And this is a special day.
It's a Milestone Day!

First, our numbers:
Days to the Season: 201
Days to Christmas Day: 243

Now, the exciting and shocking Milestone details:
As of this very day, we have completed the entire FIRST THIRD of our journey back to Christmas!

Ah, but I'm afraid you can't relax yet, little voice.
<< Why not? >>
Because there is ANOTHER MILESTONE DAY TOMORROW!!
<< Whaaa?? >>
That's right. Back-to-Back markers. It only happens once a year.
And only right here at MMC!


At last the relentless rain abated by yesterday afternoon. But not before my beloved Crabtree Valley Mall was flooded and closed down!
(Not to worry, though. This has happened before. They are used to it, and will be back up and running again later today.)
Today should be warm (near 80) and DRY!! We see 60 degrees recorded here at this hour.


Well, once again it is mid-week and open house Wednesday at the 'Pines.
Spring is really swinging at our resort of choice and Carl has developed what he refers to as "seasonal blends". Hmmmm. Wonder what "blends" would be seasonal for Spring?
(Only one way to find out, you know.)

So, until I see you all there this evening, have a Wildly Wonderful Wednesday, Folks.

Good morning MMC!!! Merry Pines Day!!!! What a beautiful Pines Day it's going to be, with sunshine & 83º! Getting spoiled!! But it's too nice to be sitting inside an office. LOL

Just work for me today. I have to bring Gracie to the beauty parlor at lunch, then run home to the let the 2 neighbors dogs out - Hazel & Gretta. One lives across the street, the other is next door, so it will be a busy lunch. Hoping to hang some laundry on the line too. Wish me luck!

Hard to believe but when we finish the 2nd 3rd we will be about to enter the Bers!

The Menards is Chicago has what we want. That is a bit of a drive though.

I am sure we will find something. We may have to go with something lower to the ground than we originally planned, but we will see. We still have to get the area setup and ready, so there is time.

We have several things we want to do to the backyard this summer, but some of it may have to wait another year.

Awe bummer. Can you do "ship to store"? A lot of items Menards will ship to your local store for free. Good luck!!!

A late night here, got home late from inventory, winding down now. Another late one ahead for tomorrow as I get prepared for the second inventory of the week.
JP broke his toe tripping over the dog, so he can't play lacrosse for at least the next 2 weeks, I feel bad for him, he was really beginning to get a feel for the game and playing really well.

I should probably head to bed.

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

The Great Driver's License Search saga continues today. After making our appointment through Atlanta, we were supposed to be there at 4:40 yesterday. When we got there, we were told that our appointment was for 4:40 on Wednesday. We told her that it was for 4:40 on Tuesday. She said no, there was another appointment for Tuesday at 4:40, but the person never shoed up. BECAUSE IT WAS US! She refused to help us until the next day, so we're going back today. Grrrr. The Georgia DMV is run entirely by people who have no interest in helping you!

Elizabeth and I cooked until 9:30 last night for a class today. It's an Italian soup for a history class, and it had to be made from scratch. It looked good, but I won't get taste it, doggone.

She's in the Spelling Bee this morning, so I'll be away for a couple hours.

And more awwws from me, they are so beautiful. Brandy has such a kind face. And when I awed Loki looked up at the tv, because he's learned that when I awww it's usually because there's a cute animal on tv and he's ready to get excited and bark at it. I never noticed it until David pointed it out to me last week. Hope the puppies and Brandy are well. Love tiny puppies.

Well in that case - this is sure to get an AWE from you & Loki looking at the tv.

(Look at Brandy's eyes, looking at my niece like "WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY PUPPY??")

Our family had some from the 1950s. They were thrown out by the woman who embezzled my dad's estate. A number of family items of sentimental value disappeared the same way. It still hurts. I have Radko repros similar to the ones that were lost, but they're not the same as having the ones I grew up with and cherished.

Morning MMC! The last Pines Day of April has arrived. Yesterday was another crazy day at work. I like being busy but I don't need it to be overly crazy. Today I'm going to go to Applebee's for dinner so that's something to look forward to if things do get crazy for a 3rd day in a row. More rain here this morning (what else is new). Seems like this spring we get 1-2 nice days and then 3-4 cloudy/rainy ones. Have a good Wednesday as we wind down April!

It's going to be cloudy with scattered showers today, highs in the lower 60's. Not too much going on here. I have a couple of quick errands to run, then I'll be heading back home to fry up some meatballs and get a pot of sauce started. It's spaghetti night. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Dinner sounds delicious! I think we are going to have "Hot Dog Skillet Supper" only I used smoked sausage with cheese instead of hot dogs! Also a pasta dish!
