I volunteer my services as cookie taster. Tough work, but someone has to do it. If you want easy to do and love shortbread, these no-bake Millionaire Bars are really good.
How thoughtful! :p ;)
Thanks for sharing the recipe! They look delicious!

Hello all. Busy at work but thankfully this is my Monday AND my Friday! Hope everyone is doing well. Y'all have a great week.
Nice to see you Ryan! Happy Thanksgiving week!!

Now that I'm all caught up, it's time to go home! :) Everyone, have a fabulous evening!

Not sure if you baked cookies already but I came across this gem a few years ago. Mmmm

Peanut Butter Brownie Cookies – Hometown Christmas 2010 – DELICIOUS!

http://www.pillsbury.com/recipes/peanut-butter-brownie-cookies/78d2e747-151c-48d1-838b-fdde7d1e3e37/

1 pkg. (19.5 oz) Choc Fudge Brownie Mix
1/4 C. butter, melted
4 oz. Cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1 C. powdered sugar
1 C. Peanut Butter
1/2 container chocolate fudge frosting

Heat oven to 350º. Beat brownie mix, melted butter, cream cheese & egg in medium bowl – 50 strokes with spoon until well blended. (dough will be sticky) Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2” apart onto ungreased cookie sheets to make 24 cookies; smooth edge of each to form round cookie.

Mix powdered sugar & peanut butter in small bowl . With hands, roll rounded teaspoonfuls of peanut butter mixture into 24 balls. Lightly press 1 ball into center of each ball of dough. Bake 10 – 14 minutes or until edges are set. Cool on cookie sheets at least 30 minutes. Spread thin layer of frosting over peanut butter portion of each cooled cookie.

*This made 30 cookies when I made it
[/QUOTE}
This recipe looks delicious, it reminds me of a Reese's pieces.

Hey Stevie. I hate to say it, but when it comes to cookies, I use a mix. I never have understood how I can cook so well, but all my baking comes out weird (and usually heavy). The first batch of "from scratch" cookies I made each weighed around a pound.
But I do use a "mold" to make some of my cookies with, even a big one if I choose to make a cookie cake (so to speak). Either way enjoy the experience and the sharing...

All the Christmas cooking shows have inspired me to make some cookies. I hope I don't burn them.

Whistling Christmas tunes yesterday to see if they can get stuck in other heads to get the merry feeling travelling about the workplace. I heard a co-working humming to one of them so it's working.

Keep a merry thought in your head! :lightman

Love it, AMD~ -sing-
And happy to hear that about your Mom. Continued prayers for her!
Have a merry rest of your Monday!

Good Saturday morning! Currently huddled under a blanket in the living room with Loki sleeping between my hubby and me and the little pooch is snoring/making the cutest noises. I always wonder what he's dreaming of. Time to get ready and start the day. I want to get all the shopping and chores done today so that tomorrow, my last day off, I'll be able to just relax and have fun. We might go to a restaurant for supper, we'll see how the day unfolds. And we'll finally hang David's beloved new tape lights. Have a fantastic day everyone!
Aww, Loki. Harlowe & I are sending hugs to you.

Did you and David end up going out to dinner, Martine?

Adi and I did on Friday night, it was nice.

Hope your week is off to a good start =]

Hello MMC friends,
I always love reading the threads at this time of year to see what everybody's up to !

I have my humble but beautiful little Christmas tree up now, it's so relaxing to watch the blinking lights...

Wishing everybody a fantastic weekend

ms Rose xo
Your tree sounds lovely, MsRose!
Have a wonderful and blessed week~
xoxo

Hope everyone had a great day! Mike and I ended up going to Longhorn for lunch and walked the mall and Barnes and Noble. His parents fully broke down and bought a car seat so they can take Carolina places. Today they took her to Downtown Haddonfield to see the Christmas Decorations. They also bought her a couple of toys. She had a lot of fun with them.

We are home now and it seems to be sleeting. It got very cold very fast. I am going to curl up under a blanket with a Christmas movie on and read my nook for a little bit before bed.
It sounds like you & Mike had a fun weekend, and Caroline had some festive adventures with her grandparents too!

Stay warm, and have a great week!

Thank you both <3
My day didn't go as planned. Maggie was still having issues with her tummy so I wanted to stay close by. I went food shopping and picked up medicine at the veterinarian but other than that I stayed in. I might do some birthday gift shopping tomorrow if Maggie is feeling better. We'll see.
My daughter surprised me with a new Keepsake ornament today for no reason, it made my day!
I hope everyone had a nice day ~
Keeping all of you in my prayers.
Goodnight MMC!

Happy Monday, friend~

How sweet and thoughtful of your daughter!

Sorry to hear that Maggie had a rough day. How is she doing today?
Bless her heart.
Prayers for her, we are sending you both lots of love.
xo

Good evening,

Slow day at MMC today, I only had 23 posts to catch up on since last night.
Today was probably the last big day for turkeys, and I am feeling it. I put out at least 75 cases of turkeys. I am tired and very achey.
I work again tomorrow and then have Tuesday off.
20 more days until we go to NYC, I am starting to get excited. I cannot wait to see the big tree at Rockefeller Center.
We got a little bit of snow, but nothing stuck to the ground, 50 miles west of us got 10 inches today.

I hope you all had a great day

Goodnight, everyone
Thinking of you, friend. Hope your Monday is going well.
Enjoy your day off tomorrow!
Hope you can relax some, and decorate too.

This is my daughter watching her first Santa Claus Parade. She loved the floats, especially Santa Claus's float.
So precious! Love it, Mike!!

Good Morning MMC friends. Where to begin? I was preparing to go to my friend's funeral on Wednesday when I got a call from work saying my wife had fallen in the parking lot. I and our daughter got here and brought her home, but something was still not right, so we called her doctor and she informed us to take her to the ER ASAP. After examination, it was determined she had acute Kidney failure and needed to be hospitalized. She stayed there from Wednesday until Saturday. After all the tests and time, it was decided by the doctors that she had picked up some type of virus that was affecting her kidneys (as they came back to normal on Thursday). Needless to say however, my week was up and down. Visiting her in the room, taking care of things at home, working and trying to get a little sleep here and there. I basically did okay, but obviously time on the computer and this very special site had to be put on hold.

That must've been so frightening, CGYager. I am relieved to hear she is feeling much better now.
Prayers for healing are being sent up. Sending hugs your way. God bless you both.

Hope you're feeling better, and that you have a blessed week ahead.

Good Morning MMC !

it was a busy weekend so glad all that is done now.
Only got a bronze at the cake competition this year, this was my entry

Now on to the gingerbread house building fun !

Winter has arrived compete with snow squall warnings. It is -3 this morning (26f) with a much colder wind chill -9c (15f). So glad I have auto start on my van so it can defrost a bit before I have to get in.

Hope you all have a fantastically wonderful day !

Beautiful, CS!

Good morning ~
Happy Thanksgiving week!
I've been up for quite some time, Maggie was so restless last night. No time to be tired, lots to do today. I have to pick up a couple of things at Bed, Bath & Beyond for Thanksgiving and I must finish birthday gift shopping for my daughter. I have a bit of cleaning to do as well. Tomorrow I will finish up my food shopping and I'll start cooking, baking and prepping on Wednesday!
I hope everyone is well and has a very Happy Monday!
Happy Thanksgiving week to you <3

Hope that you both get a peaceful night of sleep tonight, HmG~
xo

Good morning! Today I have some errands to do before I get ready for work. Luckily my dad is off so I don't have to drag Carolina out in the cold at all. I have to run to Walmart to purchase Carolina's last Christmas gift. She is getting a bike. I will pay for it today and have the bike guys at Walmart put it together for me. Then it will sit in my aunts garage until Christmas eve night

How exciting!! I'm sure Carolina will be ecstatic :D

Happy New Week, everyone!

We woke up to a dusting of snow this morning ... which was a little surprise! It's in the low 30s and a bit nippy, so it's starting to feel like Thanksgiving outdoors. I got my crown re-cemented early this morning, so I'll be in good shape for the office Thanksgiving at lunchtime. (I'll have to go easy when chewing on that side for today, though!) And the receptionist told me a shortcut (with no traffic!) to get directly to the route I take to work, so I wasn't even late.

Hope you enjoyed the office Thanksgiving lunch! @MerryCarey
Have a nice, short holiday week!

Good morning MMC! Merry Monday!!! Why is it all weekend I didn't care that I'm not prepared at all for 40 people coming on Thursday but today I would give my left arm to be at home prepping?? Ha ha! No, really it will be fine - I always start stressing as it draws near!! @Bradmac I was so happy my niece texted this morning asking what she could bring! Guess what I told her?? YEP, Green Bean Casserole! :D

Happy Monday, Holiday!
It sounds like you had a busy but fun weekend~
Your niece's puppy sounds adorable, glad that she & Gracie had a blast together <3
Hope your Mom can cut off the cold, praying for her!
Have a great Thanksgiving week!

Merry Monday! Unfortunately my Dad is in the hospital. He went in yesterday morning and he is having a GI bleed but they are not sure where? They did an upper endoscopy and could not find anything so they think it could be coming from the small intestine. He has to have a transfusion today and hopefully will be out before Thanksgiving..we will see. He feels pretty good though..I am going to go down and see him after work.
Hope you all have a great day!
Good afternoon, friend~
I'm sorry to hear about your Dad. Keeping him, and you in my thoughts & prayers.
Sending many hugs, too.
Praying that all goes well with the transfusion, and he can be released soon.
Take good care.
xx

Glad to hear you found a short cut to work & you weren't late!! Hope your office Thanksgiving was nice & yummy! Have a good day MC!
Yummy and very filling!
My chocolate chip cookies were a hit. I took nearly four dozen. About half an hour ago only one was left! :) (Full disclosure: I ate two of them myself.)

I have been watching Christmas cooking shows and it seems like walnuts are a common ingredient.
I think they're "hot" right now because they are a healthy nut (they contain healthy fats and other nutrients). But the main thing is, they taste great in chocolate chip cookies!

All the Christmas cooking shows have inspired me to make some cookies. I hope I don't burn them.
Make sure your oven rack is in the middle of the oven---not too high and not too low. Peek in on them about a minute before the lowest time on the recipe.

If you bake two sheets at a time, halfway through the baking time, switch them---put the bottom sheet on top and the top sheet on the bottom---for more even baking.

If you burn them, don't be discouraged. Whip up another batch. Like anything else, it takes practice. That's why I fell back on making chocolate chip cookies: I've baked more of them than anything else in my time.

I am going to buy a premium membership, do the Visa gift cards work as a form of payment?
I think so. Here's a link.
It takes you to a PayPal dialog, but there's a button for paying with a debit or credit card.
If you have any questions, send a PM to Jeff Westover, and he'll take care of you. Give him a little time to reply, though---he's a very busy guy this time of year.

Happy Monday morning to you Martine. My vacation is this week, up until Friday night. The first day (Sunday) began with me sleeping all day due to a cold. It is still hanging on a bit, but I refuse to let it keep me down all week. Have never had a cell phone, so unfortunately, I cannot relate, but I will assume that it is a few years old? Temps here have cooled down a lot, but I am hopeful that most of the snow will be gone this week so I can set all the outside decorations. They will go up either way, just easier if I can see the ground... lol
Have a fun day and a large cup of coffee...

Hope you've enjoyed the second day of your vacation CGYager. It's good that you slept yesterday, rest will help you fight off this cold. Hope you feel better soon and that the weather cooperates so that you can finish decorating.

I basically did okay, but obviously time on the computer and this very special site had to be put on hold.
She is home now and will see her regular doctor on Tuesday. She hopes to be back at work on Wednesday, but we will see. I can sympathize, as I hate just laying around myself. A bit of a cold hit me on Friday and I did battle with it, resulting in a Sunday sleeping all day with the help of Daddy NyQuil.
I am off now until Friday night at 10PM, so I plan on finishing any shopping this morning and then spending time between some TV with my wife and a little decorating. I also want to replace that four foot section on the roof that is out, but we will see how that goes...
I hope you all had a great weekend and this week will be even better for one and all... take care.

Beautiful! Love the bright red/pink. There's so much detail, I would never have the patience (or skills) to pull something like this off. Congratulations on your bronze placement. And hope you had a great time at your Christmas work party this weekend. Stay warm.

I will keep your father in my thoughts SnowflakeMom. Here's hoping they quickly figure out where the problem is so they can provide relief.
