Hope everyone had a great day! Mike and I ended up going to Longhorn for lunch and walked the mall and Barnes and Noble. His parents fully broke down and bought a car seat so they can take Carolina places. Today they took her to Downtown Haddonfield to see the Christmas Decorations. They also bought her a couple of toys. She had a lot of fun with them.

We are home now and it seems to be sleeting. It got very cold very fast. I am going to curl up under a blanket with a Christmas movie on and read my nook for a little bit before bed.

Good evening,

A busy day around the house, yet nothing Christmassy got done. :( I am so far behind on my decorating.
Back to work tomorrow, on which I am sure will be a busy day. We may get some snow tomorrow, but it is supposed to be mostly rain.

I hope you all enjoyed your Saturday.

Goodnight, everyone

Merry Saturday, HmG!!
Enjoy the Fall weather today!
Sounds like a lovely day planned~
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs to you guys.
Xo

A great Saturday HMG! Hope you find a perfect gift for your daughter.

Thank you both <3
My day didn't go as planned. Maggie was still having issues with her tummy so I wanted to stay close by. I went food shopping and picked up medicine at the veterinarian but other than that I stayed in. I might do some birthday gift shopping tomorrow if Maggie is feeling better. We'll see.
My daughter surprised me with a new Keepsake ornament today for no reason, it made my day!
I hope everyone had a nice day ~
Keeping all of you in my prayers.
Goodnight MMC!

Oh I love random presents like that for no reason. Keeping Maggie in my thoughts, hope the medication helps her. Hope you had a nice day nonetheless and here's hoping for an even better Sunday.

Good Sunday morning! My last day of vacation, it just flew by. I could have used another week to be truthfull, but nothing I can do about that. Today I have to go change cell phones, my old one is becoming unresponsive. I hold on to electronics for as long as possible, it's an iPhone 4s to give you an idea. Other than that, no other outings, the plan is to just relax at home. It's going to be a much cooler day today before it gets downright cold tomorrow. Hoping everyone will have a great day!

Thank you so much Martine! Pretty sure the medicine is helping Maggie, last night was much better than during the day. Hopefully she'll continue to improve. Enjoy the last day of your vacation!!!

Good morning ~
Happy Sunday!
Its going to be windy and cooler today with a chance of showers, highs near 44 degrees. Not too much going on here. There are a few things I want to do around the house to get it in order for Thanksgiving, it's so close now. I may run to the mall as well to pick up my daughters birthday gift. Other than that I'm going to try and take it easy. I know the beginning of the week will be quite hectic getting ready for the holiday!
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

** CHRISTMAS SEASON 2016 DAY 8 **

Good Morning, Season Revelers!

Well, Guys. We have now completed a full week of our long-awaited and much-coveted Christmas Season.
Has it been meeting your expectations? No?
Exceeding them, maybe??
(Let's hope it's the latter answer!)

Regardless, we proceed:
Days to Thanksgiving Day: 4 (Now barely over 1/2 A WEEK remains. Incredible!)
Days to Christmas Day: 35 (Five weeks from this very day!)
(I can nearly taste that turkey and cranberry sauce!)

Well, unfortunately, the weather service was on the money. After a beautiful morning and early afternoon yesterday (with a high of 77 degrees) things took an ominous turn. The skies darkened, the wind picked up and the temps began a steady declined which bottomed out this morning here at 34 degrees. Tonight's low is predicted at 27 and it will remain rather chilly until sometime into next week.
We have warmed a bit right now, up to 39.

Well, the Panthers pulled out a win on Thursday and are still in the running for their divisional championship, thanks to the less than stellar records of the other member teams.
We will see what the Packers can do this evening.

Have a Super Sunday, Folks!

Thanks Crown! Thanksgiving Week begins tomorrow!

Good Sunday Morning MMC! The days to Thanksgiving are dwindling. We usually are sad when the weekend ends but this time...it's actually exciting with the big week that is upon us. I know we all keep saying it's hard to believe how fast everything is going. Each step this time of year is so important now. Cherish every moment that you can. I know that's my plan...and having off from noon on Wednesday through Sunday will definitely help with that.
Today I'm going to catch up on homework and relax this evening. I need to be as caught up on everything by the end of today so that I can fully enjoy Thanksgiving week!
Have a great day!

I couldnt find a place to really put this post but,to a few that asked about Cards for Troops. Due to drawdowns in deployed troops,it becomes harder to send gifts and cards today. Only because the deployed troops are "specialized" and the deployed count is low. Still some places accept cards and packages to be sent overseas. Our local Red Cross wont take anything now for troops. But check your local Reserve/Guard units in case they are deployed. I included a link thats a all-in-one if you want to send stuff.

Sure hope Maggie is feeling better; always such a worry when our furfriends are sick and we feel helpless. O'Malley has only given us 3 scares in his nearly 12 years of life. He's a big boy, yet healthy.
How nice that you were surprised with a Keepsake ornament for no special reason when it's so close to Christmas. My dad would prefer if we simply picked up the odd thing here and there for each other just because we happened upon something we think the other person would enjoy not because of a date on the calendar.

Good morning! Not too much on the agenda for today. Do some laundry, watch the Browns' game, get ready for a two day school week, go grocery shopping this evening. Three of those items barely requires me to move.;)
The grocery shopping will be the adventure for the day though. We will do our Thanksgiving dinner shopping. Plus, this year we are hosting two Thanksgiving dinners.
The turkeys are ordered and I will pick them up Wednesday morning. For the last several years we have gone to a local turkey farm to get fresh turkey. I am amazed at how much easier they are to cook and the taste is amazing. Plus it supports a local business which is always a nice bonus. The cost is a bit much, but I think it is worth it.
Everyone enjoy the day! Time to go get some more coffee!

We are just receiving our first "It's winter " snow storm!! Snowing like crazy!!

Same here; I could actually smell the difference of the snow falling from what I would detect with rain. While I was drinking my coffee, the Canada Geese flew by honking to encourage each other to fly faster and higher. They drew my attention and I looked out the window. I said, "Oh there's a little dusting of snow out there." My husband retorted, "Dusting - honey, that's it - that's snow and it's still coming down. Winter is here." I love it for photos and for two weeks surrounding Christmas and it looks nicer on the trees than leafless branches and twigs, but I don't like bundling up and brushing the car off, etc.

The arrival of the snow was the merry kick in the pants I needed to get a jump start on my Christmas cards. My husband was resting so I put the TV on the Holiday Favourites music station. The mood was set and then I started selecting different photos of special meaning for different card recipients. The choice is never random; it's like choosing a special gift or wrapping paper; to me they represent a connection between the sender and receiver.
I had to take a break because my hands were getting sweating because my husband cranked the heat up and I didn't want the ink to run all over the place.

Keep a merry thought in your head and have a great day! +h
