Wow, it's been a long night! The power has been on most of the night, thankfully, but the landline phone has been out all night. We use DSL for internet access, so the kids couldn't play their games, bless their hearts. LOL

It's still dark, so I can't assess the damage yet, but the wind is still howling. More larger.

It has been a long while since I went through any serious weather. An ice storm here is SD did it's share back in 2012. Nice to know in this "internet" age that phone loss does not necessarily mean total loss of communications. Is it still storming or just blowing? I pray the damage will be mild, but first and foremost am happy that everyone is safe.
Hope your weekend gets better with each passing day.

Good morning all my Christmas loving friends !

Saturday already. The thanksgiving weekend has started. I have to work until 4:15 today and know it will be crazy in the store as everyone prepares for family get together's. We get 2 feasts this year, one on Sunday and one on Monday.
yum !!!

It has been almost summer like temps all last week , so nice. I see it rained last night so it has cooled to more fall like weather again. The leaves are becoming more colourful everyday and it looks beautiful. Will post some pictures later.

New Saturday plans:
Just checked with my Better Half and she is still a bit under the weather. I agree that wandering around the zoo with temps in the mid-50's to mid-60's with a touch of a cold, is not the best idea. Of course she said I could go and join the other volunteers without her, but I'm sure my time would be better spent here. The Zoo is not going anywhere.
So... a little work, catching up on some recorded TV shows that we both like and a nice dinner sounds like the new plans for Saturday.
By the way, anybody old enough to remember this Saturday morning Line-up?

Good morning Festive. Thank you for your interest. Like you I did rise a bit earlier than I had planned, but I also slept longer on Friday as well, so I guess they balance out.
Pleased to hear about the improvements in his health. My daughter had a mixture of good and bad. At first they thought she might have a blood clot, this was not the case thankfully. However, she appears to be type 2 diabetic. Apparently something she got passed down through her genetics from her father's side. Guess i should point out that I would be her step-dad, but from the way her real father treated her over the years, she has come to think of me as her "actual" father.
Anyway, she has to see a dietician concerning how her food intake needs to change and I guess she now has to take a pill, fortunately she is not on insulin shots. I will wake Connie in an hour or so to see if she is better. If not, we will relax most of this day and I will get a few chores done.
Enjoy your quiet time, your cozy afternoon and your movie.

Though of you guys this morning as I watched the news. Glad to hear from you and relieved that you guys made it through. Hope that the worse is over and the damage isn't to severe. Take care.

Good Saturday Morning MMC! Another awesome October weekend. It's beautiful out again. I feel like it's been cooler than the long-range forecasters were saying it would be a month ago. But it's still nice out and feels like fall which is good since it is. Hope everyone is safe from that hurricane. Scary stuff. Having my donuts with Rollins and then heading out to do a bunch of errands. I'm glad it's Saturday!

My eldest is improving a lot thankfully. Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers.

Taking it easy today. Apart from a couple quick errands, it should be a quiet cosy day of seasonal shows and films including You've Got Mail
