Good Morning once again, MMC Citizens.
And as good citizens, we assume our civic duty to follow the count and note our important Milestone markers.

Step one is the count itself:
Days to the Season: 186
Days to Christmas Day: 228

Step two: Check out the Milestone Marker chart to determine the identity of our next point of interest. And at this point in the year, the HALF WAY point to the Season is our next marker.

Step three: Determine the distance to that Milestone which, as of today, is FOUR days away. Barely over half a week off!

Now, having done our duty, we turn to the weather.
Ours had been coolish for May up until yesterday, when we suddenly shot up into the 80's. The humidity remains low, fortunately, and it was really rather comfortable.
This morning, we take note of a temperature reading of 66 degrees to start this day before Weekend Eve. Thunderstorms are a possibility this afternoon.

And our single most important duty of all?
Well, it's to have a Thrilling Thursday, of course.
(But you already knew that, didn't you?)

Thanks Crown! Getting closer and closer to that halfway marker!

********** TRAVEL ALERT!! **********

I should have phrased that ********** MAJOR TRAVEL ALERT! **********

Yes, it's that time of the year when the Crowns travel to Florida to visit relatives for a week.
And that in turn, means a dedicated volunteer, with time on his/her hands, will be needed as a guest counter!
The time period is for this Sunday, May 14 through Saturday, May 20.

First come first, first accepted! (Or it could be done as a team effort if one person can't take the whole period. I think it worked out that way at least once before.)

We are looking forward to our trip.
There are two remaining members of my parents' generation left living, an aunt on my mother's side who is 95, and a cousin who will be 94 in July. Both live near each other in central Florida.

Thanks in advance to whoever steps forward!

Good morning MMC
Merry Thursday ~
My husband and I are celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary today. My goodness, the years are going by much too fast. We'll be going out for dinner later this evening to celebrate.
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day <3
Happy Anniversary, HmG! :)

Happy Thursday MMC! We had a really nice day yesterday but still cool for May. Today looks the same. The weekend looks rainy and chilly. Next week finally they are saying temps will get well into the 70s with sunshine. Something to look forward to. Anyone with any Mother's Day plans yet? Have a great day, aka Friday Eve!
We still juggle time between Nancy's mom and my mom, trying to rotate lunch & dinner year to year. Such a hard thing to keep up with!

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

I finally got the lawn mowed again yesterday. I know the neighbors were looking at me sideways, wondering if I was ever going to do that LOL.

Before I got started on the mower, I was in the house changing clothes when Lulu popped her head up with her ears raised. I heard something, too, but I thought it must be kids playing nearby. Then it started to sound more like screaming, so I ran out side. It was a dog in my neighbor's yard, but I couldn't tell what was happening because of the fence between us. I knew they weren't home, so I ran over there to find their Brittany Spaniel hanging by her neck from the top of kennel gate. She tried to climb out (it's 7 ft. tall!), but could only get her head through. By the time I got there, she was almost unconscious. I got her down and she was obviously appreciative, bless her heart.

I told the neighbor about it this morning. He said he's seen her try to climb the fence, but was sure she couldn't get to the top. He assured me he would take extra measures to see that this didn't happen again. Whew!

I hope y'all have a great day! :)

Congratulations on the great rescue!!! Poor doggie! Glad you were there!

Happy Anniversary!!! Hope you have a great day!

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

I was too full to make it to the Pines last night. My father-in-law sells a hand-made burger at his store called a Bernie Burger, and it's almost more than I eat. Boy, it's good!

It's supposed to be dry and mid-90's today. I think the pool needs vacuuming again...from the inside!:D

I hope y'all have a great day! :)

Happy Friday Eve, Edge! Hope you have a good day!
I am not sure what the plans are for Mother's Day. My Mom passed away 5 years ago and I actually called me MIL to see what/if she wanted to do anything on Sunday but have not heard back from her. Honestly, I would be fine staying home and having a nice dinner since I saw the weather does not look too great at all.

Good morning MMC!! Merry Friday Eve! I'm late getting here today! It's been a dreary/drizzly/chilly morning!! Yesterday's 80º spoiled us!!!

Boss had some computer issues this morning, which is always a treat! Other than that, not much going on around here today!

Last night I made Chow Mein Noodle Candy, Peanut Butter Haystacks, & Choc. PB Haystacks for the wedding. This was a last minute decision as my sister was worrying we didn't have enough. Now with all the cookies, mini pineapple upside down cakes, cupcakes, Oreo Balls (which Emma helped me dip last night) & cupcakes, we will have over 900 pieces of sweets to choose from. I say when they are gone, they are gone! I'm not making anymore! LOL! ;)

Everyone, have a great day!!!

Good morning Edge! No major Mothers Day plans for us. We'll be spending the night after the wedding, so til we get checked out of the hotel, drive home, get Gracie at the lake & visit with lake peeps...we'll see what time it gets to be! My brother/sil will be home from MA & staying with Mom so I'm sure we'll pop in there - I'm sure they will order pizza for whoever is there at supper time. My in-laws, hard telling if they will be around to go visit or not! LOL! I still have to get both Moms hanging baskets. This darn weather hasn't been good for flower shopping! :( I also need to make a Swiss Roll Cake for the Haystacks party on Monday! EEK! Busy day! LOL
Have a good Thursday!
