Good morning everyone! It was 28 degrees here this morning! I actually had to turn on the heat and we turned on the fireplace last night. We have 5 cats total, but 2 of them are our new kittens we adopted in August and they were quite intrigued with the warmth from the fire! Tonight is our trick or treat so I think we will order some Chinese food after we are done passing out candy. I am looking forward to starting on my Christmas trees on Wednesday...I always start on 11/01! I hope everyone has a great day!

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

It's chilly and sunny around here this morning. It's my favorite kind of weather! I have my office windows open, and a cold breeze is coming through. It makes a cup of coffee even more special!

My mom is in the mountains, just a few miles from @mgramsey and she says the fall colors are on full display. I'm so ready to go back!

Yes its a great time of the year in the mountains. Leafs are past peak on the mountain ridges but at peak color in the valleys. Temp was 32 on our front porch this morning. Still too warm for this time of the year but I'll take it.
Hope your mom enjoys her time in Maggie Valley.

It's fascinating just how giddy the Season can still make us after all these years. So many signs of Christmas Blossoming right before our very eyes, it's fantastic!

Yep.
I take almost daily walks at Crabtree Valley Mall for exercise and can watch the decorations slowly go up by the day.
It's rather like seeing flowers emerge during the spring!

Our trick or treat was last Sunday afternoon. We weren't home. Our town has a little parade & then the kids go trick or treating. Our nieces/nephews will come over & that's usually about it. I bring some candy to the next door neighbor kids - b/c they went out on Sunday when we weren't home!

So I see the Rockefeller Tree Lighting is set for November 29th, but I don't see that they have announced yet where it will come from? Has anyone heard?

Ohh yours was last Sunday...Kids have some friends coming over for Dinner then they will go trick r treating in our area...I will be staying at home being the Grimm Reaper lol...Lat year we had about 50 kids so hoping to beat that this year...

I don't like that they changed it in our town to an afternoon & it's too many weeks before Halloween! I think that would ruin half the fun!!!
