Christmas Countdown - 2016

A Merry Monday Morning to you Snowflake. Now that we are done chasing each other in What we are listening to, I'm so glad your weekend went well and sorry to hear that Harlowe is having problems. I'll be sure to add his well being (along with you and yours) to my morning prayers. Busy but good day today. It is my daughter Amber's birthday. She and Connie are going to Iowa (yes people do actually go there) to pick up a "mate" for one of her many songbirds. While they are gone I will clean up and decorate the living room area in "Hollywood Premiere" night fashion for her and the feature presentation of the King & I. Believe it or not, she has never seen it. That along with dropping off a 4' Sully to the Children's hospital and a few "silk" trees to the zoo should keep me busy. At least it gives me an excuse to stop by Red Robin when I'm in that section of town.

We had a lot of fun with my cousin and her boyfriend this weekend. Time with family is always a cherished.
Harlowe was doing pretty well, but she got sick this morning. Hope that with some rest and plenty of water, she feels better today.
We travel for her specialist/Cardiologist appointment later this week.

She's doing pretty well, thanks! She didn't eat much over the weekend though. That's not always unusual, but we'll keep an eye on her eating pattern. She doesn't act like she has an upset belly, but it's hard to tell. She sure had fun playing with her boyfriend Jackson this weekend at the lake!

Glad she had a fun weekend with Jackson!

Good Sunday Morning MMC! Happy Mid-October day. I got a lot done Saturday so now I'm hoping today I have more time to relax but I have some cleaning to do today. With Rollins around the place is a little messy (putting it nicely). I'm just gonna enjoy today and watch some football as well. My team doesn't play so it makes it easier to just keep an eye on the games while doing other things. Oh I got exciting news yesterday. I remember telling you guys last year when my brother in CA text me to tell me when he was coming for Christmas. Well he told me yesterday his flight is set to arrive 5:30 AM on Saturday, December 17th! Unreal it sounds so far away but it's so exciting when he tells me every year. Looks like I have to get up around 4AM to pick him up but a week before Christmas Eve I don't think sleep will be my biggest priority!

How exciting!!! We'll miss our brother this year at Christmas - he will be home a couple weeks before, for our nephews wedding, so I'm sure he won't come back for Christmas. Such a bummer! But still excited to see them in December, of course!

I have a fond memory of being behind a car with a bumper sticker that said "Why Be Normal?" It was pasted on the bumper upside down. Extra points for style!

But my favorite bumper sticker that I saw said "Legalize Updoc." Took me a minute, but I still laugh when I think about it.

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

We took Elizabeth for a long dance practice on Saturday, and that gave Nancy and me time to visit Hobby Lobby to pick up some cool fall decorations. We set it up as soon as as we got home, but I can't find my short string of orange lights. It's around somewhere.

After church and lunch at mom's yesterday, Jim asked me to help him cut down a couple trees that were leaning toward his house after the storm. One actually broke and fell toward the house, but another tree caught it. It took us all afternoon, but we got it done.

Jacob's band has a gig playing at the annual county fair tomorrow evening, so that'll be a lot of fun!

Good morning, Happy Monday!
It's going to be a nice day, sun & clouds with highs near 75. I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. It was a pretty quiet one for me. I just did some shopping and spent time with my family. Bella also had an appointment with the new veterinarian, it went very well. The doctor and the staff were wonderful, the prices were reasonable and the office was clean and beautiful. Bonus points for the Autumn decorations and the fact that I smelled pumpkin spice as soon as I walked in. Anyway, I'm relieved to have found a new group that I like. Maggie will be going next, she's due for a well visit soon. Not too much going on here today, typical day of errands and chores. I hope everyone is well, has a nice day and a great week ahead!

This local lady only makes them about twice a month and she makes homemade tortillas for them.They end up being around 4 inches thick and she delivers..lol. Absolutely the best I have ever had so far.
