Well it was indeed nicely warm yesterday, as forecasted.
Today? Even warmer, with our high predicted to be above 80. (The weather service saying we could possibly set a record high for the date.)
Currently, our thermometer reading is 60 degrees here in the capital city.

Did you see the story of the guy who in (I think it was 1994) when he graduated high school wrote in his year book that the Cubs would win the World Series in 2016? I'm sure they are going to want to interview him.

Good Thursday Morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve! Congrats to the Cubs. No way could I stay up that late but I saw part of the game and then the results this morning. A cloudy morning but very mild. Rain expected today and then a lot of sun but more normal temps with highs in the 50s expected through the weekend ahead and into early next week. I may go to Subway for lunch because they have a deal today buy a sub, get 1 free. I rarely go there anymore because I feel you get a much better deal/sandwich from the local deli than Subway.

Good morning ~
Happy Thursday!
It's going to be partly cloudy with temperatures in the lower 70's. My house was a bit too warm yesterday, I had to run the air conditioner. I'm sure I'll have to do the same today, hopefully it will cool off soon. Anyway, we have a couple of appointments today. My oldest is scheduled for a routine dentist appointment, I'll probably take a ride with her and keep her company. I scheduled cleanings & X-rays for the whole family this month. Might as well get them out of the way before Christmas. Maggie also has to go back to the veterinarian later to have blood drawn again, the poor thing. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. I put all of my Halloween decorations away and switched to all Thanksgiving. I'm really excited about hosting the holiday, can't wait. My daughter decorated a pumpkin for me last night, she drew freehand. It came out cute. I put it next my little Autumn tree, I thought I would share a picture ~

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

Mama made it home safely last night from her 2-1/2 weeklong trip to the mountains. I know she loves it as much as I do, but there's always something to be said for coming home, too. We're going back in a couple weeks for Elizabeth's birthday present, but I doubt mama will be ready to leave home so soon.

Jacob has joined the chorus at the university, and his first performance with them is tomorrow evening. We're looking forward to that!

The only deli around here is pretty expensive, so sandwiches are usually from Subway. Of course, Bernie make a pretty spectacular pork chop sandwich!

Maybe Subway there is better but here it's mostly lettuce and tomato on their sandwiches.

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve!!! Seems odd that it's Friday Eve & I don't have to get things ready to head to the lake tomorrow! Ho hum! As nice as the weather is, we should be heading there!

We had another gorgeous walk in the woods after work yesterday. So warm & pretty! I have to admit I was a little sad leaving there though, knowing Emma is heading home tonight for the weekend, and by next week it will be dark an hour earlier - tree's may not be as pretty as they are this week - will probably be a little cooler. Just made me a little sad. Then Emma reminded me - we don' want this weather for Christmas!!! LOL Good 'ol Emma!

It's just hard to say goodbye to such nice weather.

After our walk, Gracie & I went for another convertible ride. Just had to do it so I could say I did on November 2nd. LOL! Hopefully it wasn't our last for year, but we're pushing it!

I enjoyed turning on Holly Radio on Sirius XM in the Durango on my way to work this morning. YAY!!

Good morning @snowflake22 !! So glad you checked in!! AND SO glad to see that Harlowe is doing good & enjoying the fall weather!!! Continued prayers for all of you! I hope work slows down (or you get more help in there) so you can visit us more often!!

Gracie is doing well. This morning she got up, ate her food, took all her meds & was running around outside barking at the birds, the neighbors cat, & the kids walking by for the bus. (they have a morning ritual with Gracie...LOL) Fingers crossed her test results from Tuesday come back good! xx Thanks so much for the prayers!

It was another beautiful day out there. I just came in from sitting out with the neighbors.

It was an amazing 1st 2 days of November! Seemed strange this morning listening to Christmas music on the RADIO & seeing kids waiting on the bus in there short sleeve's & shorts! Ha ha! Today is still pretty warm, but I'm not seeing any sunshine so far!!

Goodnight everyone. I am still exhausted from my overnight even though I slept for 3 hours when I got home and that was because my dad took Carolina on errands with him. Good news is that lots of Christmas goodies are out. I will probably go to sleep once Mike tells me he is on the way home from work

I admit, the weather has been pretty nice around here, too. Still, we need cold weather to push those skeeters back to the H-E-Double Hockey Sticks that they came from!

I hoped the Cubs would win, so the people of Chicago could get the same feeling Boston got in 2004---senior citizens who had been waiting---literally---an entire lifetime to see the Sox win the World Series were celebrating. And people were even decorating the headstones of departed Sox fans who didn't live to see the happy day. It was quite an experience. And the Cubs waited longer for it than the Sox did.
