Thanks Crown! That was a great game yesterday!Good Morning, Milestone Trappers.
And marker number one is just about to step into our time trap.
First, today's data:
Days to the Season: 301
Days to Christmas Day: 343
Yes, tomorrow the trap will be sprung, the 300-day Season Window will be captured and opened, and for the next 100 days, we will gaze on a landscape populated by 200's level numbers to Christmas Season 2017.
(Hey! A bit of excitement in the dead of January!)
Nicely warm again for January yesterday, with just a touch of evening rain.
It should be dry today and continued unseasonably warm.
(And this time of year, I LOVE unseasonable warmth!)
Currently, an inspection of our back door thermometer reveals that it is 44 degrees here in our part of MMC Land.
Wasn't that an exciting and nerve-wracking win by the Packers yesterday?
(Took at least a few hours off my life!)
Now, it's the Packers and the Falcons for the NFC championship!
Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone.
And a Stellar Start to your new week!

Lol..with 2 boys I would have to do a dropoff everyday of the week.We don't do laundry here anymore. I don't know why we didn't "farm it out" years ago. My husband can't handle the stairs and I'd rather not be bogged down with another chore so I drop it off and the laundromat after my work out and my husband picks it up later in the day. Love how they fold everything as if it was being wrapped as a gift.
Happy Birthday to Henry!!Good morning!
Today is Henry's birthday. He wanted to eat breakfast at Panera this morning, so he decided to wake us up at 6:40! We eventually got up and going. Now we have a few hours before we pick up his friend and then head out for birthday fun.
Everyone have a wonderful day!
I'm sorry your mom still isn't feeling much better. I bet she'll spring back once she gets home. hope you have a great day, too!Good morning MMC!! Merry Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend!!
Mom had a semi-rough weekend. She's definitely taken steps backwards after coming down with the flu last week! She's scheduled to come home today for a home evaluation - hoping that can happen & she's having a good day. Would be nice for her to take a nap at her own house & have Emma make her a nice meal before heading back. HOPEFULLY the doc will still release her on Wednesday. xx
When I went to visit mom on Saturday afternoon, she was sound asleep so what's a girl to do? Oh ya - go to Ben Franklin & buy Christmas something's at 85% off!![]()

Everyone, have a great day!!!
Hope you stayed safe!! We got some freezing rain but main roads were ok due to temps in the high 20's & salt!Yep. We are under a freezing rain advisory until 1pm on Sunday. So I'll just be hunkering down inside.
Awe - glad to hear Raven is doing better. Hope she'll be chasing Jasper in no time!!Good afternoon everyone .. Well Raven's seroma is now half the size it was when we took her to the vet however she is still mad that she can't chase Jasper (our cat)
Weather calling for snow showers and maybe one inch tomorrow. Sounds like perfect weather to bake and make soup
Have a great day
Yea I saw this morning that it's over. I was hoping it would last through at least this weekend.
And same here. I still have my mid size tree up and fully decorated, and have been mostly watching all my DVR recordings from December. Good to know others are doing the same! I think this will be my last day of really fully celebrating the season though. I'll just be watching my DVRs from December all day today and enjoying my tree. Then as my second full work week starts up I'll see if I feel like doing anything Christmassy or not. If I do I will. If not then I won't force it. I am still seeing some houses with Christmas lights on, so that's good.
I think by next week though everyone will have moved on and will be paying attention to politics so this weekend might make good for doing some last Christmassy things. Then by my days off next week I'll go ahead and take everything down.
Go Harris Teeter!!Hey. Crabtree isn't the only shopping center still clinging to its Christmas decorations.
Our local grocery store still sports its holiday wreath.
(Took this picture early this afternoon.)

Glad you were able to get your meds refilled. Hope they help & you are having a nice day off!Good evening,
I am very tired again, I do have to work tomorrow and Sunday, but i have Monday off. Finally got my prescription for my anxiety refilled after 2 weeks, everytime I called the Dr office, I got a recording or it just rang, finally got through. I have had terrible nights sleep for the last week, with frightening dreams accompanying the time when I was sleeping. Hopefully being back on the Rx will take care of the dreams.
My trees are still up, I still love looking at them.
I am going to retire for the night.
Goodnight, everyone
Am I just totally crazy that I spent all of today doing Christmassy things? I watched several Christmas movies and TV episodes on my DVR throughout the day, listened to Christmas music, went to the store but drove around a bit first specifically to find decorations still up, decided to keep my own decorations and tree up until my days off next week (thought the same thing last week about this week), and just kept reminiscing and trying to recreate what it was like throughout December. I just didn't want to do anything else, to be honest I couldn't do anything else, just cuz it's still so close to having recently been the season, I don't want to move on from it. I guess I'm not as ready to let it go as I thought.
Has anyone ever seen the episode of King of the Hill called Twas the Nut Before Christmas? I just watched it again a little while ago from when I recorded it in December. It's when Bill becomes Santa during the season, and if you know the show you know Bill definitely has a few loose screws in his head. Anyways, he finds so much joy and gets so much attention and adoration from being Santa during the season that when it's over it doesn't even occur to him to end it when the season ends, going so far as to keep running his Santa's village and maintaining his Santa persona pretty late into January. It's kind of weird and dark if you imagine something like that to happen in real life. It's funny, and in line with the humor of the show, but weird nonetheless. Hank and the other guys try to nudge him out of it, and through another series of events he finally does snap out of it. But I hate to admit it, I'd be lying if I said I don't see a little bit of myself in Bill during this episode. Obviously not to the extend that is portrayed in the episode, but like I said, it's hard to watch it and not in some way understand what's going on in his head.
I don't doubt that if a psychologist knew just how passionate I am for Christmas that I would be diagnosed with some kind of label for it. Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with being this way and totally embrace it. I'm just saying, if I really unfiltered expressed my love for Christmas and the extent to which I go all out for it, to include not wanting to let it go when it's over, I think the majority of people would see it a bit odd, and maybe even think something's wrong with me.
But that's why I'm here at MMC so I can do that and people won't look at me weird.
Anyways, that's my post-Christmas thought of the day.

Nice to see you Ryan!! Hope all is well with you & you are all enjoying your 4 day weekend!!Hello everyone. I have not been around nearly as much as I'd like to be. This year has started off busy!
I hope everyone is doing well. We were supposed to get a major ice storm in these parts but so far it hasn't been much. They did cancel work and school yesterday for everyone in my house. With MLK Day on Monday, it's a four day weekend for us.
I hope you all have a great Saturday.
