Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good Morning, All.

Our next Milestone marker is rushing up so fast and close, I'm fearing a collision!

Today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 61
Days to Christmas Day: 103

And impact is imminent, as we find ourselves just THREE days away from the 100-day Christmas Day Window, now UNDER HALF A WEEK away.

We had one final cool rainy day yesterday, with our highs not out of the 60's as the last of Irma passed harmlessly by to our west.
Today will see a return of our temporarily suspended summer, with highs back in the 80's and plenty of sun.
We have commenced things here in central North Carolina with a temperature reading of 63 degrees.


Well, it does not seem possible, but 'Pines Day has cycled around once again.
And as always, Carl and crew are ready, willing and able to help everyone have a good time, ably assisted by a good supply of fresh fired twinkies and plenty of ice cold sweet tea.
As usual, I hope to see everyone there!

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day! I hope everyone's day is off to a good start!!

So far we have a cooler, rainy day. The remnants of Irma are making their way through. I was kind of in the mood for a good rainy day, so it's ok!

I just noticed there is a Touch by an Angel Christmas episode on at 9am EST on UP. Guess what will be on my tv??

I dug my fall decs out of the attic last night but they haven't made their way downstairs yet. I did carry my wood carved pumpkin down. Every night a little more fall is showing up in our house!

I love beef and noodles...Just saying!!! LOL!!!

Me too! Unfortunately I don't think the roast was quite big enough to make both, so it all became pot roast. Which was delicious by the way! The next one will be beef 'n noodles!

Happy Pines Day! Today we will see a high of 80 degrees with mostly cloudy skies and the chance of a thunderstorm. Not terrible but not quite as nice as it's been lately. We put up the November calendar at work and it was amazing to see Thanksgiving up on our wall now. We always put up 2 months ahead. My co-worker asked if it's bad she wants to skip right to Thanksgiving now lol. I told her yes it's bad cause I don't want to rush it. Anyway, hope everyone has a great day today. Enjoy it!

Merry Pines Day!
It's going to be partly cloudy today, chance of an afternoon shower with highs near 78 degrees. Not too much going on here. I need to stop at the post office & bank and I'm going to take a ride to Whole Foods at some point. That's about it. Dinner will be spaghetti and chicken Parmesan

Happy Pines Day!! Looks like it is going to be another nice day. Just work for me today and tonight I am going to the middle school open house. I pulled out my fall decorations but just have not put them out yet. Hope you all have a great day!

Today at my store I saw flannel sheets with red and green pine trees and another with a deer pattern. Stopped dead in my tracks, first sign of Christmas at our store.

Good Wednesday morning! This week seems like it's dragging on and on. But it is truly a Summer week, with sunshine and highs around 25°C/77°F. After a couple of bad nights' sleep, I had a more restful night last night and I'm getting some things done this morning before my afternoon/evening shift. I have some groceries to buy to prepare some food for the social committee's apple-themed meal on Friday. Then we'll have to set up an October and November activity and get the ball rolling on the preparations for our Christmas party. Time flies. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!

Good Morning, MMC!!!! Well it's back to reality here. I got a call at 6am that Katie was sick and couldn't go to school. My sister called and made her a doctor's appointment and I took her a little bit ago. She has a sinus infection and a double ear infection. So she's probably going to be here with me for a few days. I'm trying to get her to help me decorate for fall but all she wants to do is lay on the couch and watch video's on her phone. I have managed to get chili on for dinner. I have been craving it so I wanted to make it before it warmed up starting tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a great day!!!!
