Hello all! Been awhile!!!

Thanks so much for the prayers! Bradmac and a few others know the details but I have no idea how much info has been shared on here with others about my health. Had cancer surgery Thursday and the good news that it did not spread to the lymph nodes! I will have to have radiation treatments starting in a few weeks. I must say, I feel pretty darn good for what I have gone through. Everything is going to be just fine! :)

Thanks to all who have sent messages of support, prayers and love!

A little follow up from my other post. I thought I might share with my Christmas friends but while going through my cancer, surgery and upcoming treatments I tend to worry once in awhile. When the worry starts up I put on the movie Elf. That movie has the innocent childlike Christmas dose I need! It sure does help! Ha ha! Overall, I feel very confidant about a full recovery but I'm human and worry kicks in from time to time. Christmas has always been therapy for me and go to it year round if needed!

I hope you are all doing well! Sure miss it here!
So nice to see you posting CAH!! And that is wonderful news!!!
My Christmas is all still up - part of the reason is we have been so busy with mom, BUT at the same time when she was in the hospital or nursing home, I would come home at night to see all my lights shining = very comforting! Still loving it!
Continued hugs & prayers being sent your way!!

Morning MMC! Happy Rudolph Day #1. Hard to believe already isn't it? The house down my block still has their outside tree lit. I really appreciate it now because there's very few that have anything lit outside anymore. My tree will come down this weekend so I still have a few more days to enjoy it. Looks like we are going to have a couple of nice days after all the rain we got. Last night I took Rollins out and almost fell because there was heavy sleet falling. It got very icy but now it's fine out there. Have a great Wednesday and Rudolph Day!
Happy Rudolph Day!! Our tree is coming down this weekend. A couple of people on my street still have there lights on!

This story is long overdo but can't think of a better place to share this.

A few days before the Thanksgiving holiday I had a biopsy. The whole Thanksgiving holiday was overshadowed by fear and worry not knowing what the results were going to be. That Monday after Thanksgiving I get the diagnosis that I have breast cancer, not knowing anything else, no clue how far along, etc. I sunk to an all time low and could barely get out of bed for 2 days, not like me at all! I am usually an optimistic person. Also, through Thanksgiving and right after that I am all Christmas mode, well that wasn't going on with me either and people noticed. After staying sad for a couple of days my dad calls and ask if I want to go to Hobby Lobby. I asked what did he need there because he only goes when he needs supplies for models he builds. He said, "nothing, just thought we could go look around". Hmm... Odd, then I told my husband that I think he is trying to get me out to look at Christmas stuff to cheer me up! My dad is so sweet!!! I went with him and it sorta helped but I still worried. A few days later I finally go to the doctor to find out it was caught very early and the prognosis looks good. Hubby and I were so excited by the news that I text my daughter from the doctor's office and told her to call her grandparents (my mom and dad). My dad responded, "oh good, maybe she will get her Christmas spirit back"! Everyone knows how much I love Christmas and worry like crazy if it's not on my mind. :)
Your Dad sounds like a such a great guy!!
So happy that they caught it in the early stages with a great prognosis!

Good Wednesday morning! Well yesterday's "big storm" turned into a morning of freezing rain, followed by a couple of hours of big fluffy snow and then nothing. It will remain mild for a few days and then Winter temperatures are coming back. I'm working the afternoon/evening shift again, giving more training again. Not as much fun when one has a cold. Looking forward to a long weekend starting Friday. Have a great day everyone!
Have a great day, Martine...hope you are feeling better! Our winter weather is coming back too!

Good morning MMC!!! Didn't have a chance to catch up yesterday. Hopefully today I can!! xx

Hope all is well with all of you! It's a really rainy morning here! Very dreary!! But we're supposed to hit 54º this afternoon before the snow starts tonight. Geez!

Have a Merry day!! Happy Pines Day!

Greetings, MMC!

Hope you're all doing well~

We are doing pretty good, enjoying the winter weather in Northern Wisconsin =]

Things continue to be busy on our end.
We have filled a position at work, but one of my bosses recently had surgery and is out for a few months, so not much slowing down in the future.

Harlowe is still having health issues, fingers crossed she gets relief soon.
We are going to try her dental surgery again next month. A bit worried about that but know it's very important for her.

My FIL is still struggling, but we are grateful for his good days.

Adi has been traveling a lot for work, but he is home now so trying to spend as much time as possible with him before he has to leave again.

I keep in touch and updated through messages & e-mails. You all remain in my thoughts & prayers daily.
Sending hugs!

Peace & blessings ❤
It's great to see you on here Snowflake! I sure hope things turn around very soon for sweet Har & her dental surgery goes off w/o a hitch!! xx
Prayers for Adi's Dad!
Hope thing calm down for you very soon at home & at work! xx
Have a wonderful day!!!

Happy Rudolph Day!! Last night, we got some sad news from our friends. His father died from Alzheimer's, he has been battling it over 10 years and has been in hospice for the last 3 years so I guess you can consider it a blessing. Such a terrible disease. We are going to go to the service on Friday morning.
Just work for me today and my daughter has dance tonight. The weather is supposed to be pretty mild and then colder this weekend.
Hope you all have a great day!

Went to Walmart for cough drops and came home with a pressure cooker. Darn them and their displays.
Love it!!! Hope you love your new pressure cooker!! I got one for Christmas! Let me know when you find yummy things to make in it!!!! I tried a roast in mine. Thumbs down! Ended up putting it in the crock pot for the afternoon - the next day. Made Cheeseburger soup - which turned out well. I'm just not sure about it yet...I'm still kinda partial to my good ol crock pot! ;)

Very happy that your mom is home and that she is full of PNV ~ good attitude for healing!

Oh my, many prayers going up for the families and friends of those who passed away. (((HUGS)))

I hope and pray you have a merrier-rest-of-the-week!
Thank you Meceka!!

Merry Tuesday!

Relaxing a bit before I do a few chores. Then I am going to finish the book I am currently reading and if I'm not sleepy, start a new one. Great way to spend a rainy evening. :)

Be safe and merry!
Hope you enjoyed your book! Hope the rest of your week is merry as well! :)

A long time ago my wife sent me to Walmart with a list. I came back with a new car. To this day she tells everyone that I am a typical man because I never stick to the list.
:eek::p Now that's funny!!!

Hello everyone. Things have been busy as I finished a project. But I'm done and relaxing as of tonight! I hope y'all have a great Leon day tomorrow!
Good morning Ryan!! Nice to see you! Hope things slow down for you!!! Have a great day !

Merry Rudolph Day!!!!
I was thinking about taking my tree & decs down tonight since this will be the 1st night I have had free in a long while (knocking on wood) - but I'm not sure yet. I'm still enjoying it. LOL! We have our lake neighbors coming over Saturday for our "Christmas get together" - maybe I should let it up for that. Hmmm! :D
Have a good day!

Good Morning, Super Season Supporters Safely Sailing Serenely Skyward.

And the sky's the limit for our amazement at the approaching proximity of 2017 Milestone marker number two!

Days to the Season: 292
Days to Christmas Day: 334

That looming marker, believe it or not at your will, is none other than the ONE QUARTER point to our long-awaited and much-coveted Christmas Season.
And wonders of wonders, we are now barely over 2 1/2 weeks away from said destination.
(Wow!)

Still the delightfully unseasonably warm weather. One more day before winter starts to let us know it is still very much here.
Currently, we perceive 41.1 degrees on our digital back door temperature recorder under calm, sunny skies and we are headed for a high close to 70 by this afternoon.

The Shispering Pines? It's open.
Carl? He's ready at the front door.
The fired twinkies? Hot out of the oven and freshly frosted.
The southern iced tea? Sweetened to perfection.
The entertainment? Well.....you'll need to come to judge that for yourselves.
Hope to see you there.

Pending that, you have a Wonderful Wednesday, Folks!
Enjoy the warm temps...see you tonight!

Good Morning MMC !

and happy Rudolf day to you all ! :blinky:

This also is my moms 86th birthday. She is off at my sisters in Vermont right now. She is an amazing woman who can out walk most teenagers.

I have the day off work so am going shopping with my eldest daughter in Kitchener.

hoping you all have a great day !
Happy Birthday to your Mom!!
Have fun shopping today!
Merry Rudolph day!

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

It's amazing how quickly the weather can change. All last weekend was stormy and scary, but yesterday and today, the skies are blue and the air has a nip in it. Thank goodness!

I think I'm going to the auction with my brother this Friday night. He keeps finding killer deals, and then showing me pictures of them. No more! It's time to get a killer deal for myself! Actually, he gave me one of the awesome smokers that he got there, when he could have sold one for a profit. What a thoughtful little brother!

I hope y'all have a great day!

Happy Rudolph Day!
-reindeer-
Hope you & Jim have fun at the auction & come across some good finds!!! xx
Have a merry Rudolph Day Brad!
