Morning MMC and TGIF! Off to work I go for the last day of the work week. Anyone believe this...this is the last Friday before the Bers. It's nice out and should be today again like yesterday. We expect partly sunny skies with highs in the upper 70s. Watching that storm head towards the south. Hope everyone near that area is safe. Have a great TGIF!

Merry Friday !!
Hope you guys have made it through the week and ready for the weekend. It's a three day weekend here. I believe it is in the US too? This holiday always feels like an official end to the summer even though the transition will be a bit longer. Usually the kids start school just after the holiday but this year they don't start till the following week. That's when it will really feel like summer is over.

Not much planned today. We may go to the shops, park and grab some lunch with the kids. Game night later. I am also off for the entire weekend : ) Yes!!

Have a great day my festive friends.

Love 3-day weekends. Just like Edge, ours is next weekend as well for Labour Day. Have a great one with the family!

********** MILESTONE DAY **********

Good Morning, my Friends.

And there you have it. TWO thirds of our trip back to Christmas completed with only ONE more third to go.
And we got here so fast.
Scary!

Days to the Season: 80
Days to Christmas Day: 122

Now, let me warn you a day ahead. Our NEXT Milestone is a big one.
(But details on that will just have to wait until tomorrow.)

We did get some of the promised relief from the H&H rut, and mowing the lawn yesterday evening was more comfortable than it might otherwise have been.
Today will see more pleasant conditions continue and we have started it at 72 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Folks!
Enjoy your Weekend Eve.

Happy Friday and Milestone day! Hard to believe in 4 months it will be Christmas day!! Just work for me today and my youngest daughter has a b-day/sleepover party tonight. I think my oldest daughter and I are going to go out to dinner and finish up getting some school supplies. My FIL is coming this weekend so tomorrow night we are doing a surf/turf night. Hope you all have a great day/weekend!

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday!! Merry Rudolph Day! I can't believe we only have 4 months until Christmas. I think it really hit me today. WOW!!! SO exciting!

I saw my neighbor lady out walking this morning - she had a sweatshirt & long pants on. It is still August, right?? It was chilly out there this morning. It's supposed to get down to 48º again tonight!

My sisters, Mom, Dena & I had such a great time last night. What a neat, neat place! We snuggled up close to the fire. Built our own pizza & stuck it in the oven. We had the place to ourselves. So nice & peaceful...and lots of laughs too! :D

I went to see Gracie after work. She was in the middle of acupuncture so she had to lay still. I was able to bring her outside & she just kind of starred. I got her to walk around the building & go potty. She did chase a bird. LOL! But she wasn't very active. Jim went awhile after me & she jumped up & gave him several kisses. Doc said that's something he hadn't seen before. HA!! Jim said she did not want him to leave. And she ate a little bit while he was there. He said she definitely had more energy. So I guess we'll see what today brings. The plan is for me to pick her up this afternoon whenever they have her ready to go. Hopefully her levels are more evened out today & she'll continue to improve! xx

Does anybody have big plans to celebrate Rudolph Day? Bringing Gracie home would be my best way to celebrate! Hopefully we'll watch some Christmas shows at the lake tonight! :)

Everyone, have a wonderful Rudolph Day!!! (Does it get much better than a Friday Rudolph Day?? ;))

Well, I enjoy reading everyone's updates, so I guess I'll add my own. Last weekend, my only daughter tied the knot and is currently on her honeymoon. This Sunday, my son (our third of six children) is marrying his sweetheart. Last evening, we moved our son's belongings from our house to the new apartment. Today, we move our soon to be daughter's stuff to their apartment as well. Tomorrow, I pick up the honeymooners in time to head to the rehearsal. Sunday is the big day! Then, we all breathe a huge sigh of relief.

We have called these past few months, "The Summer of Nuptials." I'll be happy not to talk about family weddings for a while!

Do you guys still get Cracker Jacks popcorn with the prizes inside! My brother and I loved those as kids. The prizes were always so good!! I still remember an elephant on a tricycle prize I got once. When pushed, it wobbled forward and backward. Loved it :)

Yes, you can still get Cracker Jack, but the "prizes" have been real duds for many years now: temporary tattoos, stickers---real junk! So save that elephant if you still have him!

Merry Friday !!

Labor Day is Sept. 4 this year, so next weekend is the holiday weekend here.
School starts next week around here, though. (That means the commute is going to get messier and longer starting next week ... o_O )

Glad to hear that Gracie had more energy when Jim stopped by!! Praying she gets to come home today!!!

Lol...Merry my oldest boy just got a sticker in his last box!!
So disappointing---now you buy the Cracker Jack for the Cracker Jack instead of the prize!

When I was very little I loved the little "prizes" they had in gumball machines (we called them "trinkets"). I had a big collection of them, and I used to play with them. (Today they'd be considered a choking hazard!) Wish I had those back again!

I just looked the other day. If they dont have candy in the machines they are all stickers or some huge Superball.

Hello everyone. Sorry I've been away for while. Time keeps flying by. Our son is starting his senior year of college. He will graduate in May and is engaged to be married in June. Hard to believe this was his last summer at home. This coming Thanksgiving and Christmas will be the last ones with him living at home. My career is winding down and I plan to retire in June. The wife is 5 year younger than me so she still has a few years to go. Lots of changes.

Have a blessed day everyone.
Nice to see you mgramsey!! I can not believe your son is a senior in college! Seems like you just sent him off for his freshman year. YIKES, that really proves how time is flying! Congrats to him on his engagement! I hope she will fit in well with your family! And congrats to you on your upcoming retirement!!
Have a wonderful day!
