Hard to believe January is ending, one that began when we were in the holidays, and now here we are, another month down and closer to Christmas 2017! I'm looking forward to the many milestones between now and then. Time sure does fly. Glad to spend it with good friends here at MMC!! See you in February!!

OK. Time for my end-of-the-month review of left over Christmas decorations in my neighborhood.

Here are the statistics:
We have exactly 100 houses in our immediate neighborhood. (How nice, for statistical purposes!)
Of those houses, 96 are occupied. (The other are either for sale or under construction/renovation.)
Of those 96 houses, 75 decorated for Christmas = 78.1%. (Pretty good proportion, I think!)
Of those 75 who decorated, 11 still have at least one decoration still up = 14.7%.
Gives me something to do on those otherwise boring Winter Walks.

(And Noodlenoggin thinks HE's obsessed. I've honed obsession to an art!)

Good morning MMC!
Merry Tuesday!
I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, the past few days have been busy. We ran around all weekend looking at places to have my daughters engagement party. She made a decision and we booked a date for the end of May. I kind of wish it could have been a bit sooner but that was the closest availability. Spring is such a busy time for parties. It will give us plenty of time to prepare. My daughter and her fiancée wanted to wait until the warmer weather anyway.
Not too much going on here today. I have an early doctor appointment to go over some test results. Other than that it will be a typical day of errands and chores. It's going to be a chilly day, we're expecting a mix of rain and snow. Hopefully I'll be back home before that starts. That's about it for me.

Thanks Martine. Yes, Home Health & PT were there yesterday. They were both disappointed at how quickly she declined when she was doing so well! She was supposed to be released from both PT & Home health today. Don't think that will happen now. I just think it has to be related to the Coumadin. She was looking stronger today than yesterday. HH mentioned a feeding tube....mom & we all say - NO! They also mentioned a Hospice consult - they may have something to make her more comfortable. BUT hopefully once the Coumadin is out of her system, things will improve again... xx She sees her heart doc on Thursday.

Very glad to hear that Merlin is ok! What kind of breed is he? He's built tough, that's for sure.

He is a domestic short hair. He was found on a street as a kitten, he had a split tongue from some sort of accident. The vet said at that time he would never be able to eat enough because of it and probably not live long. Here he is nearly 18 years old, he eats more than the younger cats.

Happy February MMC! Already turning the calendars huh? Pretty crazy that January is over already. People at work were saying yesterday how they can't believe January went that fast. We got a couple of inches of snow yesterday but not too much. The roads were ok driving home. Looks like we will see a nice day today (well for February). After that looks colder at the end of the week and maybe a little snow on Superbowl Sunday. Yes I am still talking about the Superbowl but fear not in 4-5 days it will be over and you can hear me mention something else! Have a great Wednesday MMC!

Okay, it is February and time to see you as well DoYouHear. A nice calm 23 degrees here in the mid-west. Still getting the home back into a somewhat "post Christmas" appearance. Wife and daughter were a little under the weather yesterday, so I took some time out to tend to their needs.
Not a whole lot more planned for the day, except to go and get Connie's gift for Valentine's Day (it arrived for pick-up yesterday).

Welcome to February Xmas. Same here with the decorations. I found that some of the outside inflatables were still slightly damp, so I had to rig them up in the garage to hang and dry yesterday. Good thing the wife did not have to drive her car...
Hopefully the rest will be completed today. Have a fun first day of the month...

What? Like the draft? lol. Morning there Edge and welcome to the Irish 1st Day of Spring. Otherwise known as February 1st. Good to hear that you only got little more than a dusting. I like it when we get snow, since that usually means less chance that we will have to deal with a water shortage in the Summer (only happened here once since I have lived here). But, I do prefer it on several days of 3" or less rather than a few days of 8" or more.
But it does beat a drought. Have a great day and week...
