Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good morning all my Christmas loving friends !

taking mom to her appointment in Woodstock this morning. Of course we have to do the thrift store thing .

This afternoon I will be making a dozen halloween cupcakes that were ordered. Any suggestions for decorations ? They left it up to me.

I heard the word "snow" in the forecast this morning. Still to dark to see if we are getting any yet.

The house smells good as I just took a batch of sweet tea biscuits out of the oven. Anyone want to join me for breakfast ?

Morning all!! Day is starting out at 40° and it was still dark out at 7 am. Hoping today is the last day for the new shingles and the relentless hammering..lol

Good Tuesday morning! Very cold this morning, nothing to do but get used to it. As I got home last night, the "clicker" for my remote car starter literally snapped in half and broke. As if I didn't have enough to do on my day off, now I have to place a call to the car dealership to replace this useful tool. I have a dentist appointment this morning, have some things to buy for work, some groceries as well, gotta find a scarf to combat this cold and do laundry and housecleaning. I'm tired just thinking about it all. Have a great day everyone!

Gotta get used to that chill!

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! Happy Rudolph Day #10. That seems crazy that this is the 10th Rudolph Day of the year. Not many left huh? It's chilly out this morning but that's expected for this time of year. Put on my sweater for the first time in 6 months. Rollins literally jumped in my bed at 2:30 AM, curled up against me and went to sleep. He slept there an hour...while I tried to fall back to sleep. Just another day at work here in late October. Getting ready soon for Halloween weekend.

Good morning MMC! Merry Tuesday!!! Merry Rudolph Day! We had our 1st frost on the roof tops this morning. Brrrrr! Ready or not...

I put my Sheryl Crow Christmas cd in the Durango this morning - Trying to listen to some of the CD's now before the season starts that aren't necessarily my "faves" but still good!

Elizabeth got her braces off yesterday, and she was super-happy! Her teeth look great, too! She wanted to go out to eat to celebrate, so we went to her favorite Japanese restaurant and had a good meal.

Sounds a busy day ahead. I hope you get everything sorted easily. Always seems like car repairs are needed this time of year. Mr F had to order a new heater for our today. Good luck with the dentist. We usually go this week in October every year but our dentist is on vacation . Can't say that I am disappointed about that LOL! Hope you find a nice scarf.

Wow! Look at that Li'l Jackie bloom!
Still no buds starting on Laura, but she often doesn't get going until mid-November.
I trimmed a couple of "starters" recently and put them in a jar of water to start roots. When they do, I may pot them and bring them to work for anyone who wants them.

Great idea! I am hoping someone in the family wants the starts to Jackie, but so far no takers!!

Straight No Chaser a ten-man a cappella group that has been around since about 2008. A video they made in college went viral on YouTube, and Atlantic Records convinced them to get back together so they could sign them to a contract. They've done three Christmas albums and a few other albums, and have been featured in a couple of PBS specials.

In our Christmas music collection, what don't we have! It's a real mishmash of a little bit of everything. I really love the traditional stuff especially---big lush orchestras and choirs.

I checked them out on youtube! Nice! Thanks for the info!

I know! Can't wait!
Crazy to think I'll be taking my Halloween decorations, and some autumn down next week! Christmas decorating is soon after!!

Gosh, I didn't even think of that. NEXT week I'll be taking down some Halloween & putting up Thanksgiving. Yikes!
