Christmas Countdown - 2017

Hello everyone and Happy 4th of July!!

My fourth started out on the roof. I needed to clean the dryer vent and cut some tree limbs away from the house and chimney. It is HOT outside today!!! Then I came back in to clean the vent from that side and clean the utility room up. Our cheap dryer finally died the other day and the new one is being delivered today.

Now back to ComicCon costume making. This evening we will head out for fireworks.(actually my least favorite part of the holiday) Henry loves the fireworks and our town does a pretty good show.

Hello everyone and Happy Independence Day. My best girl of fifty years along with our daughters family attended the Arbutus Maryland parade. It was a great small town affair with police and fire, local politicians, bands, floats etc. The best was saved for last as the parade closed with Santa clad in a Hawaiian shirt and red overalls in a sleigh atop a flatbed. The reception given Santa can only be described as thunderous. The man brought a lot of joy to the happy revelers (myself included).

Happy Pines Day! Well yesterday was quite busy for the 4th. We had a good time though and the BBQ and fireworks were great as always. My brother is heading to Canada today but will return Sunday. Till then I'm going to try to get some rest ha. Got to bed late again last night but every year the 4th that's how it goes. I'm up and ready to go to work. Hope everyone has a great day today. Next holiday: The Bers Labor Day.

Good morning friends. The 4th is over and everyone had a great time. Although I have to admit, I was exhausted after the day's events. I'm really glad we could celebrate our nation's birthday with family and neighbors, but working all three days of my three-day beak was not quite what I envisioned. Still have to finish cleaning up this morning and then get ready for the next four days back at work.
I hope everyone else had a fun time and appreciate the well wishes from all our MMC members in different countries. I guess I never really though about this, but do you guys have a similar day during the year for your homelands and if so, when are they and what are they referred to?

Good Morning, Post-Fourth Friends!
I hope everyone enjoyed Independence Day yesterday.

And, as of today, we are also post-double-digits.
By that, I mean that we are now SINGLE DIGITS away from our next Milestone marker!

Days to the Season: 131
Days to Christmas Day: 173

The new magic number is NINE, as in 9, as in single digits.
And the marker we are 9 days away from?
Why, the TWO-THIRDS point to Christmas Season 2017.
(How about them apples, now!)


A bit more rain yesterday afternoon, then a hard one overnight. Otherwise, it was clear and fairly warm/humid for the fourth, here.
This morning is somewhat cloudy but rain does not appear imminent.
We have commenced our mid-week here at 76 degrees.

Remember, no 'Pines Day this evening, as that was moved back to yesterday to coincide with Independence Day.
(And weren't those fireworks fantastic last night! Although the one that was supposed to look like a camel more closely resembled a horse to me. What do you guys think?)

Good Morning All...I am tired today. We went to the beach and then had a cookout and got home later than I expected but that is ok. I had a cup of coffee and will make it through the day! My daughter has a softball game tonight and I am hoping to get a work out in today. Hope you all have a great day!

The four-day July Fourth weekend just flew ... I miss it! Next holiday up is Labor Day.

Good morning all.

The local fireworks show was not as good as it has been in the past, but still decent and the weather was perfect. Henry had a lot of fun. Of course a group of teenagers sat near us and they were loud and obnoxious. I am used to teenagers, I mean I teach high school, but these folks were something else. It was mostly the girls of the group who were outright being rude and lacking in common courtesy. The guys tried to be nice and get the girls to calm down, but to no avail. I am pretty sure I lost some IQ points while sitting there. Oh well.... Maybe I am just getting old.

Back to getting costumes ready. We leave tomorrow and still have quite a bit to get down.

Good Wednesday morning! A gorgeous, perfect hot Summer day today. People are out working on their yards. love the sweet smell of fresh cut grass. I'm heading out for a yearly doctor's visit and then I have some laundry to do. Hope everyone will enjoy a fantastic day!

Happy Friday and Happy CIJ Eve!!! Hoping to catch some QVC CIJ shows and come CIJ movies this weekend. My daughter and I are going to redo her bedroom tonight and tomorrow. We bought paint last night and I ordered her a new bedding set last month. She wanted a more grown up teen room now that is growing out of the pink/purple phase.

I start my vacation at 4 today but between school physicals and projects at home I will be busy ... I may need a vacation from my vacation LOL. Hope everyone has a great day and stay safe if you are traveling.

Good, uh, Wednesday? morning, Christmas friends!

That four-day weekend has messed up my internal clock AND calendar, but it was nice. It was also especially hot. I got a lot of work done, though, and we grilled all weekend, so that was nice. I spent yesterday afternoon in the pool with Elizabeth, Nancy, our niece and her boys. We had a great time! Then we went to watch the local fireworks.

Merry Morning everyone!!

How are you guys doing??

Well its been a manic couple of weeks. I am happy and relieved to report that we have now moved house !!!! We moved on the 22nd as planned. It was an extremely stressful time leading up to the day and it didn't go all that smoothly on the day. Removals van turned up late etc. However I just want to leave it all behind now and move forward.

The house is massive compared to our last. It needs fully redecorating but I am looking forward to this. The neighbourhood is beautiful and neighbours are friendly. The garden is really lovely too!

I am so happy that it is over. We did it!!

I hope to catch up with you guys more now.

Happy 4th of July, MMC!!! After driving home and then sleeping most of today, I can't sleep tonight. Ugh. I had a fun trip though!! Snowflake is doing well and sends her regards to everyone!! I don't know how she keeps going. One walk with Harlowe and I was ready for a nap. She does that before breakfast. Lol!! I hope everyone has a great holiday!!
