Christmas Countdown - 2016

Hello all. Busy at work but thankfully this is my Monday AND my Friday! Hope everyone is doing well. Y'all have a great week.

Greetings Ryan. I had my Friday on Saturday and will be off until this coming Friday night. The first two days off were spent inside due to a cold. Feeling better now, but I will stick to inside chores just to be on the safe side. Enjoy your Tuesday and the rest of your "weekend" however long it lasts...

It is done, we have pretty much survived the Thanksgiving turkey rush. The sales really drop off after today. We had one heck of a sell through this year, blowing away last year's sales. I am proud of my team for all they did. I know how tired and sore I am, and I am quite sure they all feel the same. We get a week and a half to 2 weeks "rest" before the hams take over.
Day off tomorrow, nothing planned just hoping for rest and decorating.

Two days left to the big day!
I had to take the turkey out of the fridge now just for a little while
I cant have it icy on Thursday morning...

Thomas is working from Thursday to Monday
It's almost a tradition that he's not home for Thanksgiving
So I'm used to do everything myself, but it's okay
We are going to be 8 people for Thanksgiving dinner ♥

The kids have the day off on Friday
Maybe we are doing som Black Friday shopping
We'll see.. I dont like crowded places...

Good Monday evening! First day back from vacation wasn't too bad, except for driving in the snow this morning. And it's cold enough still that it hasn't all melted. If it weren't for the very cold winds, it would have been a pleasant day, even with the snow. Hope everyone is safe and warm tonight, enjoy the rest of your evening!

Happy Thanksgiving Mmc friends , I can't hardly believe it my last minute MR is out shopping tonight for our Thanksgiving feast lol .

Good Tuesday morning! Seems hubby and I are both fighting off the first signs of a cold this morning (he a sore throat and me coughing). I'm working the afternoon/evening shift today, so I'll get some chores done in the morning. I also have some things to take care of for our work Christmas party coming up on Sunday. But it was not a good night's sleep so I want to find some time to relax as well. Wishing everyone a fantastic day!

I ended up bringing Maggie back to the veterinarian today. The doctor sent us home with new medicine, I'm praying it helps to settle her tummy. My poor girl can't catch a break. We're not sure what's going on, he said it may be viral. If she doesn't improve within a few days they may have to do blood work again. I'm praying she feels better, especially before Thanksgiving. I have so much to do and I hate to leave her side when she's sick. I'll keep you posted.

Good Morning HMG. I am so sorry to hear that Maggie is still under the weather. Viral is tough because you never know when it will run it's course. I will remember her and you in my morning prayers and hope that Thanksgiving Day (if not before) finds everyone is good health and spirits. We have two here along with a variety of birds and fish and leaving them to do other things is always tough.

Morning Xmas. Good to hear that you get a brief respite before the Christmas feasting begins. Do you get much of a call for Prime Rib? That is what we usually have on Christmas.

A terrific Tuesday to you and yours Solice. Almost here. I will prepare the sausage gravy on Wednesday for the Thanksgiving morning breakfast (to include hash brown and biscuits). I do most of the cooking here, but I don't mind. Been doing my own cooking for the majority of my life (even when single). Never could handle TV dinners. I can relate to crowded stores. Luckily with all the internet sales, by the time I get back to work (10PM Friday night), it should be back to normal.

Sorry to hear you both are not feeling well. Sounds like what I have been fighting the past two days. Rest and a few swigs of NyQuil seems to have done the trick for me. Still a little tickle, but feeling much better. Praying you both heal quickly and have a wonderful Thanksgiving...

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! Doesn't feel like a Tuesday but it is one. Another day of work to catch up on stuff before we head right into Thanksgiving. I can almost taste the turkey now we're so close. Just amazes me how everything starts so suddenly in 48 hours time. It always amazes me which is why I love this week almost more than any other of the whole year. Rollins was running around playing non-stop last evening so I was ready for bed and now feel refreshed to do it all over again today.
