Christmas Countdown - 2017

Morning MMC 5 and 10 day! Well it's 5-10 and I remember that store when I was a kid. It's cool out again as usual but it's going to be a nice afternoon with the sun coming out at least. The weekend ahead looks chilly and rainy. Well another work day and hopefully a good one. Been a busy week so far which is a good thing. Have a great day!

Good morning MMC!!! Merry Pines Day!!! What a beautiful morning!! We have bright sunshine with a high of 73º predicted!! So excited for that!!! We are in the mid 50's at the moment. Love it!

Not much going on today except work. I brought Emma shopping last night for our Haystack meal she's making for us next week. It takes a lot of ingredients to feed 25 people! We had a lot of fun picking it all up!

Planning our move this summer. After a lifetime in California we are preparing to move our lives to Idaho. Looking forward to Christmas in our new home,, saddened by the fact that one of my ducklings will not be joining us,, but still, nonetheless, excited about the newness and the exploring of our new surroundings! xoxo

Good Wednesday morning! I am working the afternoon/evening shift so right now, as per my physiotherapist, I'm icing my Achille's tendon while Loki sleeps on my lap. I do have some chores to do this morning though and I have to bring a pair of pants to a seamstress for some loose stitches. I tried sewing it back up and failed. I'm good at replacing buttons though.

I had a Christmas-related dream last night: trying to get organized at work for phase 1 of our Christmas launch. In retail, it will be there before we know it.

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

I finally got the lawn mowed again yesterday. I know the neighbors were looking at me sideways, wondering if I was ever going to do that LOL.

Before I got started on the mower, I was in the house changing clothes when Lulu popped her head up with her ears raised. I heard something, too, but I thought it must be kids playing nearby. Then it started to sound more like screaming, so I ran out side. It was a dog in my neighbor's yard, but I couldn't tell what was happening because of the fence between us. I knew they weren't home, so I ran over there to find their Brittany Spaniel hanging by her neck from the top of kennel gate. She tried to climb out (it's 7 ft. tall!), but could only get her head through. By the time I got there, she was almost unconscious. I got her down and she was obviously appreciative, bless her heart.

I told the neighbor about it this morning. He said he's seen her try to climb the fence, but was sure she couldn't get to the top. He assured me he would take extra measures to see that this didn't happen again. Whew!

Such a scary story. So glad you could help her in time. My boss' puppy (a cross between a fox terrier and schnauzer) climbs his fence. He's a trouble maker that little one but so cute.

We are stuck in a cool, somewhat damp rut here with the occasional sprinkle, and have not seen the 70 degree mark for several days. All that will change today, and we are supposed to reach the low 80's by this afternoon.
Things have again started off a bit coolish this morning at 59 degrees here in our part of MMC.


Well, it's mid-week once again and the 'Pines is ready for the usual open house, including the usual fired twinkie and the usual glass of iced tea, both presented at the door by the usual Carl or one of his usual trusted staff.

Oh my gosh Brad! How lucky you were there!! I bet the puppy was EXTRA glad to see you! Such pretty dogs!!! Could have ended much differently. Kudo's to Brad!!!

Good morning made! Our farmers have the same issue as your farmers! A lot of ours had part of their fields in already, before all the rain! There will more than likely be some re-planting going on if it ever dries out. The rain isn't supposed to start until late tonight here, but the sun sure didn't stick around long this morning!
