HMG- Your daughters wedding sounds like it's going to be beautiful!!
Thanks Crown! Enjoy the middle day of August!Good Morning, MMC Residents!
The latest numbers.
They are here.
Along with the latest news on our next Milestone.
Days to the Season: 89
Days to Christmas Day: 131
Well, Folks. Believe it or not, we are already down to SINGLE DIGITS to our next Milestone marker, the TWO-THIRDS point to Christmas Day 2017.
Yep. Just 9 days away, now. Will wonders never cease?
(I hope not!)
It was just about as humid (96 percent) yesterday as I have ever felt it.
(If the air could be twisted, I could have wrung a glass of water out of it easily.)
Today?
Relief, at "only" 72 percent humidity. But coupled with an air temperature of 91, it's not going to be too pleasant.
Right now, we are already drip-damp, with an opening temperature reading of 75 degrees here in the capital city.
Carl? Well, he's not the least bit worried about the H&H.
The inn's A/C is cranked up, there's plenty of sweet southern iced tea (emphasis placed on the "iced") and the pool is cool. (So is the entertaiment).
Hope to see as many of you there as possible.
In the meantime, you have a Wonderful Wednesday, Friends!
Thanks HMG...I just saw your post about your daughter's wedding venue. Sounds beautiful! So exciting!Glad you had a nice vacation SnowflakeMom, welcome back!!!
Thanks, Crown...time is flying by!Good Morning, MMC Residents!

We have cable internet as well as a bundle package, we never have any issues with ours..(knock on wood)!Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!
I'm agonizing over whether or not to trade my home DSL for cable internet. The new cable company offers TV, internet and phone service with new underground fiber-optic cable, and free installation. The price is about the same as I pay now for Dish Network TV and Bellsouth phone & internet, but they offer internet that is twice as fast. I'm not always big on change, though. What I have works, but this should work better. Should. That's what worries me. Ugh.
Anyway, it's beautiful outside this morning! I hope y'all have a great day!

Cable Internet service that's slower than DSL? That doesn't sound right.Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

What a wonderful thing that anonymous donour does! I am in awe at the kindness of some strangers. I'm in awe that Gracie stays put while receiving acupuncture too, such a good girl. Hope the change in medicine helps with the diarrhea, and I hear probiotics are always a good thing for the digestive system. Have a great day Holiday!Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!
We had another interesting appointment last night with Gracie. He said the diarrhea comes from the medicine. He had her on Yang which was something to support kidneys & the spleen. He thinks her kidneys are functioning well enough now that she does not need all that and it could be causing the diarrhea. So we discontinued that and he put her on another herb that supports only the spleen. He said both her kidneys and spleen feel stronger every time she comes in but the spleen still needs more support.
He said the prescription medicine she was on has her stomach so messed up – he wants me to discontinue one of her prescription meds (amlodapine) from our other vet, which makes me nervous – but I guess we have to trust him. Obviously things weren't working right when she was on them! Both Jim and I feel she would not be with us anymore if we had never gone to see this doctor. He also put her on a new probiotic which has herbs that help promote digestive health.
Something really cool happened when I went to pay…there's an anonymous donor from the Toledo area who every time he comes in donates $1000 to be used towards other people who have been making a lot of visits - they allocate the money to frequent visitors and today we had a $200 credit on our account!!How cool is that!? We will definitely be leaving him a thank you note and paying his kindness forward! WOW!!!! ♥
As of now she still has not eaten her food other than the rice with chicken to get some medicine in her. She had diarrhea twice overnight. He said it could take 24-48 hours for that to be corrected.
One of the vet techs was talking Christmas and she told me there was only 132 days to go! (Believe it or not she brought it up)So we had a conversation about Christmas while Grace had the needles in her. It was fun! We also talked fall & pumpkin spice and autumn smells…
We went to the Legion for a drink for Jims birthday last night. Tonight we'll be going out to eat with friends. 1st I could use a nap!
Everyone, have a great day!!!
