Good Pinesday afternoon, Christmas friends!

It's been pretty hectic around here, and it doesn't look like it's going to let up anytime soon. On top of that, we're under another tornado watch. There was a watch all afternoon yesterday, but (thankfully) nothing happened. It flooded rain all day, and we're supposed to get more of it today.

Last night was Honors Night at Elizabeth's school. She received her Honor Roll trophy, as well as two Citizenship medals, and several other certificates. What a smart girl! After the awards, we were approached by several other parents says "Wow, Elizabeth has worn a path to the stage to get all those awards!"

And Jacob made the Dean's List again at University!

How proud I am!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Congratulations to Jacob and Elizabeth!!!
Praying the storms aren't too bad. Be safe Brad!

Crazy weather here. A storm system moved through the area late this evening. The storm was moving northwest, which is unusual in itself. What was really strange was the tornado that carried on for over an hour!! Luckily it was weak and there is not a ton of reported damage. The tornado moved just to the other side of the town I live in, so we were in no danger. I have been around tornadoes before, but that was the longest lasting one I have ever known about. Crazy!

Morning MMC! Hope everyone is having a good week so far. Happy Rudolph Day #5! Yikes already a handful of Rudolph Days this year. Everyone at work is excited for the long holiday weekend. In fact, I am working Friday with my coworker/friend while the other 2 are taking off yet our boss is also going away so it's just me and him. We pretty much are going to get most of our work done today so Friday should be more of a laid back hang out at work day than a stressful one. Hope everyone has a great day!

That's so scary, I'm glad to hear you're safe and sound.

Good morning ~
It's going to be a rainy day with highs near 60 degrees. I'm heading out soon, my doctor ordered some tests yesterday and I need to have blood drawn. Back home afterward to eat lol, I'm hungry already. I just threw dinner in to the crock pot, I'm making pulled pork sandwiches later tonight. I may run a couple of errands this afternoon, I'll see how the weather is. Other than that I'll be working on my daily chores. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!
xx

Good Morning, Milestone Seekers.

Seek and ye shall find.
But not until today's numbers have been presented, reviewed and fully internalized.
Only then, can the impact of our next pending marker be fully understood and appreciated.

As such:
Days to the Season: 172
Days to Christmas Day: 214

Those figure provide the context for our next Milestone, which just happens to be the 200-day Christmas Day Window, followed by the beginning of a double-100's count sequence.
And that major marker stands just 2 weeks off from today's date!
(Now, understanding should be complete.)

Rain, rain, and then more rain fell yesterday and the preceding night.
All in all, we recorded 2.4" in our back yard rain gauge.
Today? More rain, I'm afraid. An 80% chance, the weather service says.
(But that will just make dry Friday appreciated that much more!)
Currently, we perceive 65 soggy degrees here, and we are rain free for the moment.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everyone!

Thanks Crown! As we approach Memorial Day this is a big turning point in the count!

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve!! Woot! We've had some crazy weather in the area. Nothing overly severe right here by us yet (it was more south) but there are more storms predicted for today. We had some of the heaviest rain I have heard in a long time last night! Lots of flooding around, my friend was trying to get home from her moms about 15 miles from here & she had to turn around & spend the night at her moms b/c the roads were flooded! This morning everything in this area has receded but the radio station is warning to watch for debris on the road. Gracie spent 99% of the past 14 hours in the basement under "her" end table! She didn't go outside from 5 pm last night until 5:45 this morning. Testing her bladder I guess. Poor girl! She was terrified. I let the basement door open for her today but hopefully today is a much less eventful day!! xx

Looking forward to the Memorial weekend. I have a lot to get done before tomorrow! Need to get packed up for the lake, make a snack (queso dip) for the lake peeps for tomorrow night, get wedding clothes ready for Saturday & then the rest of the weekend....RELAX by the lake! :D

Everyone, have a wonderful Thursday!!!

It's disconcerting when your phone starts talking while you're at work, telling you that a tornado has been sighted in your area! That's happened two days in a row, although I haven't seen or heard of any damage nearby.

Hello everyone. Happy Pines Day!

Two more days of school. Gave some exams today, those are graded. More of the same tomorrow. These days move sooooo sloooowwww. However, I am getting some cleaning and organizing done.

Henry, my 8 year old, is running in a YMCA track club now. He had his first practice Monday and then again today. He seems to enjoy it quite a bit. They have two little meets in June. I like the Y's little sports. They are a good way to get young kids involved without getting too crazy in terms of time commitment.
Gracie went outside this morning to bark at her peeps walking to the bus for the last time until August today!! She won't know what to do in the mornings w/o her peeps! ;) :D
Hope you all stayed safe in the storms last night!! xx

Lulu, too, cries all the way through storms like we've had, bless her. I'm glad you didn't have any damage.

I hope you get good results from your tests!

Nancy had some blood work done a couple weeks ago (everything is fine), and one of the ordered tests was for vitamin D. My insurance said it was an "experimental" test, and they refused to pay for it! Now I'm on the hook for a few hundred dollars for a quick test. Grrr.

Holiday- I just saw that the Browns hired our former GM. I'm sorry. I'm sure you were thinking it couldn't get any worse.
Ha ha ha made!! I saw that too! BUT I quit thinking things couldn't get worse for the Browns, years ago! They never cease to amaze!!!:mad:
