TGIF, Christmas friends!

I'd been trying to delay buying tires for my truck, even though they are pretty worn. I live just a couple miles from work, and we take Nancy's car when we travel as a family, so I thought I could push it out a little farther. Alas, it's not to be. I'm trying the find the best deal now, but trucks have pretty big (read: expensive) tires, doggone it.

I wound up sleeping downstairs because it was so hot in my bedroom (I NEVER do that) because our a.c. isn't up yet. But it was just ridiculously hot and luckily sleeping downstairs with the windows open and the box fan right on me I actually felt pretty comfortable. And I'm looking forward to this big cool down coming today/tonight.

Hope the cool down makes it more comfortable to sleep! Even my Mom (who keeps her house at 75º in the winter) turned on her air yesterday! It was a hot one! I saw 92º around 5:30 last night. Whew!

Good morning MMC!! Happy, HAPPY Friday!! It's a beautiful morning. Much cooler, but very comfortable outside! Not much sunshine, but it's not dreary either. I'll take it!

It's been such a busy week, I'm looking forward to the weekend! Though it's going to be a busy weekend too! I am staying with Mom this weekend, but we have 3 graduation parties - one tonight, 1 tomorrow & 1 Sunday! My sister is going to relieve me tonight so I can go to our nieces (other side of the family) graduation for awhile, tomorrow... we may miss that graduation. A lady from town here will be staying with mom tomorrow - she normally takes a 24 hour shift for us over the weekends. It's my friend from high school's son. He doesn't know us & a friend of ours is playing/singing out at the lake. I'm looking forward to hanging out at the lake & listening to some good music! We'll send a card with some $$$ to the graduate! Sunday is another friends daughters graduations party - my SIL is going to relieve me so I can go there for awhile too. One of these weekends we will have NO PLANS!! xx

For everyone talking about the heat...here is a pic of my cousins deck from last night ~ she hasn't posted this morning but at the time of this picture they were expecting another foot before today.

On that note, everyone....have a GREAT day!!!

It's great that you have so much help with your mom! Nancy's mom needs a little help, too, but while she had six children, only Nancy and one of her sisters helps.

I can't see the pictures you've been posting (I assume they are FB pix, which my work blocks) but it sounds like your cousin is still getting snow. Mom's place in the mountains got 6" last weekend, too. WOW!

I've actually been looking at Tirerack.com, but they want to charge me $70 shipping. How do you get free shipping?!? LOL

Look around for a coupon code that you can enter in. I found my last code just Google searching. For my tires even if I had to pay shipping I would still save about 400.00 bucks on a set.

Its Friday!!! Getting ready for the weekend here and decided to Bbq a rack of ribs this weekend. Today finds us 1 day closer to all the things that will lead us to Christmas. Its important to not skip over all the stuff that happens in between though. Lets get to our numbers and see how we are doing!
Days to the Season: 178
Days to Christmas: 220
In under 3 short weeks we will find ourselves at the halfway point to Christmas!
Everybody enjoy your weekend!! Get out there and BBQ something!

Thanks Gunny! Enjoy your BBQ ribs! Sounds delicious! I thought about brining our smoker to moms this weekend but with everything going on, I don't think I'll have time to use it! Bummer!

Oh, yeah. The have a $70 VISA gift card mailed to you, which does cover the freight. They actually have a facility within 45 miles from me. Their website says they allow you to pickup for free, but the online order form won't let me choose that option. Guess I'll have to order them the old-fashioned way, and actually call them.

I'm not either! It isn't even humid out and I've been miserable ~ doesn't bode well for the really hot days ahead. Thankfully it has cooled down quite a bit. Going down to 48 tonight. If Palmer didn't spend most of her night watching her favorite show, "Backyard at Night", I'd leave my window open. Seriously!

Morning MMC! TGIF! Can't believe we are heading into the final weekend before MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND and the unofficial start of summer. As I mentioned to Merry it was so hot last night I slept downstairs which I never do. The temp DOWNSTAIRS said 85 so imagine what it was upstairs where it's usually 5 degrees warmer at least in this type of heat. But with a good old fashioned (and strong might I add) box fan I slept fine and Rollins was thankful because imagine how hot our dogs feel in this heat with their hair. Looking forward to the big cool down coming today/tonight and then a much cooler weekend (just closer to normal for mid-May). Next weekend the a.c. goes up no matter how hot or not hot it is. Just a bunch of errands to do this weekend but nothing crazy. Have a great day everyone and TGIF to you all!

Yes, we are very blessed to have so much help with Mom! That's too bad not more of Mancy's family helps with her mom. They are missing out on making a lot of memories!
