Good Sunday morning! I was able to sleep in until close to 7am, a real treat. I finished my tulle skirt yesterday for my tooth fairy costume, but the teeth I had ordered to make a headband and necklace/bracelet did not arrive in time. Spent the better part of the morning yesterday going from store to store to try and find teeth but no luck. I may just be a regular fairy then, we'll see. Another busy morning ahead as we have to go grocery shopping for the week, but then it will be a relaxing afternoon as all of our chores are pretty much done.

I forgot to mention that I saw the first houses decorated for Christmas the other night. Well I think one of them never took down their lights from last year and simply turned the switch on, but still it was very exciting to see.

I bet the tulle skirt came out beautiful, I love fairy costumes. Maggie has a couple of tulle skirts. I love to dress her up :)
So exciting about the Christmas lights, I can't wait until I start to see the houses lit up!

Good Morning MMC !

Sunday morning, all is quiet.
Baked the raisen bread, I made it from sourdough so it will have a really nice flavour.

Off to church then off to my brothers place after picking up mom. We are having a BBQ as my sister and her hubby are in town for a couple of days.

Happy Halloween Eve, friends! My goodness time flies...

I've been on a "staycation" with my husband for our 2 year wedding anniversary and 5 year dating anniversary this week. It's been lovely! Apple picking, good restaurants, ran 12 miles yesterday AM-a first for me, and today church and then a painting class, another first for me!

I hope you all are doing well. After half marathon training is over in 13 days I'll be able to be a bit more present here-it's hard when you have to run so much to find time for everything unfortunately! But, we're tapering now and the race is almost here, so it will have been worth it.

Merry Halloween Eve!
It's going to be mostly cloudy with showers moving in later today, highs near 70. Temperatures will cool off for Halloween tomorrow but it's supposed to be sunny, so that's good.
Not too much going on here this morning. I just fried a batch of meatballs and have a pot of sauce simmering. Just having my coffee now and relaxing. My husband and I are going to visit my parents this afternoon. We're going to stop at the pasta shop on the way home to pick up stuffed shells for dinner. We'll be watching a hockey game this evening as well. The Islanders are not off to a great start this year, hoping that changes!

Good Halloween Eve Morning MMC! I guess that introduction is a bit of a hint to one of our 3 counts that we are currently tracking. I'm filling in for Crown this morning but do not worry as the great Crown shall return on Halloween. Speaking of Halloween without further babbling from me let's look at the 3 counts we have.
Days to Halloween: 1 (hence it's Halloween Eve!)
Days to the Season: 14 (that would be unbelievably 2 weeks from TODAY!)
Days to Christmas Day: 56 (that would be even more unbelievably 8 weeks from TODAY!)

Wow let those 3 statistics sink in. I'm having a hard time really believing where we are but it's true (the numbers don't lie). Take in every moment of every day this time of year my friends. It is truly the most special time of year and it's really just beginning to kick off.
