Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!!

Well I went to the grocery last night & it was just starting to get dark on my way home. I didn't see any tree's in windows, but I saw a house that had their lights on their outside tree's (not on) & some homes with Christmas wreaths on windows. I went to Moms later last night & saw Christmas tree's through windows in 2 homes in our own neighborhood!!! One is my friend so I new she had hers up - had to drive by! It's getting exciting!!!

That IS exciting! I have not spotted my first decorated house yet. Hopefully my own tree will be up this weekend. A bit earlier than usual but i'm ready.

I hope everyone is doing well! My computer/phone/self/family have been having problems and that is why I have been missing on here. I really miss coming here!

At my cousin's so I popped on before we begin our big day of Christmas merriment. Off to see Brian Setzer's Christmas show at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. What a birthday present from her and her hubs! She is about ready so I had best get going.

Good Wednesday (late) morning! I'm working the afternoon/evening shift again today, so I took it easy this morning. I ordedred battery-operated lights but they came to deliver them yesterday when no one was home, so I'll have to go and pick them up tomorrow at the post office. I'm really hoping they're good quality, we want to decorate our balcony this year but there's no electrical outlet. Have a great day everyone!

I have several strands of batter operated lights (just the little ones) - I love them! I hope yours are a good quality. That will be pretty! Are they multi, clear, or other?

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

Elizabeth's One-Act Play State competition is this afternoon. Luckily, it's being held in nearby Vidalia, GA, so I don't have to take the whole day off of work. Usually, it's held in Albany, GA, several hours away.

It's so cool here, I'm wearing a sweater...in November!! That's awesome for southeast Georgia!

Hope your appointment today & then your maintenance goes well! xx My friend who is an excellent naturopath has decided to close their store. (she has a co-owner/friend in the business with her) They have such a great business going, people will be bummed. She's going to continue seeing some people in her home, & she has another work opportunity (in the same type business) but there are some health issues with their parents & she has 5 kids, I think it's just gotten too be too much.

I just ordered new battery window candles...I hope they are bright enough! They had good reviews so we will see...Have a great day!

Good morning MMC!!

I've already taken my tree down. (You read that right.. down not up!) It was too much with the kitten. Between the fake snow all over the house that I'll never get out of the carpet and her bending branches down I figured it'd be better to just put it away this year until she's older next year. (It wasn't cheap and I'd like it to last more than 2 Christmases!)

We're going to get our real tree Friday!! I have this strange idea that the kitten will leave the real tree alone. Hahaha! Just thinking positive! Hope you all have a great day!

I would set the tree up and not put anything in it for a few days. That way the cats could play on it and get it out of their system.

Hey we are all entitled to have those days. When you do, it always helps coming here I have at least one National Lampoon meltdown before the big day LOL

I feel a lot better today - that frosty, rime-kissed crispiness in the environment is here again this morning, and i had a mad training sesh last night in preparation, so slept like a log.

So what, prae Festive Spirit, is your main stress? The cooking? Kid(s) running around your feet?

I'll say it again, even without kids i find it a mad rush on the day to "context switch" all the cooking, etc, so i can only (barely) imagine what its like with children.

In the old days, the saving grace of parents (mine included) was the marathon "premium" films being shown on the telly - back-to-back hollywood juggernauts like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, James Bond, The Queen's Speech (joke).
