Oh, I have a few stories to tell!

I sure wish I could find that lost photo, and the note he mailed to me. We weren't allowed to ask for autographs at the convention, so I slipped him a letter with my address and my friend's. He wrote me a short handwritten note, and sent my friend a postcard. That note is with the photo, wherever that's got to---lost somewhere in the house.

I got to meet him at a Toy-Con sort of convention years ago. I had him sign a Tardis and a figure of himself,even threw in a free autographed pic. Wish I could say it was free of charge..but the actors were hired by companies A, B, C, D and you payed a set amount at each companies entrance and got to enter for autographs. Pics with you and the actor were outrageous..it seems like they were 75.00 per actor.

Snowflake is busier than ever. They had another employee that had to take a couple months off and thery still haven't replaced all the people they lost last fall.

Lol..Made maybe you could suggest they use a temp agency? Thats a long time to go not to hire any replacements.

I have one old cassette that's nothing but old-time radio commercials. Bet you'd love it! It's also funny how certain programs, like "Fibber McGee and Molly" and Jack Benny's program, would work the commercials into the script.

I love the Space Patrol commercials..."Rice Chex, Wheat Chex, Ralston Purina...fuel up your morning!!"

Its raising heck with our internet connection. I have my router running off of a usb dongle atm. Lol..cell phone dongle is faster than my normal internet connection.

Good Morning/Afternoon christmas friends...Hope everyone is having a merry day so far....Just having a quick cuppa tea before i get cracking again...Ive just got 2 more walls to do then thats the 1st coat done...My wife came home at lunch time and said she doesn't know if she likes that colour or not...Well the steam came out of my ears lol...

Wow, that IS outrageous! I don't recall being charged a fee; we just stood in line, and when we got there, we had someone snap our picture with him. I guess it was only a matter of time before that was commercialized.

Greetings Prancer. Now that I can kind of relate to. I have been waiting (several years now) for my better half to choose a color for the living room/dining room area. I told her how much I loved her and also let her know that she has until Spring to choose (that's when we can open the windows) or I will take the reins and she will have to live with it.
We'll see. Have a terrific Tuesday...

Good morning... today is my first day (or actually night) back to work. Got up early to get a few things done, so I can get some sleep during the day. I will wake myself up a little earlier than usual due to the coming snow. I'm sure that some shoveling will be required.

Good Morning, MMC!! Its going to be a dreary day but at least it will be in tyhe 40's. They are talking snow everyday from Thursday to Monday though. Boo!! I have some errands to run today and then its back home to make lasagna. I've been craving it for a few weeks now. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Ha Ha Prancer....my husband painted our whole loving room and when he was done I decided it was no the right color. He was not happy to say the least...lol Hope you have a great day!

Good morning MMC!!!! It sure is Monday!!!! (but that's ok, right?!) A very rainy Monday!!

What a weekend. We got my Mom home yesterday! YAY!!! I stayed with her last night, overnight. She went to bed shortly after 8:00 and within about 20 minutes she was ringing & ringing & ringing the bell on her walker. I went RUNNING in her room & asked what she needed?!?!?! She said "nothing, just thought I would see how long it takes you to come!!" Little sh*t!!! She's full of PNV!!! Trouble maker!!!! (I like it!)

On a much less happy note, our friends Dad who was admitted to the same nursing home my mom was in on Wednesday - also a neighbor & relative to my hubby - passed away.
One of my very good friends (the one I Christmas shop with every year & have "cookie day" with) - her Grandma passed away (which was probably a blessing) but also her cousin - 21 - committed suicide! 2017 is not starting well!!!

Despite all the sadness, there were some very happy moments as well! I do hope & pray you all had a great weekend too.

Good morning to all my MMC friends. Got a very early start at the laundromat (3AM). Yes, I have a washer & dryer, but some things are just too big for those appliances. While there I got the constant updates for the upcoming snow storm. Here in Sioux Falls, we can expect 6" - 10" over the next 24 hours. Then a break in the action, with cold, but no more precipitation.
Going to try to get to bed a few hours early today, so that I can get up earlier and shovel some snow. But hey, all you guys have a great day and don't forget the coffee (along with a piece of apple pie).

Happy Tuesday! My kids had a 2 hr delay due to some down trees on some of the roads. We started off with sleet and changed over to rain overnight but that wind was so strong. I will take the rain over snow..lol Hope you all have a great day!

Morning! We had a lot of rain last night but if the temperature was 5 degrees colder we'd be digging out from probably 18 inches of snow. I'll take the rain instead and wind. But today we will see a little more rain but not as bad as last night. Wednesday/Thursday look to be beautiful days for late January before a more normal chill hits in for the weekend. Not sure if anyone realizes but...1 month ago was Christmas Eve...11 to go. That amazes me because this will probably seem like the "longest month" and yet it went by so fast. Have a great Tuesday!

I think alot of the Toy shows do that since they arent as big as Comic Con's. Although 100x more money is exchanged at a Toy Show. You havent lived until you watch a Star Wars nut pay 2000.00 for a Fine Molds Millenium Falcon model. I kind of think I was told at that show, the actors were flown,housed,fed by the companies. The money they made from pics,autographs and a cut of the entrance is what they used to make. I believe some actors even sold merchandise where they would sit and autograph it.

I use to collect comic books, you should see the cash that is put out for some of the Golden and Silver age issues. I once watched a $25,000 sale of a Mint copy of Amazing Fantasy #15 (1st Appearance of Spider-man) and that was a long time ago.

Hello all! Been awhile!!!

It's much cooler today than it has been, in the mid-40's this morning and only going to the mid-60's this afternoon. Brr! LOL

I don't really have much to report today. Still praying for @Festive Spirit and @Christmas-A-Holic. And I hope to see @snowflake22 back here soon!

Thanks so much for the prayers! Bradmac and a few others know the details but I have no idea how much info has been shared on here with others about my health. Had cancer surgery Thursday and the good news that it did not spread to the lymph nodes! I will have to have radiation treatments starting in a few weeks. I must say, I feel pretty darn good for what I have gone through. Everything is going to be just fine!

Thanks to all who have sent messages of support, prayers and love!

So glad you have your mom back home! Very sorry to hear about your other losses, though. Things will have to brighten up for you soon.

Good afternoon ~
Just wanted to say hello and Happy Monday!
Hope everyone's having a nice day so far. I'm just having a cup of coffee and relaxing for a few minutes. I have a pot of Italian Wedding Soup simmering on the stove and I'm working on the laundry. We're starting to feel the effects of the nor'easter. It's supposed to bring high winds, heavy rain and possible flooding here on the island. Unfortunately, I have to head out in a little bit. My oldest has a doctor appointment because she isn't feeling well. She was just sick recently and took a round of antibiotics, not sure why she's still unwell. We'll see what the doctor says. Hopefully we'll be back home before the heavy rain starts. I'm already dreading having to bring little Maggie out to potty in the storm. Hope it passes quickly. I'll probably pop back in later this evening. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the day!

I hope your daughter is feeling better quick! So many bugs hanging around this year. Stay safe in the storm.
