Good morning MMC!

Well after our lovely bank holiday Monday weather, things have turned a little cooler here, there is a autumn like feel in the air! The nights have also started drawing back in now!

I am enjoying my last couple of days off work before the madness starts again next week ( I manage school catering contracts )! After having 4 weeks off it will be nice to get back into a routine again!

Going to have my coffee and browse around the forums, have a great day everyone!

I'm starting to notice darkness by 8pm now. I'm not too crazy about that!!

Morning merry makers

Very chilly, dark and gloomy here this morning. Last night we were at about 8C.
Good thing they finish install our wood fire by today !!! Can't wait to try it tonight!!!

Happy Pines Day! Today we expect a mixture of sun & clouds with a high of 77. Looks like a pretty nice late August day. Hope Harvey finally leaves Texas because it's crazy looking at those videos of what's going on there. It's just another mid-week but can't believe less than 48 hours till the Bers. It's gone so fast this summer. Good wishes to Holiday in a tough time and hope the newbie is keeping you busy. Have a great day everyone!

I'm so very sorry, Holiday. I can't imagine how sad you are right now, but you helped her end the suffering. I know it was a horrible decision to make, but it sounds like it was the most loving gift you could have given her.

Lucy (or Stella ) is beautiful! I know she can't replace Gracie, but puppies are wonderful!

We decided to stick with Lucy ~ "Lucille Grace"! She already knows her name. The breeder must have called them by name a lot. She was at my Moms last night & my family was all calling her Lucy so I guess Lucy it is. She does kind of seem like a Lucy!
She is a funny girl!

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

I've been up for a couple hours; I don't sleep well in hotels, especially without Nancy. We finished our last Tuesday meeting about 3pm, which gave me 2 hours to put together a very, VERY large quote for a new project. It was due at 5pm, and I clicked SEND at 4:57. Whew! Not easy to do on this small laptop keyboard LOL.

We have another meeting this morning at 10:30, then lunch with 14 engineers...then IT'S BACK TO BELLVILLE!

** TRAVEL ALERT **

OK. Labor Day looms.
And the Crowns are off to the cottage for the extended weekend and to clean up after another rental season.
I will post the daily count this Friday morning, but then a volunteer (or volunteers) will be needed for Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings (Sept 2-4).

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!! We had FOG this morning! Schools were closed or delayed. Crazy! I guess it's that time of year! Lucy had never seen fog before!

The Amish Haystacks at Moms last night were delicious, as well as the homemade ice cream! YUM! I went home to get Lucy to meet the family but before I got out, there was a doggie party in the neighbors yard. Lucy got to meet 5 of the neighbor dogs. They had a blast. Then she got to meet the family. She was wiped out!.

I don't really make my peace with that early-dark situation until the Halloween season!

Labor Day weekend ribs are on the menu. Just placed a emergency order with the butcher shop and they gave me a buy 2 racks get 2 free deal. Looks like it will be a smoking marathon this weekend..lol Now I inform my neighbor on it, so everyone else will get the menu.

Morning! Feels like ages since I saw you. Definteley an autumnal feel in the air but just when you settle into it suddenly there might be a heatwave in October or something lol British weather!
Hope you are well. Good luck going back out to work. My kids start back next week so it will be back to routine again!

the colder months are almost here. Only 2 days until the BER months start!

Top of the Morning to you Skippy. I always watch those two or three minutes we lose each day after June 21st to see when there is a real change and yes, it is coming. There are times though that I honestly enjoy being up even before the birds, so I can hear them waking up to a new day. Come on Fall...
