I just finished making Rice Krispie hearts for a bake sale at work. Tomorrow I'll make red-and-pink Smarties (similar to M&Ms) cookies and Sunday I'll make chocolate cupcakes with chocolate buttercream. It's Valentine's Day themed, you can never have enough chocolate for Valentine's Day

They look delicious. Mmm... Great job!
Would love to come to that bake sale!!

Happy Saturday Solice, hope you have a beautiful day!

Good morning MMC ~
Merry Saturday!
Not too much going on here today. I have to go food shopping this morning. I'll be visiting my parents later this afternoon. Just taking it easy this evening, going to order pizza for dinner and catch up on some shows. That's about it. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful weekend!
xx

Happy Weekend MMC! A chilly but not terrible weekend here. We got a dusting of snow last night and maybe a little rain/snow on Sunday. We'll see. Anyway, I'm snowed out but it's a good weekend to throw on a few Christmas shows. Not a lot going on till Sunday evening when we will have dinner at my Uncle's for TWD returning. We usually see him every other month for a Sunday dinner. Always fun. But with my days off this week I was able to get a lot of stuff done so it clears the weekend some to have time to relax. Have a great Saturday!!

Good Morning, Milestone-Day-Tomorrow Anticipators.

Yes, Sir. Tomorrow indeed!
More details below.

Now hear (actually, read) this:
Days to the Season: 275
Days to Christmas Day: 317

And it is with shock and awe that we realize that as of TOMORROW, we will have completed the entire first quarter of our journey to Christmas Season 2017, which began back on November 13 of last year.
(The beauty of the Season and its depth!)

Pretty chilly yesterday despite the sun.
But as for today -- I can't wait! We should hit near 70 by this afternoon, then close to 80 tomorrow.
(Wowzers!)
It won't last, of course. But let's enjoy it while we can!
Our thermometer reads 48 degrees here at this hour and we see calm, sunny skies.

Have a Sensational Saturday and a Stupendous Start to your Weekend, Everyone!

Thanks Crown! 1/4 of the way tomorrow!

We had a little more snow overnight, and another storm is due tomorrow night. Ugh! But I'm prepared to work from home Monday if the roads are bad.

Trying to relax this weekend, but I have things on my mind that can't be resolved until Monday. Anxiety keeps creeping up on me. I have a lot of support around me and shouldn't worry, but at times I just can't help it.

I hear that, and you're definitely not alone when it comes to that feeling. It's the not knowing that can make someone more anxious than anything. From the simple mundane things to the important significant things, even if whatever it is somebody is waiting on ultimately happens to not be in their favor, a lot of times that can be easier to deal with than the period beforehand of not knowing which it will be. Believe me that's something I struggle with on a daily basis. Just trust that the answer will come, and no matter which it is, you can handle it.

It's so weird, it was just a mere three weeks ago that I woke up and took down all my Christmas stuff. I have a few glass snow globes and glass mugs still sitting on my shelf only because I haven't gotten around to wrapping them up. But it's been in that time that I've finally crossed over into reality where Christmas is no longer any major motivation to have things a certain way throughout the day. Well, I'd say that happened a little while ago, though for some reason it occurred to me this morning that it wasn't too long ago I that woke up to a fully lit Christmas tree one last time.

We all worry about stuff we can't control. I know as the sayings go it's wasted energy. Worrying never solved anything. But we all do it at times...I've tried to remind myself of that when I worry...that I shouldn't worry about what i can't control.

Thank you ... there's a lot of truth in that. When you finally know, you can name your enemy and take the next step against it. And with Mr. and all the prayers going up for me, yes, I'll be able to handle it.

My head knows and understands all this, but my doggone nervous system doesn't sometimes, and won't listen to reason. But I'm going to have as pleasant a weekend as possible---even with more snow coming.

Noodle you should get ya one of the electronic picture frames and load it down with GOOGLE pics of Christmas you like. Then you can get some Christmas therapy whenever you turn it on. I have a buddy that uses one with Christmas pics from Jan- Oct another is a avid fisherman so his is all fishing pics during the winter months.

That's a great idea! Or even without buying a frame, you can set up a "slideshow" on your computer desktop or tablet.

I hope you do. And from past experience I have found the more I worried about a situation the less of a "situation" it turned out to be and then I look back on it shaking my head at the time I wasted worrying lol. Bring on spring...I've had enough of snow till December!
