Yes, our mid-week treat day is here once again and, as always, Carl is ready for us. Now that Fall has arrived, so have the seasonal trappings at the 'Pines.
A plethora of earth-tone decorations. And pumpkins. Lots of pumpkins!
(There is even a rumor floating about a new pumpkin-coffee blend being tried out.)
Please come this evening to start getting yourselves in the early holiday mood!


Days to Halloween: 19 (UNDER the 20 mark, now!)
Days to the Season: 32 (One month from TOMORROW!)
Days to Christmas Day: 74 (Barely over 10 1/2 weeks left!)
Moving right along, Folks. Moving right along!


Chilly weather continues but not overly so. And plenty of sun with no rain. Pretty good really, for mid October.
We have started out this fine Autumn morning at 53 degrees here in the capital city.

I've been working away, trying to get things cleaned up, and trying to keep my part-time business customer happy. I need a vacation!

The weather is beautiful! It was 55°F this morning, and clear skies. I'm loving it!

Monday my daughter was sick, so I stayed home with her. I made homemade bread to go along with dinner. Long story short, I left the kitchen to answer the door and came back to find no bread on the counter. All I had to do was follow the crumb trail and it led straight to this girl...

I think the key is starting to dress them up early and Rollins will be used to it.
Leo is hit or miss...sometimes he will let us put his sweater on and other times forget it...lol
My boxer, Andre you can do whatever you want to that dog and he just sits there.


Thanks Martine....no idea what caused it. The Dr said it was definitely some type of allergic reaction but she has not eaten anything new, or new soap/laundry detergent.

My oldest is so much better today...unbelievable how one dose of medication can make a difference. We went to the orthodontist this morning and her braces are coming off on 11/7. She is so excited!
Just work for me today, then my oldest daughter has a soccer game and my youngest has dance at 6 so we will be running around...lol

Greetings to the worldwide MMC family. The four days off were great, now I can't wait until 66 and part-time... lol.
First night back went well, but since I usually do not sleep long before that first night, I think it is time for me to accumulate some "Z" time. That and the fact of my stomach hurting from laughing at the "Kill Me" dog pic. Sometimes things just strike you right and the laughter never seems to stop.
I pray everyone is doing well and that this mid-week point will lead to a wonderful and restful weekend. Hopefully I'll check back in tonight. have fun all.

It's been a busy morning here - the vet just called with Gracie's results. It does show she has bacteria in her urine, so they are going to treat her for worst case scenario which would be a kidney infection. She will be on an antibiotic 2x a day for 3 weeks, & then they will re-culture. After that she will continue on the antibiotic for 3 months & they will re-culture & re-test her creatinine level. This antibiotic can cause an upset stomach so we have to keep an eye on her & if we notice anything, there are other options/types of antibiotics for her, but this one is the least expensive to start with. All in all, I guess this is good news!

Prayers that the antibiotic treats the bacteria, and that it isn't too rough on her stomach. Sending big hugs! Keep us posted.

Good evening everyone. Henry is feeling a little better, he was up and down all day. He would go crazy when his fever was down. Then he would crash when his fever was up. He is staying home at least half a day tomorrow. My wife will be home with him.

Nathan, passed and has his license. He drove himself to and from his college class this evening. He takes one college class at a local community college.

So I head back to school tomorrow and hopefully Henry will be ready to go back on Thursday.

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day! Right back into another mid-week. I have plenty of work to do the next 3 days before I can enjoy a 3 day weekend but it will be well worth it. I'm thinking of dressing up Rollins for his 1st Halloween but not sure if he's going to like it lol. I never did that with Nitro. I'll check out the pet store and see if they have any interesting costumes for him this weekend and pick him up a few more toys. He has a such tough aka spoiled life. Good Wednesday morning! 3 more days until a weekend off. I'm working the afternoon/evening shift. It's getting more and more exciting at work. I just reviewed the Christmas merchandising booklets and am waiting for the operational booklet for key event dates. I put together a calendar to make sense of it all. In two weeks we launch our Christmas boutiques! Really my favourite time of year at the store. Have a fantastic day everyone!

Speaking of calendar - I just finished our 2017 family calendar....that is until people send me new pics to update (I'm sure they will) ... LOL! What a chore!
