Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day! 50 days from today is Thanksgiving in the U.S. That blows my mind. It's a beautiful day out here (finally). Looks like we are in for some beautiful weather the rest of the week. Might get some rain on the weekend unfortunately. But it looks like that hurricane is going to affect the southeast mostly and then hopefully head out to sea.

Morning Edge. Don't you just love the two-digit midget time frame? I love Thanksgiving. First biscuits and gravy w/eggs, then football, then preparation for the big meal, then football and finally consuming dinner, dying on the couch and of course... football. So between the Vikings/Lions, Cowboys/Redskins and the Steelers/Colts, which do look forward to the most (currently).

Thank you all! It's hard to imagine there is anything wrong. She's so happy & crazy! I'm taking her in Friday morning at 8am. We could have waited til next week but I didn't want to have to worry about having to take her next week, all weekend. Makes me nervous!
I really appreciate all the thoughts & prayers for my sweet girl!

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

It looks like that crazy hurricane is going to get pretty close to us, so I'll have to spend this evening putting away patio furniture and getting the grass cut. If we get that wet, it'll be days before the yard dries enough for cutting, given our humidity. And my yard already looks like a tropical rain forest.

Good Morning Bradmac. Here's hoping that the storm will make a quicker turn away from you. A rain forest huh? I planted some watermelons last year and the vines choked out some of the grass, so it resembles a half harvested field... lol

There are 2 different bus trips to NYC from my town that day, just weighing the pros and cons of each. I talked to my boss today about possibly getting that day off, and it looks good as of now. It is so hard to get a Saturday off in December before Christmas.

I hope he/she realizes that you've earned it as a loyal and hard worker.
I think an organization in our town has a day trip by bus to New York on a Saturday. Maybe Mr. and I will do that one of these years! Even roaming the streets for a few hours to look at the store windows would be fun. Or the show at Radio City Music Hall. Along with the tree at Rockefeller Center, of course!

Neighbor just brought me over a quart of eggnog he found this morning at the store. I didnt have the heart to tell him I dont like Nog. He was acting like a kid that just got a free bag of candy..lol

A busy first day back to work after my extended weekend. I had a lot to do, and for awhile I didn't think it was going to get done. I just plugged along and got it done.
Merlin had a good day today, I didn't find any surprises around the house.
My cat Alex, whom I was worried about when we got the kittens, has really taken to kitten Quinn, they are inseparable. He doesn't really care for the other 2, but he loves Quinn. They nap together all the time, Alex cleans him. He is Alex's kitten.
Back to work early tomorrow.

It's going to be a beautiful day, sunny with a high of 70 degrees. Woke up feeling pretty tired and headachey this morning. There's not too much going on so I'll probably be able to take it easy. I just have to work on the laundry and I'll take Maggie for a couple of short walks. I may start working on my Thanksgiving and Christmas menu plan as well. That's about it.

Thank you! I go to have the wound checked out today on the way to work and then stitches out in a week. It doesn't look as bad as it did but I plan on keeping it splinted and fully covered until the stitches are out

Leo seems to be doing a bit better...he is having more energy and is starting to up and down the stairs more. So maybe it was a strained muscle. I will continue to keep an eye on him. Hope you all have a great day!
