Good Morning, Home Stretchers!

Indeed.
In case you were not here yesterday morning, we entered the HOME STRETCH NINETY PERCENT MARKER to Christmas Season 2016, which means it is all downhill from here to the start of the Season with NO more Milestones standing between us and the Season commencement on Nov 13!

Days to the Season: 36 (The 1 month mark - just FIVE days off!)
Days to Christmas Day: 78 (Eleven weeks from tomorrow!)

The hurricane continues its relentless march up the east coast. The National Hurricane Center now expects it to turn out to the east a bit later than originally predicted, which will take it closer to our cottage. Tropical storm warnings have been issued for most of the North Carolina coast.
(We will keep a watchful eye. At least it has weakened to a Category 1 storm.)
Rain is on tap for all day today and possibly tomorrow owing to the close proximity of the storm.
We have 69 degrees here right now with rain falling as I type.

Tell you what, though. I plan to have a Sensational Saturday, regardless of the weather.
How about you?
Thanks Crown! It's unbelievable that the next milestone is the start of the Christmas Season!!

Well I ended up back at the fall festival this morning. I still didn't buy myself anything but I got Ella a Halloween outfit that she promptly destroyed and a Christmas dress that she tried to get off but couldn't.

Merry Morning,
Happy Weekend!
I woke up earlier than I should for a saturday morning but I like having the longer day.
My eldest is improving a lot thankfully. Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers.

Taking it easy today. Apart from a couple quick errands, it should be a quiet cosy day of seasonal shows and films including You've Got Mail :)

Have a great weekend all!

That movie always chokes me up at the end!

Good evening Brent. Bringing illumination to young minds? Very noble of you and I'm sure fortunate for each of them. Always nice to end the day with a good meal and even better company. Never to early to get excited over Christmas (as those hearing me sing Christmas songs at work will tell you). I hope the rest of your Friday went well and enjoy this 3 day weekend.

I try to bring illumination. They're good kids and listen fairly well to me, so I am lucky. Thanks, CGY! I'm really looking forward to hearing some Christmas songs. I hear a few students breaking them out from time to time. I'm sure it will increase shortly after Halloween.

Great that everything has been weakened to a Tropical Storm, Crown. No more milestones between now and the Christmas Season? You'd think the last of milestone will make our drive to the Christmas Season, but as we have experienced in previous years, it seems to only speed up the process!

Even if it's only a category one, I hope everyone still stays safe!

!!!
O my goodness! When did you get Ella?!
She looks adorable!!!

She's my nieces. They got her 10 weeks ago. She comes to visit often though and we stop out and see her anytime we are out that way.

Here she is in the bows that my nieces got her. They stayed on about a minute after she was let down-

Good afternoon, everyone!

Kim, her mom, sister, SIL, and two best friends are off searching for her wedding dress. I actually received a text a few minutes ago and apparently she has already found her dress. Isn't that amazing? Apparently, now, I just have to wait about 340 days to see it.

As for me, I am hanging out at Kim's mom's house. I was hoping it would be nice day so that I could go out for a nice long run. Instead, it's been raining all day, and I am stuck inside. Hopefully it stops soon... I really need to do some exercise. At least I am currently enjoying my revisitation of Season 6 of Scrubs for about the 10th time. I must say, it still hasn't lost its hilarity or emotion. Every time I watch, it's just like the first time. Easily my favourite show of all-time.

Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday!

The wind has really picked up. Heavy rain and street flooding occurring. Flash flood and high wind warnings out for all of the eastern half of NC.
Our power is still on for now but branches down in the yard.
We are in for a rough next few hours until this system lifts off to the east!

Stay safe. I hope it isn't as bad as it looks like it may be.
