Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good morning ~
Happy Saturday!
It's going to be a beautiful day, sunny with a high of 60, we're currently at 37 degrees. Not too much going on here today, my husband and the girls will all be working for a few hours. I just have to do some food shopping this morning. Other than that I'll be working on the laundry. I think I'm also going to work on my Christmas gift list today, I'd like to start shopping soon. We're going to order pizza for dinner and watch the hockey game tonight. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful weekend!

Good Morning Christmas friends...Hope everyone is having a fab weekend so far...Having a great time with my oldest daughter today...we gave her a surprise visit yesterday and she was amazed to see us all...Going to explore Edinburgh today with her and have lunch and dinner out...The hotel is gorgeous and so was the breakfast...Pop back in later tonite...Enjoy your weekend christmas friends

Good Saturday Morning MMC! Well tonight we turn the clocks back an hour which is just another step and sign that we are closing in on the Christmas season. I will be glad it will be lighter in the morning but it's not going to be nice being dark at 4:30PM. But that's how we go right towards the holidays so it's a small price to pay. Just a bunch of errands to do today but at least we sort of get an extra hour to do what we need to do and hopefully rest some.

Good Morning, Nearly-One-Week-To-Go Friends!

And indeed, incredibly hard to believe though it may be, we are just about down to one, lone, solitary week until the dramatic launch of Christmas Season 2016 and all its beauty!

Today's intriguing numbers:
Days to the Season: 8 (ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW, GUYS!!)
Days to Thanksgiving Day: 19 (DOWN into the TEENS!)
Days to Christmas Day: 50 (Seven weeks from tomrrow!)

It's getting so close....well.....I'm afraid to even think about it.
And not only that, but our Special Post Series looms a scant THREE days away!

November 08 (Day 5 before the Season) = Christmasstar
November 09 (Day 4 before the Season) = Binger
November 10 (Day 3 before the Season) = McGunny
November 11 (Day 2 before the Season) = DYHWI Hear
November 12 (Day 1 before the Season) = Brent

(This is just too exciting to deal with. I need to change topics to something safe, like the weather.)


The weather?
Well, it took the predicted cool turn yesterday after an early morning rain.
Chilly conditions will persist on into next week and today's installment has commenced here at 47 degrees.

Good Saturday morning! Day 1 of my two-week staycation. Yesterday I managed to finish around 7:30pm which was not so bad. Woke up at 6:30am though, my body is not yet in vacation mode. This will be a day to watch movies currently watching Tremors) and not do a single thing. But I plan to use my time off to do some heavy Fall cleaning before we decorate for Christmas and to get most of my Christmas shopping done. I'll also add music to my Christmas playlist and maybe work on a new advent calendar. Hope everyone will enjoy a wonderful weekend!

I finally got away from my house this morning! I ran a few errands and now I am at the library being "Missie" for a little while. It's the big day! The grand switch on of the Christmas lights will officially open the Christmas season here. I am not sure which celebrity will flick the switch but there will be fireworks and guest performances.

I can't believe it's here!!

Hey friends! after 9 miles this AM I am ready for the 13.1 half marathon miles next Saturday! Cannot wait!!! My very first one. I am so tired but so excited and so ready for those hours I've spent running to pay off-and also to have some free time again!!

How's your Saturday?

We've been out and around getting things done ... including a little Christmas shopping, because we saw some things that friends would like. I couldn't resist some Radko ornaments for myself, and a DVD of "The Snowman" for $7.99. The pocketbook got a few bruises, but we got our shopping started. Looking forward to an evening in, and an extra hour when the clocks change tonight.
