Friends, what a beautiful week it has been. Currently, we sit at 52 degrees and I sit on the deck drinking coffee. I love hoodie weather. Can't beat it.

Going to be a great day today! I'm in the process of getting all of the lights down and checking bulbs, making some fixes to outside decorations, and things like that. In two weeks, I will put the lights up on the house. Always like to get it done before Halloween...things usually start to get wet or cold here during November. There are tons of little signs popping up! We have the first 'Ber down and now we are into the one where the celebrations start. We are debating on what to be for halloween. Doc says they need to be "Thing 1" and "Thing 2", but I don't know about that....do yall have any suggestions for how to dress up 1 and 3 year old for Halloween? I could use some suggestions!

Anyone bought their first Christmas gift, yet? I actually have bought 3! Got the wifey a shirt the other day....it was a cute little shirt that said Mommin' ain't easy....

Alright...I wanna go check out the rest of the boards and then I need to go buy groceries. See yall later!

Just finished a five mile run and am looking forward to a cozy day at home watching football and decorating for Halloween! We don't do much-just little things-but they're lovely! Time to light up the pumpkin spice candle and relax!

@CGYager I am sorry to hear things are challenging at the moment. I know too well about the car repairs. Last winter we were plagued with costly car repairs one after the next. So sory to hear about your family's health as well. I will be praying for positive outcome for all of you. I am glad you have such a positive attitude about everything and striving forward. We've kept in touch over the years. We try to get together once or twice a year. Wish it could be more but the busyness of life seems to get in the way. Hard to believe we graduated 30 years ago, the years go by too fast.

Good Morning, Folks.

Back in the saddle again after a productive trip to the cottage where everything is ship-shape after another rental season.

The first order of business is to thank our tandem volunteers, Edge and NcGunny, for keeping the count moving along in my absence.

The second order of business is to recover from the shock at how far along our count has moved and just how close we are to the LAST Milestone before the commencement of Christmas Season 2016 on November 13.

Days to the Season: 43
Days to Christmas Day: 85

And the REAL shock is that we are down to a scant SIX days until the beginning of the HOME STRETCH to the Season (the 90 percent point).
That's LESS THAN ONE, LONE, SINGLE WEEK, Guys!


Real nice weather at the coast with a brief storm late Thursday morning after I had already completed all of my outside work.
More rain back here at home today but nothing severe despite the issuance of two severe weather warnings this afternoon.
We have a current temperature reading of 72 degrees here in the capital city.


Have a Sensational Saturday, Everyone.

I finally feel like it's fall here-we had quite the warm September! The leaves are barely even changed. Looking forward to a great October-we're pulling all the Halloween specific decor out today!

It changed so fast here in late September from warm/humid to downright chilly.
