Christmas Countdown - 2017

Greetings on this delightful if not somewhat damp Tuesday my MMC friends. Time to put away all the heavy blankets and comforters. And what does that mean? I was at the laundromat around 3AM getting them cleaned up for storage. Just too big for our machine at home. But on the positive side, it should help me get ready for my afternoon sleep and the start of another work week. This one will be short, since I will be helping out the Zoo this Saturday. Looking forward to it. Got a lot of the yard raked up yesterday, so today's showers will but that on hold till later in the week.
So what do you do when the rain starts falling? Here's one answer...

I have to do the same thing with our winter comforter. I can wash the kids comforters in our washer but our is just way to big. No rain here today, we are expecting rain late this week and half the weekend.

Glad to hear you had a good Easter weekend!! Hope your Monday is going well too!

Our Easter was very nice. On a sad note, my uncle (Moms brother) passed away yesterday. We grew up next door to their family. He was 96 years old. What a good long life, but darn! Still stinks!

Good afternoon .. Back to work today and the kids went back to school. On my lunch break now. It's been nice having the heater off and the windows opened during the day but I have a feeling we will have to turn the heater back on by the end of the week as it's suppose to get chiller and they are calling for rain. Now that Easter is over my thoughts will be drifting more towards CIJ!! Hope everyone has a great day!

Merry Tuesday!
It's going to be mostly sunny with a high of 60 degrees. I'm going to run to Target today to pick up a few things. I'll have to check out the Easter candy clearance as well. My youngest loved the strawberry Peeps this year, I hope they still have them. Not too much else going on here, I'll just be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy and broccoli with garlic & olive oil. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

Some early evening rain yesterday capped off an otherwise excellent mid-April day here. The temps are just right, in the 70's, and while pollen remains a factor, it has noticeably lessened. And still the low humidity, which can make all the difference.
We could get some more rain today and we have begun this second day of the work week somewhat overcast, at 65 degrees here in central NC.

I hope the 1st day back to work after break is going well for all of you! I had to turn my heater on for a bit this morning. Was chilly in here. But now the windows are open. I'm actually cleaning windows today - great day for it! I'm looking forward to CIJ too! Always fun!

Afternoon MMC!! Been a bit on the cold side today and still cant kick the cough from this cold. Anybody ever notice that once you dye eggs for Easter they become impossible to peel? I tried to peel one today at lunch...and you honestly would have starved to death before you got the shell off..lol
Edit...My buddy sent me a link to a Easter egg peeling video. Place egg from fridge under hot water for 30 seconds, crack shell and peel it in a bowl of warm water. It worked perfectly on the 1st egg!! Only 23 more to go

Happy Tuesday HMG. Highs here will also be in the 60's, but with a little of the wet stuff gracing the ground. Should make for some nice sleeping weather this afternoon. My better half said she will be making a ground beef casserole for dinner tonight, so I went out yesterday and got the supplies. Not much else new. Have a memorable day...
