My mom laughed when I told her. She said the real tree will be worse and it probably will.. but it only needs to hang in there for a month or so VS lasting years. My oldest daughter (12) started volunteering this past summer at the animal shelter so I was somehow talked into 3 kittens!Oh nooooo! What a bummer - what a little stinker!!! At least you will have your real tree!! Hopefully she'll let the real tree alone & be a better kitty with your fake tree by next year!! xx
I hope you have better luck with yours than I am with this little girl of mine! She seems to find places every day that I didn't know existed until now. Behind the electric fireplace.. in between where the kitchen cabinets meet in the corner.. she's like a little ferret!!Oh dear so sorry you had to take it down. I have two new kittens and we are all wondering what they are going to be like when the tree goes up on weekend. eeeek.
Good luck with the real one.
Have a great day.

Good morning!
I hope everyone has been more productive than me this holiday season! Thanksgiving is fast approaching and all I have so far is the turkey. I've got to get to the store this weekend and buy the rest of the meal. And I'm so behind on my Christmas shopping! I normally start in July when the Christmas spirit starts to hit but this year I JUST started last week.Four kids on Christmas morning so it usually takes starting early! When we bought this house, the first thing I did was change the knob on my closet door to one with a key JUST for a place to hide presents.
It's looking sad in there to be this close to Christmas! I'm hoping to get most of it done next weekend. My oldest has just asked for clothes so that's easy enough. I have no clue where to start with the others. I ask for lists and I get the dreaded "I don't know". I've been looking into the Meccano robot Max for my son. When I showed my daughter, she said don't buy that for him, I want that! Lol. She's my little helper since she found out about Santa two years ago. It's nice to be able to talk about presents with her but sad too that they're getting older.
Guess I'll be shopping with the crowds this year!
Update on the kitten since we took the tree down.. she found another, but I'm sure it's not quite as fun for her.

Thanks Crown! Last Thursday before Thanksgiving!** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 4 **
Good Morning, Friends.
Progressing right along into Christmas Season 2017, we are!
But just because the Season has arrived and we are reveling in it, does not mean we have stopped counting.
Oh, no!
The count goes on, as today's figures prove:
Days to Thanksgiving: 7 (That's ONE WEEK FROM TODAY, Folks!)
Days to Christmas Day: 39 (Barely over 5 1/2 weeks left to go!)
(We are in exciting times, with more excitement to come!)
It was still rather chilly yesterday, but sunny and dry with little wind.
Today should see a brief warming trend (into the mid 60's) before somewhat cooler weather returns for tomorrow.
Our back yard thermometer tells us it is 42 degrees here, currently.
Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everyone.
(Tomorrow will be the first Weekend Eve of the Season, Guys!)
What a cutie!! Both my daughters know about Santa but my youngest still gets excited writing out her list.Good morning!

Merry Friday Eve Tis!Evening everyone and a happy Pines day to one and all. Friday Eve is just around the corner.
Maybe they can look up the purchase by the card you paid with. That's how a lot of places around here do it. Worth a try. Good luck!!
I'm glad that turned out in your favor, and that they made good on the defective tree. Enjoy your new Christmas tree! (And post pix please!)They found the receipt! The new tree is up!
