Miserable for sure!! I thought I was going to get blown off the road when I took mom to grandparents day at the school earlier.

This will startle you: We not only have a landline---we have a copper landline. On the advice of a friend of ours (a longtime phone company employee) we're keeping our copper until we absolutely have to go to fiber-optic.

Our house has no phone lines at all anywhere inside. It dawned on me one day and I started looking..I couldnt even find a box on the side of the house or the basement.

The NHS ceremony was great. Everything went smoothly and then we went to eat lunch at Olive Garden. If was a nice break from the regular school day. I am certainly glad it is over though. All of the planning and setting up can get stressful. Tomorrow (Friday) is the state testing for my subject areas, American History and Government. Then the weekend and only three days of school next week. After that, the rest of the school year will fly!

A quick pop in tonight again, I finally finished up a project I have been working on all week. I am hoping to get caught up over the weekend, since we have a Black Wolves game tomorrow night. (Friday) No guarantee I can even make it in here tomorrow.

Morning! TGIF! Another weekend is approaching and already we will be a week away from Easter. Next Friday I'm off (I took it off for a 3 day weekend) and that will definitely be fun to look forward to. For this weekend I'm hoping it's a little more low key than last weekend was. That's the plan at least. Going to order pizza tonight. Rollins woke me up at 1AM wanting to "play." Catching up on some sleep that I didn't get as much as normal this week might be a weekend plan too...if he allows it. And the weather is supposed to be beautiful here this weekend. Finally a nice spring weekend. Have a great Friday!

I almost forgot about our short week next week. Our business is closed for Good Friday. I sure hope for a nice weather weekend for Easter!! Have a great day Edge!

It's hard to believe we have nearly completed a full week of the new month!

But there are other things that are hard to believe, as well.

The 200-day Season Window is now under 3 weeks off!
(It's starting to get exciting as we approach our once-a-year BACK TO BACK markers!)


Rain yesterday morning was supplanted in the afternoon by strong winds. We were placed under a tornado watch all morning up until 1:00 PM, but not much developed.
Chillier temps with more wind is predicted for today but no rain or tornado issues.
Currently, we have begun our Weekend Eve here in central NC at 48 degrees.

Had a blast at the concert last night! Moving a little slow this morning but I don't have too much going on. I'm just going to run a couple of quick errands and work on the laundry. Giving myself a break tonight and ordering pizza for dinner. That's about it.

Good morning MMC!! Merry Friday! YAY!!! Thankfully there's no snow on the ground, but we woke up to a chilly 33º! We have a frost advisory for tomorrow morning!! Go figure - this will be my 1st night staying at the lake! Ah well, the lake is pretty on a frosty morning! BUT hopefully that's the last one until late October!!! At least this morning we are seeing a little sunshine - it comes & goes!

Anybody have fun plans for the weekend? Grace & I will head to the lake this afternoon & spend the night & most of tomorrow. Jim will meet us there after he gets off work tonight. We have a friends son & future daughter in laws bachelor/bachelorette party tomorrow night at our friends house - in their building out back. Should be a good time. They have a DJ, they're supplying food & it's BYOB kind of thing. Hopefully the weather is good. Sunday as long as nothing comes up (xx) I'm sure we'll be back at the lake.

Sounds like a fun weekend!! We are going out tomm night for hibachi for my oldster daughter's birthday, that was on Christmas but with crazy schedules we have not had time to celebrate! So we are taking her and 3 of her friends and then they are sleeping over!

Happy Friday, MMC!! Finally some sun,,,I can't tell you how much seeing sun boosts my energy levels! Just work for me today. Not too much going on tonight. Tomorrow we are taking my oldest daughter and her 2 of her friends out for hibachi to celebrate her birthday from Christmas...lol Her sports schedules have been crazy so there never seems to be a free weekend and they are sleeping over too. Then Sunday no plans at all...def plan on relaxing! Next week my kids are on spring break so I took next Fri off and they may go to my in-law's for a night too.

TGIF, Christmas friends!

It's another beautiful morning, cool and sunny. The wind, however, returns this afternoon. I worked on washing the house yesterday afternoon, but the wind fought with me till dark. I need to finish this weekend.

Elizabeth's prom is tonight, and she's pretty excited. I want her to have a good time, but I don't intend to let her start dating at 16. This prom is a group of friends going together, the meal is catered at the school, and the school is two blocks away. I've made it clear that there's no reason to leave Bellville city limits. She said she understands. And I know the boy, he's a nice guy. But I also know what nice guys are thinking, too.

Anyway, last night Nancy & her sister took Elizabeth and her friends to get their nails done, pick up the dresses from alteration, and to dinner. This afternoon, they're all getting their hair done.

This prom is going to break my bank. There goes my new pressure washer budget! LOL

Got a text at 6am this morning that my niece was sick and my sister was running late so could I come get her and babysit today. Luckily I had already been up and chatting with Snowflake so I wasn't to groggy trying to get dressed and get out there. Of course Ella had to come along too. I'm ready to take both of them back home too. 3pm can't get here soon enough. Lol!!!
