Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good Monday Morning MMC! This week we will transition from summer to autumn. But the temps/weather will feel more like summer than autumn at least through the week. The weekend shows low 70s on Saturday and upper 60s on Sunday for highs! That would be much more autumnal. Hope that forecast sticks and it's a beautiful one but since it's only Monday it's too early to think about the weekend (right Holiday). Therefore, I'm going to get busy at work and do my thing.

Happy 100 Day Mark!!!! Well I have a little chuckle for you guys .... DH and I were in Walmart last night when he calls my name and says look up. Just then a stock guy was walking by pulling a pallet full of Halloween and Christmas Goodies. I didn't realize I said YAY out loud and very excitedly cause then next thing I know the stock guy and older lady who stocking the shelves near by started laughing.

Display shelves filled with holiday baking supplies and holiday coffee creamers in the cold cases are sure signs that the holidays are fast approaching ... So Love this time of the year!!!!

LOL! Love it!!

 

[Holiday]

Yeah, the day is going good. I picked up Lulu at lunch so she could ride to the bank with me. She's learned that the drive-thru window keeps dog biscuits, so she's hanging out the window, hamming it up.

But she got her biscuit!

Awe Lulu!! I love it!
One of the carry outs here gives Gracie a dog biscuit when we go through. When they hand me my change, she stretches her neck over, thinking it's her dog biscuit. LOL No patience!!

Merry Monday!

Please keep Harlowe in your prayers, fingers crossed they can get her in quickly today. She is in a lot of discomfort and just keeps running around with her head held low, tail under her legs, weaving in & out of our legs. She just won't sit still, can't seem to get comfortable. Breaks my heart. I really wish her vet was in today. Hopefully another one she has seen has an opening.

Awe Lulu!! I love it!

Dogs think everything is for them though don't they? Case in point I left a cup I was drinking from on the floor (big mistake) and Rollins came over and started drinking from it uninvited on the weekend!

Happy Saturday! It our last day on vacation which makes me sad that Summer is over but excited because that means Christmas is that much closer! We are just relaxing now and will be headed to a BBQ with a family we know up here and then head home later on tonight. I hope everyone has a great day!

Just sharing my proud moment today...first 7 miler ever! 8 a week from today!! Working up to 13.1. It's like counting down...but backwards!

Good morning everyone, Happy Monday!
I'm just having my coffee and watching the local news. My husband and my oldest are off to work. I'm about to start another round of breakfast for my two youngest, they have classes today. We've had some heavy downpours on and off this morning, it's supposed to continue through out the day. I wanted to decorate outside but that might have to wait. I'm going to take a ride to Target at some point, other than that I'll be working on my daily chores. I'm going to make a pot of Italian Wedding Soup for dinner. I also picked up burgers at my butcher in case someone isn't in the mood for soup. That's about it for me. Oh I put out a dish of candy corn this weekend and I can't stop eating it!

It's Monday MMC!!! And a good Monday Morning to ya!

I trust everyone had a great weekend. I enjoyed mine - productive and relaxing. Had brunch with a friend from church on Saturday and that was nice. She's been having a rough go with her new job but I think with some more time she'll get into the swing of things and she'll be fine. It can be so hard adjusting to new surroundings that even if what you do (she's a physical therapist) doesn't change certainly each practice/office operates differently and you have to learn how they do things. She wanted to quit our choir because as choir members we're expected to be at all church services and rehearsals to be a current member and she has been hit or miss at Wednesday & Sunday evening services. So I convinced her to take a step back and rejoin when she was ready.

Sunday was spent in church for most of the day and evening. After evening service we had a potluck farewell get together for a family who's moving to upstate NY. I made a pumpkin cheesecake which was a hit, so I'm glad about that. Once we got home London and I watched the Emmy's. We had a good laugh about how so many of the TV shows that are on either we didn't realize they were still actually on the air or that we've never seen. So when a show we were familiar with was nominated we cheered them on. Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Blackish, Modern Family and such. We of course had lots to say about what everybody was wearing and who looked great and who looked well....

On Wednesday I was picked to sing in a small ensemble at church this coming Sunday and I was so giddy you could have told me I won a million dollars and I couldn't have cared less. It's my first time being apart of one of the small ensembles and I always wonder what you had to do or who you had to "know" in the choir to get picked. Well, I was finally chosen and I think the song we're singing will showcase my abilities quite well. And it's on my birthday nonetheless!!! It's like my personal gift from above. I'll have to let you guys know how it goes.

I cant even imagine Brussel sprout soda!!! I might try the others but....pheeww! I am sure it was just a marketing gimmick..quick sell due to it being a novelty.
I had a case of those cheeseburgers in a can a friend sent me. Lol..they were so nasty!

It's a rainy day here, but that's kind of nice for a change. The area where I live is in a severe drought; it may be months before we're out of it. The office where I work is on the fourth (top) floor of a 100+-year-old clock factory (modernized, but with the brick walls left exposed---it has a lot of character), so I can see and hear the rain. Once everyone gets in the office, it won't be so cozy, though! Have a great Monday!

You have something on the ball as a singer, or you wouldn't have been selected for an ensemble! I'm glad it's a song you're comfortable with and enjoy singing.

Sometimes I enjoy singing in the car, and sometimes it's too disappointing! I never learned the "proper" way to sing, breath control and all that, and I'm even worse after I had a four-week bout of laryngitis this summer (first time in my life). Certain notes just don't show up when I call them! When I start playing more Christmas songs in the car, though, I'll be singing my head off anyway!

Good Monday morning MMC! I have the day off and have errands to run and some chores to do around the house. It's still humid and warm enough that we had to turn on the AC last night. Loki got a little cold I think and was cuddling up to us all night. Have the best Monday everyone!

The humidity was back up again yesterday and it was not as comfortable as I had hoped it would be.
Rain is possible for the next couple of days and we stand at 76 rather cloudy degrees here currently in the capital city.

It's Monday MMC!!! And a good Monday Morning to ya!
