And with each and every day, we move yet another step closer to our eagerly-awaited and much-coveted Christmas Season.

Thus, we present yet another day's figures:
Days to the Season: 248
Days to Christmas Day: 290

And now, Milestone marker number four is dead ahead in the cross hairs. Just FIVE days off, in fact! Then, we will enter the second third of our Season count.
(Just let that sink in, now. The SECOND third. That means only one more left after that!!)


Now get this. Yesterday's weather was outstanding, with highs in the 70's and abundant sunshine. Today should see us into the upper 60's.
Sunday? Snow.
That's right, I said SNOW. 1.5" worth in fact. That's what our local weather service is solemnly predicting.
Of course, they point out that not much will accumulate owing to the warm soil, but still........from the 70's to snow that fast.
Wow!
Currently, we are showing 56 degrees here on our thermometer under overcast and rain-threatening skies.


But regardless of how volatile your weather may be, you do your level best to have a Fabulous Friday, Friends. OK?

Good morning MMC! Happy, HAPPY Friday!!! This morning we have nothing but full sunshine & Brrrrrr!!! We are currently 25º colder than yesterday - only supposed to warm up by 2º today! But the sunshine sure is nice to see. We didn't get the snow that was predicted, or if we did, it was after dark & it's already melted due to the warm ground. Our grass is so green, it's crazy! Supposed to be bitter cold over the weekend though (15º) & we won't get out of the 30's until next week Friday so we'll see what happens to all our tulips, daffs, etc. Poor babies, going to be freezing!

So looking forward to the time change this weekend!!

I hope everyone's day is off to a great start!!! Merry Friday!!

Getting ready for a little bit of snow tonight, I will be sure to enjoy it since it may be one of the last snows of the season.
I picked out my corned beef for St. Paddy's day today, I love corned beef and I usually get it once a year.

TGIF! Hope everyone is ready for the weekend cause I am. It's snowing here this morning. We expect up to 3 inches of snow. But it's been so warm the last couple of days I doubt it will stick too much on the roads. It's going to be another bitter cold weekend like last weekend. I guess winter is getting us back for being so nice the 2nd half of February. Maybe a bigger storm next week but we'll see they keep changing what they say. Just gonna try to have a quick Friday and get to my weekend. Might order Chinese food tonight. Have a great day!!!

We made one for the boys day after Christmas. The chain runs around the whole ceiling in the playroom. 365 construction paper strips cut out, 365 staples..lol. It ever so slowly is shrinking

Love it!! Mine was over a year's worth too...they are HUGE! LOL! And yes, slow shrinking!! Takes a lot of time to put those together!! I bet your boys love it!

Bitter cold here as well. Stay warm Holiday. I too am looking forward to the time change, I just wish we stayed on Daylight Saving Time year-round.

Good Friday morning! A much-needed day off today. On Wednesday, I was up at 4:30am (couldn't sleep anymore) and to celebrate International women's day at work, I prepared a photo montage of all the women at work, then prepared some food for the pot luck organized by the social committee, went in early to help said committee set up the tables and then worked the afternoon/evening shift as planned. I tried to finish early yesterday to compensate but wound up working a normal full day where I didn't even stop to eat lunch. I'll get an extra day off next week which will give me a long weekend, really looking forward to it. Today will be a day for laundry and chores and doing our taxes. Have a great day everyone!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

Nancy has been working away, since she's and accountant and it's tax season. March 15 is some kind of corporate deadline, so she's been putting in extra hours this week. Elizabeth offered to cook dinner last night, and made an AWESOME chicken parmesan! I'm still full, but I'd eat some more right now!

I can't go to the auction tonight; I have to take Elizabeth to dance class. There's a pageant tonight, and Nancy and her sister have been hired to audit the scores (they do it every year). No great loss to me, though. I've never found a deal like those my brother finds when he goes by himself.

Lunch with mom & little brother today.

In the 70's & sunny yesterday, 1-3 inches of snow tomorrow & Sunday! Our blizzard was March 13, 1993, so we are not surprised that we're getting snow in mid-March. The latest I've ever seen snow is the first week of April. We had snow the week before Easter that year in the late '80s. Two weeks until spring break & school only has two "snow days" left for the year.

Thank you so much Martine. Maggie seems like she might be a bit better. Last night was rough but she's sleeping peacefully right now. She just started day three of the anti inflammatory pills so I'm hoping she'll continue to improve. Thank you for asking. I hope you enjoy your day off!

Happy Friday, MMC!!!! Its so nice to wake up with electricity this morning. We had the transformer behind our apartment blow up yesterday afternoon and it took until after midnight to get it switched out. Nothing to much going on here, just the same old same old.
