonight is Lizzybeth's first Master's Club at church and she's very excited as well as the other kids at church for a new season of MC to begin. I was up last night sewing on the badges she earned at the Master Club end of the year banquet this past May. Yep, I'm the definition of a procrastinating parent. LOL

Have a wonderful Wednesday and I'll see you at the Pines!

Stay blessed.

I'm glad things are going well for you and your girls, LBK! It's such a shame that we have to be on guard for shoplifters so much. I can't imagine enjoying something that I'd stolen. o_O

I agree - I'm hoping we don't see anymore 90's this year. We shouldn't! Stay cool Brad!

We had a snowy Halloween a few years ago. We usually get some flurries at least in October somewhere.
