Happy Thanksgiving Mmc friends , I can't hardly believe it my last minute MR is out shopping tonight for our Thanksgiving feast lol .
I just love a holiday that's all about food and gratitude !!!

I ended up bringing Maggie back to the veterinarian today. The doctor sent us home with new medicine, I'm praying it helps to settle her tummy. My poor girl can't catch a break. We're not sure what's going on, he said it may be viral. If she doesn't improve within a few days they may have to do blood work again. I'm praying she feels better, especially before Thanksgiving. I have so much to do and I hate to leave her side when she's sick. I'll keep you posted.

Good evening,

It is done, we have pretty much survived the Thanksgiving turkey rush. The sales really drop off after today. We had one heck of a sell through this year, blowing away last year's sales. I am proud of my team for all they did. I know how tired and sore I am, and I am quite sure they all feel the same. We get a week and a half to 2 weeks "rest" before the hams take over.
Day off tomorrow, nothing planned just hoping for rest and decorating.

Two days left to the big day!
I had to take the turkey out of the fridge now just for a little while
I cant have it icy on Thursday morning...

Thomas is working from Thursday to Monday
It's almost a tradition that he's not home for Thanksgiving
So I'm used to do everything myself, but it's okay
We are going to be 8 people for Thanksgiving dinner ♥

The kids have the day off on Friday
Maybe we are doing som Black Friday shopping
We'll see.. I dont like crowded places...

A terrific Tuesday to you Holiday. 40 guests? I get worn out even thinking about that many... lol. Obviously something you are use to, so I'm sure you will have it well in hand. Why does it seem like so many of us get ill around the holidays? Why not the first week of February if we really have to?

LOL! It is quite a crew! We are holding strong that we can still fit in our homes. It's hard to think of moving our family parties to a hall. Just not the same! I'm planning to put snacks on the island, but the food for the meal in the garage. (it's heated) Then we can seat 8 at our island, 5 at the bar in the basement, + we have 2 - 8' tables that will seat 8-10 people. We'll put one table in the sun room, 1 in the tv room. We can also set up a table in the basement & bring our patio furniture in the garage if needed. It will work!
And yes, people always seem to get sick around the holidays. Guess we do more visiting & sharing of germs?!

Good Tuesday morning! Seems hubby and I are both fighting off the first signs of a cold this morning (he a sore throat and me coughing). I'm working the afternoon/evening shift today, so I'll get some chores done in the morning. I also have some things to take care of for our work Christmas party coming up on Sunday. But it was not a good night's sleep so I want to find some time to relax as well. Wishing everyone a fantastic day!

Oh no! Praying you both fight off whatever it is you are coming down with! I had "Breathe" essential oils going in my diffuser overnight last night. Can't hurt this time of year, right?

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! Doesn't feel like a Tuesday but it is one. Another day of work to catch up on stuff before we head right into Thanksgiving. I can almost taste the turkey now we're so close. Just amazes me how everything starts so suddenly in 48 hours time. It always amazes me which is why I love this week almost more than any other of the whole year. Rollins was running around playing non-stop last evening so I was ready for bed and now feel refreshed to do it all over again today.

Good morning ~
Happy Tuesday!
It's been so windy and cold here the past couple of days. I don't mind the chillier weather but I hope the winds die down soon. Anyway, I plan on finishing my Thanksgiving food shopping today. I hope to get to the supermarket early. I'll head out after I finish cooking breakfast for everyone. Other than that, I need to dye my hair. I never made it to the salon. I may also run to the store later this afternoon for a new outfit to wear on Thursday. Depends on how my day goes and how Maggie's doing. No big deal if I can't though, I already know what I'm going to wear if I can't make it to the store. That's about it for me. Tomorrow I'll start cooking & baking. So exciting!

Good Morning, It's-Nearly-Thanksgiving Friends.

And the figures don't lie, it really is nearly Thanksgiving!
Days to Thanksgiving Day: 2 (THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, GUYS!)
Days to Christmas Day: 33 (Moving dangerously close to the one month mark!)
(So far, so fast!)


Well, the wind died down yesterday but it was still chilly, albeit sunny.
This afternoon is predicted to begin a slow warming trend that should see us fairly comfortable on Thanksgiving Day.
Right now, we are settled in at 32 degrees here in our little section of the great MMC Nation.


Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everybody.
And a quick heads-up for Carl's big Thanksgiving bash at the Shispering Pines tomorrow evening. You don't want to miss this open house.......and be sure to bring your appetites!

Good Monday evening! First day back from vacation wasn't too bad, except for driving in the snow this morning. And it's cold enough still that it hasn't all melted. If it weren't for the very cold winds, it would have been a pleasant day, even with the snow. Hope everyone is safe and warm tonight, enjoy the rest of your evening!

I will work a partial day tomorrow, and then I'm off until next Monday.
We will celebrate at home on Thursday, and then travel to celebrate with my family on Friday, and then travel again to spend it with Adrian's on Saturday. It will be a weekend of lots of food, family, and fun!

Winter Update!! We ended up this morning with 34" of snow!! I opened the front door and we had a 5 foot wall of snow blocking it..lol. It just started snowing again now
