Have you heard from the at-home care nurse? Really hoping your mother will feel much better soon. She seemed like she was improving and I'm sure she's happy to be home and with Emma by her side. Sending positive thoughts for a continued recovery.

Thanks Martine. Yes, Home Health & PT were there yesterday. They were both disappointed at how quickly she declined when she was doing so well! She was supposed to be released from both PT & Home health today. Don't think that will happen now. I just think it has to be related to the Coumadin. She was looking stronger today than yesterday. HH mentioned a feeding tube....mom & we all say - NO! They also mentioned a Hospice consult - they may have something to make her more comfortable. BUT hopefully once the Coumadin is out of her system, things will improve again... xx She sees her heart doc on Thursday.

Sorry to hear about your mom. Keeping her in my prayers

She is in my thoughts.

I will continue to keep your mom in my prayers {{{hugs}}}

Thanks everybody! :)

Inventory for us is 2 days after Valentines and 2 days after our delivery day. I don't know what they were thinking doing that. It will be a busy few weeks for us at work, but I am happy to be off for the super bowl. I hope everyone had a great Monday
I hope inventory goes better than expected!! xx

Good evening,

We had a scare today our old man, Merlin, who will be 18 in 2 weeks, we thought he was possibly going to be leaving us. My wife brought him to the vet this afternoon, he turns out to be as healthy as a horse. He was suffering from some severe arthritis pain in his back, he could barely walk and do other things he does daily. The vet gave him a prescription for some pain pills, he had one and is back to his normal self tonight. We are very relieved.
Work was rough, had a power outage, never fun.
February is almost here.

Goodnight, everyone
Oh gosh! Glad to hear Merlin is ok. That's scary!

Morning MMC! Can't believe it's the last day of January already! Geez. Usually this month drags so much to me yet somehow this year it went faster than December did I think. We are expecting 1-3 inches of snow today for a change. We haven't had too much this winter so it might be nice for everything to get covered up a bit as long as the roads don't get too slippery. Other than that just continuing my busy work week. Ordered a 3 foot italian sub for Sunday's Superbowl, got my chips, wings and now pretty much waiting for it to get here.
Hope everyone has a great last day of January!

Enjoy the snow!!! The 3' Italian sub sounds great!! As well as chips & wings = fun!
Have a good day!

Well I will have HELP eating all of that food...and there will be plenty of leftovers for anyone who wants some...and I am more of a pepsi guy than coke!
Whew! I was thinking you had a pretty big appetite! And I'm a Diet Pepsi guy, too.

Good morning MMC!
Merry Tuesday!
I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, the past few days have been busy. We ran around all weekend looking at places to have my daughters engagement party. She made a decision and we booked a date for the end of May. I kind of wish it could have been a bit sooner but that was the closest availability. Spring is such a busy time for parties. It will give us plenty of time to prepare. My daughter and her fiancée wanted to wait until the warmer weather anyway.
Not too much going on here today. I have an early doctor appointment to go over some test results. Other than that it will be a typical day of errands and chores. It's going to be a chilly day, we're expecting a mix of rain and snow. Hopefully I'll be back home before that starts. That's about it for me.
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
Glad to hear you found a place to have the engagement party. Hope your doc apt goes well & you have a wonderful day! Give Maggie a hug from me 'n Gracie!

Good Tuesday morning! David is back at work this morning, he got the ok from the doctor but he has another appointment in two weeks. The doctor is surprised at how quickly he seems to have healed, he says those types of injuries usually take 4-5 months. I do hope David does take it easy at work, he's the type to go all out and I don't want him to re-injure his shoulder. I'm working the afternoon/evening shift so I'm taking care of a few things for work and preparing supper. I have to go in for the oil change on our car too. Hope everyone will have a great day!
That is great news about David. I hope he behaves himself & doesn't re-injure himself. xx Have a great day martine.

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

As a public accountant, Nancy is busy with tax season, so I took Elizabeth to dance last night. While she was dancing, I made a trip to WalMart, then I hung out at Krispy Kreme with a doughnut and a cup of coffee until it was time to pick her up. When she got in the car, she asked what smelled so good. It's just me! LOL

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
I have never been to a Krispy Kreme.
Have a great day Brad!! Hope Nancy's busy season goes well! xx

Happy Tuesday!!
My kids are getting out of school early due to the 1-3 inches of snow we are supposed to get and of course all activities are canceled which it is nice to have the night off.
I am hoping to squeeze in a work out before the snow starts, otherwise just work for me.
My house looks so bare without my tree up but oh well it will be back up before you know it.
Hard to believe this is the last day of January! Have a good day!
I can't deny that I'm a little jealous of the snow!! Stay safe & enjoy!

I am always hungry. I eat like 5-6 times a day at least. But I think it's because I run so it makes me hungry. And I knew you were an Oreo guy didn't realize a pepsi guy!
Oh yes, I have a sophisticated palate. Right now, I can't get away from SweetTart Hearts!

Good Morning Jason. As I am certain many of the MMC family have already welcomed you, please allow me to do the same. I had found this site a long time ago, but had not "officially" joined until last July. I am not huge into the world of social media and a lot of the stuff I use to read on Facebook had me shutting down my account in less than a month. But here it is so different. It is a community. It is a family. It is a caring, sharing group of people who hold the true spirit of Christmas in their hearts all year long (just like you). We celebrate the good times of each and try to help bear the burdens of those when times can be difficult.
I also have counted down over the years. In fact at my local place of employment, the people there are so use to it, that hardly a week will go by when someone does not ask me how long till Christmas?
That is also why of the hundreds of songs about Christmas and the season in general (which I listen to all year long), one of my all time favorites is the Andy Williams version of "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year."
Again, welcome and be sure to jump in now and then, we would love to hear from you...

Well, written. Special Post Series quality!

You can have the snow we're expecting this afternoon and tonight. It's gonna make it hard for me to get to an important appointment tomorrow! Will 3 to 6 inches do?
Sure - I will take that from you! Thanks! :) :snowball
Stay safe out there Merry!

Morning Edge. Our last day in the 40's will be today (at least for awhile). No precip in the near future, which is fine as I chopped out the ice in front of the driveway yesterday. My SuperBowl feast for this year will consist of BBQ wings (slow cooked beginning at noon on Sunday), shredded beef (slow-cooker) for tacos, sandwiches, nachos, etc... hot dogs, chips, popcorn and drinks.
Fare thee well January...
